Oh yeahhhhhhhh baby , you get problems even with the exspensive planes my umx a10 the reciver would unbind itself but luckily it happened while taxiing on floor but customer service was great I showed vid of it happening and sent replacement straight away, but so glad you got this flying great I shall be doing all checks on mine that you’ve pointed out should be here Monday or Tuesday can’t wait just hope weather in uk 🇬🇧 will play ball , salute guys, Gazza 🛩

This plane works well on 3S, hand launching is a breeze and it has an awesome presence in the air for such a small size.
But with the 4S it is just crazy, so crazy fast and the sound …..it’s a little screamer sucking that battery dry in a minute.

Robert and Captain Blaz another big salute from Connecticut USA. After watching your videos and spot on reviews of both the freezing F-9 Panther and the Lippisch P-15 I have enjoyed dozens of great flights with both of these awesome little jets. Your review of the Echine F-16 convinced me to ask my wife for on on my birthday. I have finished assembling the plane with only 1 small modification. As my old eyeballs make me nervous I have painted the wings and tail surfaces bright orange. I can't wait for some warmer weather (last Sunday it was snowing) and the maiden flight will take place.I'm also glad to see that with the addition of a new ESC 4S operation will be in my future. Hey guys, I have 2 of these Eachine F-16 and I bought them as kit version so I could use my own electronics. I have 12 blade fan with 40a esc.i also use either a 4s 1500 or the 4s 1800, all the way to the back with the 1800 the receiver in the front. I get about 2 1/2 min with the 1800. Unless I'm doing tricks I stay on low rates ail 70, ele 85, with 40 percent expo . This gives me a stable easy flight.

What a beast on 4s wow flies so good. I love YEP ESC'S but as you said you do need a programming card in my opinion they have a wider range of programming than most ESC'S the programming card just makes it so much easier 👍
4S is the way to go. And YEP ESCs are one of the best for us. They work perfect. But its good to have programing card.

Great that you got a couple of descent flights in after the previous ‘issues’. A comment (or two) on 3S vs 4S. Your raw RPM calculations are basically valid although you need to accept that battery voltage will drop pretty fast under load / over discharge time. Also remember that the Amps pulled will be (relatively) lower on 4S compared to 3S. Power (watts) = V x Amps… Same power on 4S is less Amps than 3S. So you do not necessarily need a higher Amp ESC to run 4S - just an ESC that is rated to 4S. Also … none of this stuff is completely predictable (and definitely not linear). I did some experimenters with a small pusher delta with onboard monitoring maybe 10 ears ago and moving it from 2S to 3S caused a massive increase in power (watt) requirements … probably the motor and prop combo did not like the higher voltage. Bench tests help but the bottom line is “don’t assume” that stuff behave predictably or in a ‘linear’ fashion.

Love it. Nice flying. Been looking at one. Suspect the original ESC has an issue..... it happens. Had a bad motor in my HH Twin Otter the caused a cartwheel on the maiden take off...it happens. Still fun.

Hello Robert and Blaz, subject to correction, but with a 4s battery less Amps are needed because you have more Volts. More Volts, less Amps (sort of). You have to check if ESC can take 14.4v against 11.1v. Regards.

be careful if you charge those lipos, when they get that low they can catch fire when you charge them. each cell should not go below 3v, charge them outside!

Add 1P to your 4S and the battery will run much cooler as the discharge rate will fall drastically. It will add some weight for sure. But your battery will last much much longer and flight time will increase big time. What is your P value on the 4S you used?
