One cool feature is if a villager has a quest, you can talk to them without activating it. I’m very glad because once I’m done with my daily Remi quests, I wouldn’t want to accidentally activate the quest.
I dislike the sprint change! It isn't easier at all. Holding B was much easier then L. That was the first thing I noticed and it set my whole mood lol I only played for couple hours from being to agrivated. Also I planned to put Remy and Tiana's restaurants together to create like a food court situation. I under estimated the side of Tiana's building lol Now I have to revamp so much to create my food court. I didn't know about the chest thingy, reset room thingy. The heroic pose has me thinking of Grey's Anatomy lol Did you notice that if you put cooking fires around your valley, Tiana will stop and cook?
Why not use right joystick click like literally every other game. Then we could control the camera while sprinting and control our direction. I only played for a few hours too and feel like I have carpal tunnel from the awkward way I had to hold the controller.
Same. It is way more uncomfortable now. If they actually wanted to make it better they should have made it toggle on/off instead of hold down and keep it on b. It would have made it way better. And I'm so sad they messed it up and made it more hand crampy now. 😢 I had been so happy with the changes to fishing and bending for accessibility. Just to have a new way to totally mess up my hand.
@@ShellytheCollector It took me a bit to get used to but after a day or two I'm already muscle memory used to the new button for sprint. But I'm curious, how did you hold you controller before? No offense but the sort of "default" way to hold a controller (at least for me on Xbox), is thumbs on each analog stick and pointer fingers on the 2 triggers in the back, with the inside of the highest bend in your finger on the trigger. So it's just a super slight like centimeter change of where my pointer finger goes to sprint now. I read the patch notes and it's to help you move the camera with your right thumb like usual since before you'd move it to B to sprint (which honestly wasn't really necessary as the camera kinda followed you anyway so you didn’t need to manually control it when sprinting, but either way).
@@jacobf2833 I'm on PS4 and the most comfortable default hand position for me is thumbs on the joystick and pointers in between the triggers (I only use my pointers to press the triggers) since otherwise I'm liable to push it accidentally in rpgs. The problem is when sprinting I push against the edge of the joystick and have to contort my hand to hit both the joystick and the upper trigger. As I've said, a joystick click like most rpg and action games use would be the best of both worlds. Or just let us use controller mapping.
The thing I'm most happy about I think is they finally did right by Belle. No more square shoulders or talons for fingers lol. Also they made fishing and time bending easier.
Love this about storing the chests in furniture mode so if anyone wants to move it from a different room in the house a person doesn’t have to manually move items out and then replace everything!! Awesome. Good idea to only do one or two at a time though.
Holding down button instead of pushing it so many times is a real game changer. I have tendinitis in my shoulder from gaming, so this will help a lot and it’s also so much better for my controller. Thank you gameloft, I’m so happy about this🥰🥰🥰
I don't know if you know this but with tianas Palace on the outside where you have on the side of the building I'm not sure what you call it but it's got a tiny roof and you can put benches and seats under it
Personally, I just extremely hope that we're not just going to be getting clothing and furniture items for Snow White. It has me worried that with by chance of getting the Evil Queen's outfit and all the backlash from the trailer for the live-action version of Snow White that Snow White might not come to DDV. I will be extremely sad and upset if that's the case, because I extremely want Snow White to come to DDV. Mainly because Snow White was my beloved grandma's favorite, so for me it would be like having my grandma with me as I play my favorite game.
If they actually rellease that disrespecttful train wreck of a movie, I won't have to worry about Dreamlight anymore. My family will totally walk away from everything Disney if they tarnish Walt's memory like that. They don't deserve my noney or loyalty if they proceed to destroy the classics, especially the foundational film for the entire conpany and what has become a legitimate American treasure. We will buy the old films on physical media and wave goodbye.
The sprint button change legitimately makes me want to play the game less. I hope they make this button change optional ASAP because this is an uncomfortable motion to maintain with my left hand as I run around the valley.
Ohhh I thought my sprint button was broken. I was pressing the old button. But the new layout is better because you can now change the direction of the camera while sprinting
they just need to make the changes toggles in settings. i hated the change to furniture mode, but i personally love the change to sprint (at least on ps5). its sm easier to move the camera around while you’re sprinting now
That skip results screen on cooking is the greatest QoL feature I wanted it so bad! and yay I can do more timebending with the hold button as it means It won't send my hands into spasm anymore
You can now organize your clothing and furniture in alphabetical order or new/old first. You can call villagers to the premium shop Coco"s stage showstopper but Ursula's stage also works!
In his level 4 quest, Jafar introduces Alchemy, where we use a cooking station to combine various potions available in his Laboratory into key items to complete the quest. My question is, will this be a new game activity/mechanic going forward or was this just a one-off?
The chest keeping items is amazing. Sorry about your storage Serroh, having three floors dedicated to storage personally, I feel that pain. I was really hoping the item to bring over villagers was more like a beacon: something you could place and interact with to call someone over, or something like that. I'm glad we have the stage, it's a start, but I wanted more as I don't really use the characters in my Dreamsnaps. Just to frustrating to get them to cooperate.
Very nice update for Belle! I wish they would update Mulan's eye tracking next. I couldn't figure out why her expressions felt wonky to me at first, but after watching her for a while, I realized she can't fully look to the side like the other characters can. It's like they couldn't get the 3d model to properly work with her narrow eyelid shape so they just said 'ehh good enough, she'll just always look forward'

