Once the RedFiles are done in Encoder...where do they go? You went straight back to Premier but I dont see them there?

OMG thank you so much for this. I just got a ton of RED footage for the first time from a client and I was losing my mind trying to figure out what was up with all of the duplicates and the folders within folders etc. This helped me so much 👍

I wish I would have saw this video an hour ago before I deleted all the "duplicate" R3D files!! When I pulled them into PP the normal way they were all the same so I just deleted them. Hopefully I can recover them from my Trash! Thanks for the tips!

@@JavierMercedes I found using REDCINE-X Professional for proxy files is more flexible for editing. Because I use Davinci Resolve for color grading at the last step of post. Anyway that was informative tutorial. Thanks!
I was about 2 cry when I saw my edited files turn red...u saved my approx 8-10 hrs of editing time..thanks a ton...u saved my life...I would like to add one point...when I was trying to locate and upload the files back...it threw error'this file doesn't has audio or video stream' answer of which I found in a different video,in which they download quicktime and delete cache in preferences...followed by a restart of P pro...doing all that,will import the media back in premier.

@@JavierMercedes Do you have any videos on different export settings? Currently I am exporting H.264 Match high bitrate. Is this correct? I create the sequence from the clip so I assume exporting to match the clip is best?

So my house mate uses the latest Adobe CC suite while I'm on ooooooold version and it turns out I can import Red footage and get the F*cking 3D FX shots done when he's asleep and I don't know his login etc. Cheers man, we are talking again! :D

hey javier I have a question in your video you said don't let your premiere close out so that it dose not turn all my files into proxies. well I did not open PP I did it straight fro M.E did I screw up my RED footage and made them all proxies or do I still have my Red file so I can do it the right way pls help. I'm trying this right now with R3D files and have connected my timecode audio to the files but Proxy doesn't show up. Do you have to do proxies before sync?
Hi Javier, I have a related question. I created prores proxies with redcine. Then started editing those in premiere. The prores were 1920X1080. Now when I replace the prores with Red footy it is larger than the sequence settings of the prores. The Red files come in at 3840 x 3072. Watching your video and seeing the back and forth from your Red & Proxy while maintaining the same dimensions makes me think i am missing a step or did something wrong. Hoping you may about to point me in the right direction. Thanks!

I am facing a problem when I am importing raw footage of the red camera R3D file
unsupported and damage error accrued can you help me with how I can import it without converting
Quality tutorial, thanks! I had never dealt with .r3d footage before and this explained it so well. Only problem is my footage still shows all the parts, not just _001's in the Media Browser and I do not get the RED footage icon in the file list view.
I'm having an issue I hope you can help me with.
I received a whole project of a R3D and there are a few clips that were shot in proress and they have a left and right bar but when I go to properties of those clips and compare them to the other RAW files they have the same dimensions, same size and everything but they appear different in the preview, what can I do?

Thanks a lot mate. ONE MORE THING. What to do when after creating proxies I want to leave all the RAW file on a portable hard drive and go away with all the proxy file on my MacBook Pro and after editing the project with proxy files I want to get back with that proxies to export from that RAW file? How do I attach the proxies with the RAW file?
After creating proxies, making sure they're attached, and toggling them on/off, i still find my footage almost uneditable. It can't be a computer processiong issue because I can edit my 4k Sony A7Rii footage without creating proxies just fine. Any help?
