    My honest review of the FYSETC i3 MK3S+ clone. I think in the end, I'll just be buying Prusa branded kits from here on.

      Are there any other brands that you would run aside from Prusa for FDM? I noticed in your intro the SLA printer is an Elegoo Mars. Does a CR10S (with some modding) stand a chance in this environment?

    Nice review. I've had their clone for about 2 years now, though I got it with the Bear frame as it was only slightly more expensive. Like you say I probably haven't used it as much as you, but I also probably would not get again.

    Great review. I found that my clone started to give off after a while. The LMU bearings are a pain too IMO, they give off pretty easily.

      Totally agree. My 6 clones are still going strong. I'm going to give them a year, and do a follow-up vid.

    Do you lubricate your extruder gears/wheels? I also have cheap ones, but they never produced dust.

      I tried the lube that comes with the mini, all it did was create a red paste over time. Keep in mind, I run mine for thousands of hours. Your average workload probably will be OK for a long while.

      Not yet, after a couple million print hours.

    I bought one of these. Total headache. After the fourth time a part failed mid extruder assembly I gave up on it, sold the metal frame on ebay, and been using the remaining parts to repair my other mk3s printers. If you buy an mk3s you don't have to print the parts, get nicer quality prefab parts (screws, ect), prusa product support, and a higher resale value. The resale value part is big for me I could see you selling a mk3s for $150 less than you bought it for but I would be surprised if you could sell a fystec for $150 less than you bought it for which (IMO) makes the cost savings of the fystec moot.

      I agree 100%. This same printer's power supply just gave up the magic blue smoke, and might have taken the Einsy board with it. With all of the replacement parts, I'm not sure I saved any money on these. I think, going forward, any expansions will be OEM kit builds only.

      Sold my Original Prusa Mk2s for 550 last year. They really do hold their resale value if you can wait for a buyer who knows what it is. I had sellers remorse instantly, and called up a buddy to see if he'd sell me his Mk2s. Drove 6 hrs the next day to get it lol..

      Yeppers! The hinge is a strand of 1.75mm filament, too. It can be downloaded at www.thingiverse.com/thing:3648840

    what would you say afther 1,5 years? Did they hold up?

    • @3DPrintedDebris
      @3DPrintedDebris  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Without question! My only complaint is that the bed wasn't coated on both sides, and shorted out the power supply over time. Some painter's tape solved that issue.
