Hi Rob and Gail, Just got back from a weekend break in Bridlington at the CAMC, having seen your vlog we did the walk to Flamborough we saw the bunker but did not go in, The South landing with the drinking dinosaur was great but not as good as the seals on the beach amazing. We did stop on route and had coffee and biscuits. Keep the vlogs coming please. Thanks Paul and Joanne.
Hi Paul & Joanne, It’s good to know you had a great weekend away at Bridlington CAMC and that our video inspired you to take the cliff top walk into Flamborough 👍. We’ve just searched the internet for the drinking dinosaur as we didn’t realise it’s the name of the rock formation, very fitting too, now we know 😀 . It’s worth the walk to see the seals 🦭,it made our day when we saw them. Oh, and cheers with the obligatory drink and biscuits 👍 . Best regards, Rob & Gail
It's a great site in a fantastic location & it's always busy, you have to book well in advance to get on but i's well worth it, Chatsworth House is our local favourite place to visit, Can't remember last time I was in Eyam - used to frequent the Miners arms in my younger days - Another great video Rob & Gail
Hi Andrew & Karen, The club have a real gem of a site 👍 being situated on the estate itself and so very close to the house. No wonder it’s always busy. The clip of the Miners Arms must have brought some memories flooding back for you. We’re pleased you liked our video. All the best 😀, Rob & Gail
Hello Clare & Steve, Great to hear from you and we must say it was nice to be recognised 👍. Hope you enjoyed your holiday as much as we did 😀 . All the best to you both, Rob & Gail
Good tip there Malcolm 👍 . We had a pigeon nesting in the ivy clad tree above us. I actually did a video clip of the roof showing the HUGE amount of pigeon droppings but decided to leave it out. That sounded like acorns dropping all night too ☹️ . Apart from that we enjoyed the site very much. All the best, Rob & Gail 😀
Brilliant video,This was very interesting and now, through your inspiration, me and my family are going to try come there. Thinking of coming at Christmas. Good thinking Rob.
Thank you very much David, that is really good to hear 👍. A Christmas visit to Chatsworth sounds wonderful and you must see the house with all the decorations. Even the farmyard gets trimmed up and there is a different theme every year. Make sure you book early as this site is hugely popular. all the best, Rob & Gail 😀
Extremely popular site with a good feel about it 👍. We enjoyed a very nice holiday there, maybe one to put on your list Phil but you do have to book early. Thanks for tuning in and all the best 😀, Rob & Gail
Have to agree, it’s a hugely popular site 👍 . We booked well in advance as in the past have found all the super pitches booked up. Many thanks for your kind compliment and pleased you enjoyed our video. All the very best, Rob & Gail 😀
Thanks very much Andrew 👍. So much to see and do in the area we never got round to doing any of the walks. Everywhere looked beautiful in the February sunshine so yes a bonus. All the best 😀 Rob & Gail
Hi Rob & Gail, enjoyed a look around Chatsworth CAMC site. We’re booked in there mid July and other than a school trip when I was a kid never been to Chatsworth. Eyam is an interesting visit too and only a few miles from my home town of Chesterfield. Thanks for sharing. ATB, Dave & Helen 👍
Hi Dave & Helen, Pleased you enjoyed the pre visit tour 👍 . It will be lovely at Chatsworth mid July 🌞 and just before school summer break up. Lots of nice strolls for Bella too . Yes Chatsworth is just a 20 minute drive from Chesterfield town center and most convenient for exploring the beautiful Peak District National Park. We hope you have a great time and good weather ! All the best Rob & Gail😁
Thank you Stephen. We’re pleased you enjoyed our video and history lesson 👍 ! It’s a lovely site and there’s lots to see and do in the area so fully understand why you have revisited the area on several occasions. Cheers 😀 Rob & Gail
Hi there Maria and thank you for the compliment 👍. Bear in mind it’s a very popular site and is always busy especially at weekends, but do hope you get the chance to visit. We always enjoy our caravan food it seems to taste nicer somehow 😀. Kind regards, Rob & Gail
Thank you very much Lynette, had we been quick enough we would have captured it above our heads. Very noisy and very low ! Great holiday. All the best, Rob & Gail 😀
Hello there, If joining the happy world of caravanning has ever crossed your mind then all we can say is go for it ! We’ve had our two berth caravan for 10 years now and never looked back. We enjoy rainy days in, cosy winter caravanning and most of all the freedom of the open road. Thank you very much for tuning in. All the best, Rob & Gail 😀
