Thank you brother Jesse, you help keep me straight brother. I watched a video from the rightly divider with Robert Holler. Brother, he scared me, told me I was doomed for believing John 3:16 and those who say they are born again Christians are believing a lie and can't be saved. Also according to him there are no Christians today. He's a scary man. Good thing I believe in the finished work Jesus Christ did on the cross, by grace through faith
I greatly appreciate your channel, pastor Jesse. Two of my boys are youth pastors, one is also our worship pastor. Recently my daughter and son in law left here and moved to Panama City Beach to plant a grace based bible church. We just spent a week down there with them. I would love to connect sometime if your open to a chat. Blessings, Dr. Sean
9:00 it’s interesting that you said about our new nature that is born of God. And that we should walk in it. It is a safe way in deed. Although apparently, our nature that has been paid for is the purpose- Word became flesh, meaning deification of the Nature paid for. And during my born again experience I remember the New nature sending Light into the redeemed nature, my soul reviving it and my body. It was something, guys( before I backslid). My soul was pumping light like a Dynamo Machine. I mean, the new nature is all light, but flesh and body being deified it is like whole another level, the amount of light multiplying and animating everything around! Glory entering the brain and they together creating and filling the space with like New Oxigen, new substance, literally giving physical objects around gravitas, making them like fresh, “breathing” so to speak. Like a sea snail creates shell around it, I felt like I would creat a whole new planet around myself and it would displace the old one. So this flesh is very important. In the book of Job 19:27, Job says: “ I myself will see him with my own eyes-I, and not another”. So, when we say, we will be given the new bodies, I am sure those will be these our very bodies resurrected sanctified and deified.
GOD'S Chastening hand is not a very good place to be in your sanctification process. Its very painful to be not in fellowship with GOD. And very lonely. It never ends well when we live in sin ( unforgiveness, bitterness, anger, fear, etc...) I experienced these things and let me tell you you will be in more torment by not forgiving someone who wronged you Please forgive them Don't do what I did it almost cost me my life 😢 Thank You GOD for being so Faithful and Good to me . When I didn't deserve it . GOD still corrected the problem But it was very painful. BUT I know why and i Thank Him that He did to correct me out of His Love for me.
You’re never out of fellowship with God. That is a lie. The Holy Spirit lives WITHIN YOU. How can you be out of fellowship with him? He is the comforter. Not the condemner.
Im having a hard time seeing this as osas. If it says he will accept us if we turn down unclean things, wouldnt that mean we wouldnt be accepted if not?
Are we responsible for others feeling or expectations If we say No to them? Or should we need to guilty about others feeling or expectations? Pastor. Relationship question 😊
You are not responsible for their feelings or expectations if you say no. The only reason you should be feeling guilty is if you sin toward someone. You could be very angry, demeaning or corrupt in the way you go about it. Otherwise, no, don’t feel guilty. People react completely of their own accord. - Trent
I'm so confused by "eternal life secured" statement and how its spoken of by Jesse. Does this mean, you are promised eternal life...but only 1 way (into heaven) or 1 of 2 ways (Heaven or Hell)? Because both are for eternity and clearly you are alive for either one. So what's the context here for "god has secured you eternal life?" I could use some clarity because its leaving a "fill in the blank" for me.
God secures you the moment you believe. Everyone is already condemned to hell (John 3:18, Romans 5), but they have the opportunity to believe. Once you believe in Christ, you receive eternal life, and that life remains in you forever. You are born again, and you are sealed with the Spirit. See Eph. 1:12-14. - Trent
Love though is not withholding the truth or pulling some emotional heart string. Standing firm in the faith will sometimes, even many times lead us to correct or even away from others who live an unruly life. Hopefully they were saved by faith at best. All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. That being said I have a question: How can someone say they’re a believer when they constantly question God’s Word regarding it’s authenticity, integrity and completeness all the while still rebelling against God by following for instance doctrines of the world like homosexuality and empty philosophies? Love means to speak the truth with love. Hate is to withhold it from a brother. I love my brothers and sisters in Christ, as well as my neighbors even if I don’t always like all. Yet God Father, Son and Holy Spirit is still first. For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching is light; And reproofs for discipline are the way of life - Proverbs 6:23
There's a difference between descriptive scripture and prescriptive scripture. The Corinthian letters show that there are carnal Christians and many of them will lose out on extra rewards at the Bema Seat of our Lord Jesus Christ. However, just because we know that doesn't mean we should have a "meh, what the heck" attitude. A lot of ministries focus on taking the calvinist heresy apart and rightfully so. It's disgusting and wrong. However, licentiousness is as dangerous. Many Christians today are going from one of those camps to the other and back (legalistic or licentious). Paul sharply rebuked the carnal Christians in Corinth for their actions were leading to divine discipline even to the form of physical death. Titus, Peter and Jude warn of licentiousness. But hey, my culture is ooookay, right? Grow comes by the Word of God richly dwelling in us. Growth so that we may become one in Spirit so that Christ's body grows. Just look at the immorality, false boasting and nonsense going on in the Pentecostal churches and their own made up rules of tongues. Even water baptism to be saved. There is no such thing as what they believe to be tongues nor is their anything that one must do than believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. No one can force you to believe that salvation comes from faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ alone, that He died for all our sins, was buried and rose again three days later glorified and ascended into heaven where He now serves us who have believed and received as worthy High Priest, purifying for Himself a people for good works which He has prepared for beforehand to His glory and His glory alone. Get on the winning side of eternity by putting your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for justification. He said:"It is finished.". And once you have done so, welcome to the family of God, heaven rejoices. And now as new born babe grow by the same mechanism which is faith alone in Jesus Christ alone who is the Word of God. God wants a personal relationship with each and everyone one of us. The Holy Spirit was given at the point of faith to help us and show us all things according to His Perfect and Holy Word.
Well I agree with just about everything you said. The answer to your question is simple. If they believed the gospel at some point in time, but they still have questions; they are still saved. We can’t see faith. Nevertheless, a believer could live in such a way that ruins their testimony. We do preach hard against Calvinism, but please not that we preach hard on sin also. Check out streams regarding James 2, Abide In Me, etc… Discipleship and Christian service is of utmost importance for the believer. We are to model ourselves after Christ since He saved us. Solid points in your comments though. Thanks! - Trent
@@BibleLine Thank you for your reply Trent ☺️ The thing with licentiousness is that their immoral behavior is encouraging others to do the same. Evangelical feminism, churches being hookup places, over emotional(ism). “I cried” therefore I’ve grown. Seeking pastors who please their emotional “needs”. The country I reside in has a rampant Pentecostal church problem. When “they” hear the word straightly preached they even act just like the Corinthians “I am of Apollos, I am of Paul”, “wow how do you that, man!?”. Many though, especially the women but not only, outright attack sound doctrine, because they have always allegorized and spiritualized God’s Word so they may boast in themselves acting like some kind of super apostles. Exactly the opposite reaction to why the letters to the Corinthians were written! Where I live this nonsense is widespread and has taken over. The small remnant is left outside, yet the Lord takes good care of His flock with His Word, blessed be His Holy Name, thank You and glory to You Lord Jesus! 🙌🏼 May He come soon! God bless you brother Trent ❤️
Hey guys, this passage threw me into confusion which doesn't happen often these days. It's interesting because it was just the other day I noticed what it read. “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” When we look at John 3:6, we see that the new nature is "spirit" and it's the new nature that does not and cannot sin. I know the word spirit in English has more than one meaning, though. So how does the spirit have filthiness (sin)?
