Glad I wasn’t the only one to be like “wtf”. With that logic, Woodruff definitely should’ve taken one when he took Kershaw out during a relief appearance in the NLCS.
I remember having to watch this game in class during my pre cal class. I was sitting there mad as hell when the cubs lost but this was one hell of a game
Remember watching this class in my short calc lecture freshman year of college with my buddy from Chicago who was a huge cubs fan. Great game and a baseball memory I'll always have. Up there with cueto giving up a hr in the nl wild card after being taunted
As a lifelong Cubs fan this was a really rough end to an honestly fantastic season. 95 freaking wins - that’s enough to take the division 9 times outta 10 (at least in the NL...). Javy Baez nearly won MVP and Rizzo was on fire in the second half too. Bullpen and especially rotation were really locked in. The team didn’t collapse down the stretch either, played competitive ball the whole way... it just so happened the Brewers forgot how to lose over the final 2 weeks. This game was super tense and exciting and fun, but rewatching the meltdown in the 8th wasn’t fun. The Brewers’ offense completely outdid the Cubs’ overall. Then the same exact shit happened the next night against the Rockies, just more drawn out. Watching 2 opponents celebrating on Wrigley Field back-to-back nights brought on some heavy drinking. Truly a complete and total faceplant of an end to a really promising 2018 season. This was also the true beginning of the Brewers beginning to have the Cubs’ number, which is still the case now (despite our no-hitter against them last year)... so there’s that. I will say as a fan I’ve really been enjoying how much more intense the Cubs-Brewers rivalry has gotten though...
Didn't collapse? In the span of 4 days they went form the division lead to elimination from the postseason. They lost twice at home. That absolutely was a choke job.
@@chriskay1449 Yes. Those final 2 games were a choke job. There was no collapse in the regular season. 6-4 over the final 10 games is still winning baseball, the Brewers just went 9-1.

It truly was, even though I was rooting for the home team. I had a Brewer fan next to me, and, two rows ahead of me were four Brewer fans together. Everyone was cool. After the Rizzo home run, I made the mistake of reaching forward for a low five from one of the Brewer fans. He gave it to me. After each of the next two Brewer runs, he made it a point to turn around and ask for a low five, which I gave him, as I deserved it. It was all in good fun, and I congratulated the Milwaukee fans after the last out. But, it's not over yet. It's not over until WE say it's over. :) Oh, by the way, thanks for posting this video.
What was the percentage of Brewers fans to Cubs fans at this game? I’ve seen some comments that are saying the Brewers fans took over, but from what I can tell by these highlights, there were a lot of Brewers fans in attendance for sure (enough for a noticeable “Moose” chant by Mike Moustakis), but no where near take over level. Based on the highlights it sounds like it was at least 25% Brewers fans but no more than 40% Brewers fans.
So so happy the cubs lost!!!! I totally HATE the cubs. Genius Joe Maddon, u know the genius that invented baseball, totally despise him. Hope they lose for the rest of time
@Angel Josue 17 But the Cubs won. You could make that case with just about every manager who won a World Series ever - they’d have been blamed if they’d lost. Yes. That’s what losing tends to do. How exactly is that a meaningful argument?
Then you either don’t go to the games vs the Cubs or are completely wasted and delusional during the Cubs-Brewers games at Miller Park if you don’t realize how much Cubs fans take over Miller Park when they play the Brewers.

Wasn't the go ahead run, so no guarantees they win that game. Like Bart man didn't ruin the scrubs chance, easy double play boot cost em everything.

How bad is contreras that is batting next to pitcher