Same here, my biome is completely messed! And the buttons for actions changed on Switch, so fixing everything lost in buttons and facing delay it's been such an stressful task.
With regards to the chest going into storage with items in I did this by accident you can still use the stuff inside mine was my box with eggs and milk and I was able to still cook recipes that included them.

You missed the new sort functions for furniture and wardrobe. The button prompt appears in the lower left and allows you to switch between oldest, newest, alphabetical, and reverse alphabetical.
Awesome video Serroh. I recognized the striped jacket as Burt's from Mary Poppins. Seeing that makes me hope we see either a penguin companion or Mary's dress in the game someday.
You used to be able to reset a room and put the chests that are full in your inventory already. You just had to do it by resizing the room. This sould store all your chests in your inventory. I have done it plenty of times. You do not lose anything from the chests. So there should be no worries from lost materials. However it is complicated because you have to figure out shat is in rach chest after putting them back down.
Take the fireflies outside and just move them around. When I realized I had them, I played with them for 15 minutes because they follow the plot they have around❤
I thought my sprint was broken at first but after I figured it out I prefer it. The old way was difficult for me to move my character with one joystick and try and use the other to change my camera angle while holding a button on the right side. Of course an easier solution would be hit the button once while moving and you sprint as long as you keep moving. Now if they would only decrease the crashes with each update instead of making them worse. Also I’d like them to make it so I can move the treehouse because it’s weird where it is now having to build around it. Also the non goofy stalls and shop building I wanna be able to be between valley and expansions so I can make more room in my valley.

I wish the devs didn’t choose the L button on the switch. It’s honestly an uncomfortable hand position, and not just because it will take some getting used to. Changing the sprinting button isn't a big deal for me as I adapt to things pretty easy but if you don't then I imagine its a frustrating headache for others out there and over time it will get easier but until then I wish I could send you some patience ALSO.....I really wish we could get stuff from the first Halloween and Christmas star paths, tree webs and floating candles, Christmas town decorations and while they are at it give us the Pixar stuff too! 🤞🏼

An update that was missed was the search bar!!! You can now search in the wardrobe and furniture mode. Also, you can sort your items from newest to old by pressing R on the keyboard.
Thanks I am going to remap the sprint button as I mostly play on steamdeck. It was fine how it was before but very uncomfortable since the change. I like the other updates
I'm not sure if it's a glitch but yesterday and today I have been able to do Daisy challenge two times each day I had to wait I think it was like 4 hours in between challenges if I'm not mistaken

I LOVE that we can pick up chests full of items!! It will make it so much easier when I decide to move my storage to different rooms or redecorate it!

That storage chest update is great! Now I can easily move them into new storage room without having to rmeove all the stuff and add again.

They say they're adding solutions for space, and then make the footprints for items bigger. Cuz THAT makes sense...

Changing the sprinting button isn't a big deal for me as I adapt to things pretty easy but if you don't then I imagine its a frustrating headache for others out there and over time it will get easier but until then I wish I could send you some patience
ALSO.....I really wish we could get stuff from the first Halloween and Christmas star paths, tree webs and floating candles, Christmas town decorations and while they are at it give us the Pixar stuff too! 🤞🏼

An update that was missed was the search bar!!! You can now search in the wardrobe and furniture mode. Also, you can sort your items from newest to old by pressing R on the keyboard.

I'm not sure if it's a glitch but yesterday and today I have been able to do Daisy challenge two times each day I had to wait I think it was like 4 hours in between challenges if I'm not mistaken
The controls took me a minute to figure out on Switch 😂 Doesn't help I've been playing Sprout Valley lately so my button memory was a bit off on top of it.
