I only pop in and out of your videos for some reason, but watched the triumph one yesterday and thought I was watching the wrong video as you look so amazing and very pretty, blimmin wish I was a hundred years younger I would be giving you boyfriend a bit of competition lol. The people who left such comments were unaware of the fact that their comments reflected more about themselves than you.

@@idriveaclassic I know it's easy for us to say - we're not the ones they were directed at and would feel exactly the same on the receiving end - but rhe following has to be said to reinforce the fact it's not ok or clever to behave like this.
- They're the ones that end up looking like complete knobs and not you. Most IDAC viewers are here because they like you and your content
- They're probably insecure and if their way of feeling better involves provoking a rise out of you then they need help
- I bet they couldn't do what you do, both in terms of the channel and surgery
- Why are they spending the limited time they have on this earth doing something so useless?

Hey Steph, I must be honest I never thought about your weight when watching the videos I just loved watching a young person talking about classic cars, also another thing that drew me to your channel is your look, very retro!
It must have been hard for you reading disgusting comments, and I always feel those people have more issues going on with themselves which might be a tool to use in the future if you get a crappie comment. All I can say is you're an amazing person and speaking for myself, it warms my heart when I see your passion for old classics and if you could bottle your passion you would be rich beyond belief. For someone who struggled with self esteem issues , this level of honesty is beyond brave .
As a subscriber to your channel, you always come across as a confident and intelligent person which of course you are. You never revealed your struggles through your vids although we have obviously been aware of your weight loss journey recently. What an incredible journey. Despite the struggles, ultimately a positive outcome for you. Very brave to to this honest on video which I believe is totally honourable as it helps others. I know my issues are nothing compered to yours but, as a disabled 40 year old male, I struggle with confidence and this video sort of highlights that for me. I had groin surgery in 1989 and on my legs in 1994 to help me walk. I understand the emotions that come with this and it feels dreadful that your thoughts are that people laugh and point or wispar, but you are what and who you are and no one can take that away. So thankyou for the video and it helped me ease my depression. Wish you luck and happy, SAFE driving.
You always looked amazing Steph, but it definitely feels better not to be carrying excess. If the last 12 months journey makes you a happier person then all of it was worth it. Congratulations on this post and on your very entertaining channel.

I would never think of commenting on anyone's personal appearance in a TH-cam video that was about something else, but I will say just this once that you look great in this one because you look happy. I can't tell you how sad it makes me to hear that you have had so many ugly, destructive comments to deal with - how you keep going in the face of that sort of thing is beyond me but it says a lot about you. I've been watching your videos almost from the start and it's the cars and your enthusiasm and humour and obvious 'goodness' that keeps me coming back. I hope the thousands of us who like you for all the right reasons keep you here doing what you, and we, love for a long time to come.
Isn't it sad you had to filter through all those abusive comments? Especially sad for the posters that is, in that they were so inadequate they had to spew their frustrated bile in your direction. You have done the right thing for you, your loved ones and your future - not them. Your former appearance was none of their business, nor indeed mine, which is why I would never have referenced it. You have advanced skills in the fields of car design and mechanics, film presenting and editing and - it transpires - dressmaking! I'd like to bet they do nothing other than just watch videos all day! Hi Steph. My name is Simon, I'm 64 and a total car and bike guy. I'm third generation motor trade and love anything car or bike related. Here's the point, my ex wife of twenty eight years always had "weight issues". She was six and a half stone when we met, and over the next twenty eight years she went up and down dramatically between six and a half and nearly twenty four stone. I never stopped loving her until we split up, and understand what you're saying, and what you've been, and still are going through. I'd love to give you a hug for support, and to say don't give up, and don't you dare let the haters hate. Keep up the extremely hard work, and carry on doing your videos. I'm shocked I hadn't subscribed, but have now, along with the Bell. When I first saw one of your videos a few years ago, I thought "good girl, good for you". Sorry for the ramble, but I wanted to be the voice of just one of the many, many supporters of you, your videos and most of all what you've done.

Hello Steph,that was a very brave step to have the surgery you had and endure the side effects of it,but it was equally brave to this video. I always found you very professional and knowledgeable person on your channel and respected you for it. As a person with my own problems I can well understand some of how you felt,it takes a very strong person to go through the last year and hope the new year brings you happiness and on to greater things and be true to yourself.
