Hi folks! Apologies for the slow reply. I've been away this week. It is a lovely little site, and only about 10 miles from where we live! I think the bikes have actually helped make that track so muddy, but it must be interesting trying to stay upright on a bike! It was bad enough walking😂

Love the horses. What a great little weekend get away; even though it was cold. Bathrooms were nice. Great little walk to the pub. WOW! The fish and chips look so good. Frozen mud is a plus in the winter with the added bonus of less people about to share the countryside with. The weather was kind to you both, that glorious clear sky.

Hi Chris. A bit of crisp couple of days, but enjoyable! Quite a few of your Ethels within easy reach from there 😁 I take it you've done Ladder Hill by now? I'm never sure how to reach the actual summit as it seems to be on private land.
@Des Greene Ladder Hill isn't on the Ethel List. Does it have a Trig Des, or did the TV mask destroy it like on Croker Hill? If it has a Trig Point then I'll be back on the 88 Trig Point Challenge.
@@chrisbentleywalkingandrambling Ah...it was on the original list, but there were a lot of complaints about some of the Ethels being unreachable legally. So must have been removed.
Hello dear Maria and Des! Oh, the snow!! Here in Italy, incredibly it's snowing much more in the center and even in the south than in the north! Here in Milan, for example, not even a snowflake.... The campsite looks very nice and your walk in the snow must have been very beautiful, enjoying such an enchanting panorama made even more fascinating by the winter atmosphere. Hello Renata! That is very strange! You would expect northern Italy to be getting the snow! We have had very little here, so it made a nice change. Cheers Steve👍 Moonshine is one of my favourites too. They have some good beers in The Beehive. Usually at least one from Thornbridge as well, but they are a bit on the strong side!

Thanks Antony! I'm not sure about the Hanging Gate up the road, but the Beehive is definitely dog friendly. They usually ask if you have a dog when you phone to book a table (recommend phoning as they do get busy).
