I remember going to the circus when I was really young. They held right across from the San Jose Diridon Station. Sad that it will escape into history without even making it out to the Bay Area for one last run.
I went to the circus too when I was young. A memory of it that still stays with me today was when I saw countless clowns getting out of a Volkswagon Beetle.
At the beginning, I wondered how the train could possibly require two of the most powerful locomotive in the US, the ACS-64. But, wow! I counted approximately 36 coaches and 24 freight cars. 12,800 hp should do.
it's closer to 17,200hp total because the "64" in the name refers to 6,400kW, or about 8,600hp. Definitely one of the highest-powered freight consists in the US.
nice video. I wish I would have known it was going down the NEC I would have gone to 30th street or cornwells heights to film it. oh well guess I have to watch for the James e strates train.
I can't believe that I missed them but yet, they couldn't wait until evening dinner hours!!! This is my 3rd or maybe 2nd fuckin that I missed them!! Soon as I clock out from my work yesterday at 5 o'clock pm, 5 minutes later, my friend and I got so pissed off on my home from work!!
Railer, I have a question for you and it's since the elephants went to Florida, what kind of animals do the animal cars carry since the Elephants left the show up until Ringling's final days?
Won't it have to go back to Florida to be auctioned? In other words will there be a chance to see the consist again on the NEC, even if it isn't a circus train anymore?
almost. the ACS-64 doesn't have much tractive effort, so it was quite a struggle. IMO if amtrak kept a few E60s for work trains and the like, they'd be better off for moves like this.
Then the LIRR used those old, dirty switchers to pull it to the barn. Why couldn't they at least give it the dignity of DE/DM30AC power? Fucking A, the barn saw the end of two eras on Long Island, the Islanders and the circus.
The amtrak engineer must've been surprised when he was told he would be pulling the final Ringling Bros. circus train that day.
The fact that they only used two ACS’ Is insane
(I’m trying to say they are nuts on power)
An Amtrak freight train! How fascinating.
It's also been a while since the NEC had electric freight trains
What a sight! Even though this is the last year for the circus trains, it has quite eventful for them!
How I envy you for being on the east coast! The circus train didn't even get out to Colorado this year, and now it never will again.
Unfortunate =/ I'm surprised they didn't just stick the year out.
awesome catch! sad it isn’t running anymore.

The end of an era. :(
Fitting that the Veteran's unit was leading.

Oh my gosh! I've never seen a circus consist this huge before in my life! :O
Amtrak it self is a circus
And why is that, talking uk flag 💀
I saw it going into Newport News waiting for the Amtrak.

Nagyon jó videó Gratulálok! Magyarországról.
Christ look at the speed on that. Didn't even know they make 'em that quick.
But to be serious, pretty nice sound those ACS-64s make.
phillyslasher that’s how the circus gets to Madison square garden in NYC
Now imagine standing on a crossing and this goes past
It’s like a freight train
RIP Ringling Bros
Yeah. Thanks a lot, PETA.
Cool! i like how when you see it, it just gives you a free vets

its sad to see there's no more Ringling Bros trains, :( but there is a few Ringling Bros cars at the Upton and Grafton yard in Grafton!
OH I totally forgotten about this welp
The end of a long era...
Railer, I have a question for you and it's since the elephants went to Florida, what kind of animals do the animal cars carry since the Elephants left the show up until Ringling's final days?
I saw it in Burlington NC on the Norfolk Southern I was on Webb ave which parallels the track , that was right near the end , sort of sad
Most awesome vid!!!!!
RIP :(

Good bye ringling brothers
Hope PeTA's happy now.
Christopher Howell yep
Was the load too heavy for the acs-64? For a second I thought the other ACS-64 was 601. Which would be impossible.
The ACS-64 has over 8,000 horsepower

Looooooove your video..
that jumpscare acela tho
Edit: 3:59
Awesome!
A big *Oo0Oo0Oo0f* to the train plulling it.
With Amtrak 642 Veterans Unit Leading
Pulled by two new Siemens Chargers
They're ACS-64's
The ONLY circus train elephants want to see.... THE LAST ONE!
By the way, one more last one on the west Trenton line.
I subbed to u
That looks like it’s pulling 100 cars!!!!!!!
why does the circus train have to go so slow?
It’s hauling a bunch of coaches, and it isnt a freight train lol
The crew was having difficulties keeping adhesion due to lack of tractive effort
Maybe they should have added more ACS-64’s to the Bailey circus train.
Lol the acela at the end
We solute you! *sniffle* *sniffle*
I hear a flat wheel on that last car.
Why is it the last
Because this is the last train they're going to run. Hence, the name, last train.
Then the LIRR used those old, dirty switchers to pull it to the barn. Why couldn't they at least give it the dignity of DE/DM30AC power?
Fucking A, the barn saw the end of two eras on Long Island, the Islanders and the circus.
What am I looking at-
Bro WTF 😭 The train measures more than a B777X, shame
Jesus Christ. 60 cars?
Or maybe, it is pulling 100 cars!!!!!!!!!