Hello Fletch & Helen, We’re really pleased you liked our video 👍 . Keep looking out for us and maybe one day we’ll meet. Many thanks for tuning in again and very best regards, Rob & Gail 😀
Thank you for your kind comments Iain 👍 . Although we are familiar with the area we still had to do a bit of research 🧑🏻💻 to fine tune our knowledge. We enjoyed making this video and the beautiful February sunshine was a wonderful bonus. Best regards, Rob & Gail 😀
Hi Rob and Gail,. Very interesting that good as you took us around the area to see all those sites I think most people just wander over to the house and miss all that , good history tour 👌 Ps go steady on the salad lol Great film regards Glyn and Carol
Hello Glyn & Carol, Pleased you enjoyed our history lesson and tour of the area 👍 . The house is probably the main attraction for visiting the site but there is so much more to see and do in the surrounding area. Oh yes 😋 we do like a healthy serving of salad, it helps to balance out our unhealthy bowl of crisps. Many thanks for tuning in, Rob & Gail
What a coincidence Graham, was the pigeon nesting in the ivy clad tree above pitch 8 by any chance ? Took me ages to clean the darned roof ! Glad you enjoyed our video 👍 . Many thanks for your kind comment and all the best, Rob & Gail 😀
Thank you very much Michael, Very convenient is Chatsworth being a mere 20 minutes drive from Chesterfield (with its famous crooked spire of course) 👍. We enjoyed our stay there very much 😀 . Cheers Rob & Gail
We’ve just had a lovely three nights at Chatsworth using our free night and some gift vouchers 😊 Didn’t manage the walk to Baslow as it was just too boggy and wet but had a lovely walk to Edensor and up and over to Carlton Lees then back to the site along the river. Look forward to seeing your travels this year and getting more ideas 😊
That is so good to hear Chris and a bargain holiday too. We have just returned from a site on the Derbyshire/ Staffordshire border and we too found the rivers swollen and the area boggy. Still had a good time though. Video coming soon 😀. Thanks for watching and all the best, Rob & Gail 👍
Hi Paul, Thank you very much for watching and commenting. We are happy to know you enjoyed our tour 👍 . It really is a beautiful area to explore. 😀 Cheers, Rob & Gail
We’re pleased you found it interesting Justin 👍 . It was an enjoyable first trip away and a great area to explore. We also dropped lucky with the weather too. Can’t wait for our next holiday in March. Thanks for tuning in and all the best, Rob & Gail 😀
Glad you enjoyed the video. We visited the restaurant years ago 👍, but we actually enjoy our evening meal in the caravan. Thanks very much for watching and commenting, Kind Regards, Rob & Gail 😀
Hi Rob and Gail. Another great vlog, in-depth knowledge and wonderful to see the surrounding area's. The site does look compact but lovely have never been but from your review it is tempting for us. Looks like I might have to extend my waste pipe just like yours as my waste already is from a previous vlog of yours. Thanks again for your reviews. Paul and Joanne 👍
Hello Paul & Joanne, The site has a nice feeling about it and knowing what lies beyond the former walled garden is special. We can certainly recommend it 👍 but yes you need to get your waste pipe extended ready for your future visit there ! Kind regards, Rob & Gail 😀
Hi Rob and Gail, an excellent informative video again and great camera work by Gail. We have been there a couple of times and really enjoyed it, it's great having direct access to the grounds. It does seem to be getting very expensive though compared to private sites such as Lickpenny which we have also been to and I know you did a very good video about as well. Keep up the good work. Steve
Great comment Steve, Gail is beaming 👍 ! It is a lovely relaxing place to stay and as you say it couldn’t be a more perfect location for Chatsworth House. Have to agree the club is quite pricey, but sometimes the location of their sites is a must. Oh, Lickpenny is fantastic isn’t it. Glad you watched our video and visited. All the best 😀 Rob & Gail
Many thanks Brett 👍 . Chatsworth and the surrounding area is so interesting with much history, we could have gone on and on. There is certainly more to do at the Chatsworth site than just the house. Not long before we’re away again 😀 . All the best, Rob & Gail
Hello John, May is a great time of year to choose for your return visit to Chatsworth 👍 . We are pleased our video has given you some new ideas to explore. Hope you have a great time. Cheers 😀 Rob & Gail
Great video, we were at Chatsworth in July but became of the heatwave. We missed a lot of the attractions and walks, and we're going back in May. So looking forward to it.
