I’ve been thinking about making a list of ways to avoid crashes on Switch. Some can’t be helped, but by now I think I’ve started figuring out the workarounds.
This is crazy lucky only played on my switch a little I’m going to stop until It gets an update so many glitches in this game I love it but disappointed
Night difference between my system exploding and game crashing, almost Gave up getting the game entirely with that title. Glad to see it's just a game crash issue
I have a huge farm in the last area and I've noticed its much better to do this with smaller things like weat and sugar cane etc because they are tiny. I did it with pumpkins and no joke, the whole part of that map was covered with them because they are huge items so it spread through the whole part of the map lol never again with pumpkin.
I started on PC with gamepass, bought the switch version for my daughter. Cannot believe how janky and broken the game is on switch! Saw lots of complaints but figured it was people just moaning but yikes 😬 its almost unplayable! Can't believe they're charging so much for it on the switch 😳
It’s literally almost unplayable on the switch. You’re right when you say that! I bought it on switch so I didn’t have to go to the gaming room and sit at my desk, but it was a mistake because I crash every 5 minutes with a big garden, and just randomly. I’m hoping it’s better on the MacBook when that version comes out, or I’ll just play it on my gaming pc.😫
People fail to realize that Dreamlight Valley is in Beta. They pre-released the game so people can play early. Instead of bashing a game or a system because you couldn't wait until full release of the game, how about you summit a bug/crash report, so it can be most likely fixed before the game comes out? Less than a week of you posting this comment, a lot of the game crash problems and bugs have been fixed on the switch.
@@donovan1345 i play on switch and dled the patch and it hasnt helped my game one bit. I have to save every minute and a half to two minutes bc mine still crashes every 7-10 minutes. No exaggerating. I have friends that play on switch and they havent had a fraction of the crashes i have. So no, they havent fixed most of the problems. I get its in early access but come on! Just bc it fixed your problem doesnt mean that everyone elses is magically fixed too. maybe you should be grateful that youre not dealing with these issues instead of acting like ppl dont have any right to have an opinion for reasonable complaints on something they spent their hard earned money on. I expected bugs but this is way beyond that. I quit playing bc it was so frustrating and it sucks bc i really wanted to love this game. To anyone else thinking about getting this game on switch, unless youre willing to take a gamble, wait till its free. At least it doesnt hurt as bad that way. 😉
I say again, the game is in beta. If you thought you could buy a beta game and it's free of bugs, crashes, and glitches, then it sounds like a you problem. They have fixed over 500 problems so far. The game less than 2 weeks old. It's not my fault that I knew I was buying a pre-release game that would have problems as they iron them out over the year. If you wanted a more stable game, learn from your frustration and wait until the game releases. You didnt have to pay a dime for this game, you chose to buy it to play early. It's like paying for a trailer to a movie and you being mad that it's not the full polished film.
I'm the one that posted the 789 plot pull, this is NOT recommended on Switch or low end PCs!! I have had several reports of saves breaking due to Memory loss from all the crops. The limit for PS5 is 600+ pumpkins and 900+ for smaller crops. Have fun.
simply bodypush the character into prison- dont go higher than 400 farm stuff or switch WILL shutdown game and possibly break character to not be able to function nor do any quests--- YoU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
This isn't a bug. You are doing something that wasn't intended to be done, in the game. I've only had a npc screw up a gold harvest a total of 7 times now, within the 128+ hours, I've played. It's easy to avoid. Once the gold harvest pops, keep holding the harvest button until your character takes a step forward to gather the next plant and you immediately let go of the button. Then just spam the button over and over. Your character will be in the perfect spot to gather the golden plant harvest, rapidly, without the worry of the npc getting in the way. They will walk right up to you so they can pick from the same spot, but you won't start a conversation.

However when i tried it with my canola ( about 500 plots) it did crash but i don’t think the crash was due to the trick, it just seems the game can only run on the switch for a limited amount of time before it crashes. I would caution switch users with bigger plots to only do so many at a time ( less then 100). But here’s to hoping they give us a patch soon.
I have been playing on both Switch and Xbox. Both quite buggy but the switch seems to crash every hour or two. Luckily never lost more than a few minutes progress but is so annoying. Xbox is more an issue with collectibles or unlocking stuff as will occasionally soft lock but a reload fixes. All in all still an amazing experience but I am avoiding things like this because know the extra entities will quickly cause issues. Maybe I'll try and start using my PC via games pass for now. Can't wait for the actual release though

This tip was so helpful! I just used the Trellis (Tall Brown Gates with vines on them) to trap them, was easier for me.

I play on the switch and this trick works fine and doesn’t crash my switch. Then again I only do it with a plot that’s a little over 100 pumpkins.

My switch can barely handle the normal game without many many crashes so I can well believe trying this would make it explode

This is not a bug or a glitch what is going on is server lag. I do this on my Xbox with 450 plots and I trap Wall - E

So I tried this with Wally and it didn’t break my game but can you trap people in a fence to get gems too?
