This was a great, very helpful video. I unfortunately ripped the pigtail during a bulb change. Had to change the taillamp from a junkyard find. Thanks!
Viktor, thanks much for posting this, helped a ton. To me the toughest parts were to disconnect the larger connector (you have to understand it to apply, with a screwdriver, the right pressure in the right place while pulling the wire) and to tighten back the upper nut (out of three) that holds the taillight. I had to tighten that nut with a wrench at a steep angle, which was tough... I used a screwdriver on the other end of the wrench to apply more torque to it. A hinged wrench or a deep socket would have helped me a lot... Again, thanks much.
Yeah, it is not easy to disconnect those connectors and get to the top nut. It would be much easier with the interior panel off, but removing that is a lot of work. Thanks for watching!
@@Viktor_G_Automotive would you show or tell how to remove that interior panel? please. I need to get to the plug for towing module. Thanks an advance.
The Brake light assembly connections on the Amazon replacement were different from my 2010 RX 350 CONNECTIONS. My connections were like yours in the video. see the attached
I’ve never taken one apart to diagnose it since the manufacturer only sells the complete replacement taillight assembly, so unfortunately I can’t answer your question.
This is not to change light bulbs. This is for changing the whole taillight assembly. Changing light bulbs takes literally 30 seconds for both bulbs, including removal and reassembly of trim pieces.
@Viktor_G_Automotive Correct, but the commenter here is comparing it to changing a blinker or parking light bulb, which IS IN FACT quick and easy on this vehicle as well. I'm interested in knowing how long a whole assembly replacement would take on their mystery, quick-change vehicle they're comparing the RX to. Edit: I would like to clarify that I was responding to the original comment, Viktor. I hold your expertise in high regard and would not question it. 🙏🏼😊

A BIG thank you! Great video. (And you are right... the top bolt was a bear to get at!) Couldn't have done this project without your help.)

Great video and superb tutorial. Thanks Viktor!

Could you please double check that it is for the correct year (10-12 vs 13-15 and vehicle country of manufacture (Japan vs Canada))
Great Job Viktor " Cheers " 12 Inch Pounds = 1 Foot Pound Just like 12 Inches In 1 Foot
Yep :)
Except it's not "foot pound". The unit of torque is POUND FOOT, and the plural of that is POUND FEET.
Excellent video.
Thank you!
Thank you sir.

Thanks a lot for your time Viktor... I thought I could do it...hummm a little too complicated for my skill Jejejejjjj

excellent video. Do we know what causes the LEDs to fail? Is it the ballast? Can you replace just the ballast?

Could you make a video how to install the Vlite Vt2 on lexus RX450H 2011 or Rx350 2010-2011 ? Thánks alot
@@ThuanHieuXuanNguyen if someone purchases the module and brings it to me along with their vehicle, I could make an installation video.

@@RoNiminal this is what you have to replace if the brake light burns out since it is an LED built into the lens assembly.
