Hi Catherine. I'm a floristry student and just so you know putting sugar in the water of flowers does nothing but introduce bacteria to the water and makes your flowers actually die quicker! Another tip for you is that you should cut the stems of flower every couple of days to preserve their freshness. That is especially true for tulips because they're one of the few flowers that continue to grow after they've been cut!
@@catherinekayy fresh cut flowers can last up to a month in a vase if the water is kept clean and bacteria free and if the flowers receive a small snip to the stem every couple of days. If your goal is to keep flowers around as long as possible definitely keep the sugar away!
@@catherinekayy thank you very much. Yes I am doing much better, it's honestly one of the best things to happen to me because there is no way I could have lost all that weight on my own. I mean I wouldn't have had a lot of that weight if it wasn't for the heart failure but I also wasn't taking care of my self at all. I'm still working on the weight on my own now (I lost the 180 lbs while in hospital for 4 months) which is still a struggle tbh but I'm trying to be kinder to myself and work on mental health and happiness as well. Hopefully it all goes hand in hand and one affects/helps the other. I have a friend who had weight loss surgery just under a year ago and I believe she's lost about 100lbs. Best of luck to you!
I would of been a fourth generation florist, you are absolutely right, sugar water doubles the life of cut flowers in a vase! It also helps them open sooner too! Good luck on this journey of yours! This inspires me to look in to surgery as I thought it would be to much for me. But you have show exactly what is involved. Hope all your hopes and dreams come true and thanks for your honesty 🙏 😊

As someone who had their adenoids out as well as a turbinate reduction in 2020, DO IT. I didn't even realise that normal people could breathe this well. 🥲 Makes me emotional realising I could have been living life better if I had of known and had the surgery sooner.
@@EmmaFoxArt Good to know, thank you! I have a severely deviated and dislocated septum and the surgery is LONG overdue (I'm in my 40's) but I've been worried about Empty Nose Syndrome, which can affect folks indefinitely after surgery. Thanks for sharing your journey, glad to see this has gone reasonably smooth for you! I love the new hair colour, you're looking really lovely. Hope all the healing is going well!
Your natural lip shape is so pretty, seeing you without makeup here. Would love to see you try doing your lipstick following your natural shape for a while, I think it'll look lovely.
Hi, me again! You got your surgery done for the same two reasons I have. To be healthy, and I want to be a mommy. I lost babies, I tried and tried over again and all the tests were negative after a while, aweful wonky period cycle. I could have it for 2 weeks and not see it again for 3 months, and then I will bleed for a day and not get my period for 2 years. Good luck to you and your journey. I had the blood thinners after my bypass too. I also had them after I had my son. I really didn’t like the purée food stage. I felt sick most of the time. It totally put me off food. It was much better for me when I could start to eat food that I needed to chew. I can eat most things now (3years out in May) but I just can’t eat very much of it. There are some foods and drinks that I just don’t like anymore- squash drinks taste far too sweet now, even sugar free versions are not nice to me. If you loose all the weight and become your goal weight, you will never be able to eat normally? You’ll always not be able to eat a lot? Hello Tammy! I've never personally known someone who had the surgery but I have always wondered, the lifestyle changes that you have to make post-op would work for weight loss whether or not the operation would have taken place or not.