Hello Glen, we were away too during the heatwave last summer at Sutton on Sea club site and just had to sit tight. Go to hear you’ve re-booked Chatsworth for May to continue where you left off 👍. We hope you have a happy time exploring. Let us know how you get on. Best regards, Rob & Gail 😀
Thoroughly enjoyable video Rob. From your comments, I believe this was your first visit to Chatsworth CAMH club Site. You certainly did your homework regarding the estate attractions and also the immediate surrounding area. Really interesting and informative. Good to see your grey waste pipes in action following your earlier videos. Thanks, Ken
Glad you enjoyed our video. Actually Kenneth we spent three days there back in 2014. We arrived on the day of the Duchess’s funeral so great activity up at the house as you can image. We thought we’d better brush up on the history for this area as we didn’t want to let ourselves down 🙂 . Pleased I was able to use my new extension pipe set up, it gave me a chance to show it off. I’m thinking of making a few changes so there may be another short video coming soon. All the very best, Rob & Gail 😀
Do you know Paul, it completely slipped my mind 🫢, so thank you for asking 👍. TV reception was absolutely fine, even without the tv hook up cable. Cheers, Rob & Gail
Great vlog Rob ( as usual!) and showed a lot we hadn’t seen even though we’ve been to the area several times as it’s not far away. My wife liked the look of your salmon meal and wants to know where you got the silicon container you cooked it in Great to see you out n about again - spring is almost with us Kind regards to you both Howard & Sandra x
Many thanks (as usual) 😁 Howard & Sandra for watching and for your kind comments. It’s good to know we’ve enlightened you on the area 👍. After a search on the internet we can’t find a silicone papillote like ours in the uk. We purchased ours from Lakeland a few years ago, but they currently have on sale a Lekue microwave red silicone omelette maker for £15.99 which looks perfect for the job. Alternatively you could try microwaving the salmon between two plates. It was good to be back out in the caravan and we’re looking forward to more trips. Watch this space ! All the very best 😀, Rob & Gail
Hello Ian, Just looked on the site map to see you were pitched next door but one to us. Lovely site isn’t it 👍. It was half term outside Derbyshire and the site was full all the time, literally one out one in ! Hope you had a nice holiday. Kind Regards 😀 Rob & Gail
Hi Rob and Gail, thank you for a really informative video it’s been really useful, we’ve just booked for next year. I noticed you put up a caption saying the mobile signal was good, could I ask what network that was on? Regards, Rob and Amanda

Chatsworth is a great site. Top tip don't pitch under the Oak trees in the autumn as the acorns cascade on your caravan all night long! 😉
Good tip there Malcolm 👍 . We had a pigeon nesting in the ivy clad tree above us. I actually did a video clip of the roof showing the HUGE amount of pigeon droppings but decided to leave it out.
