- Should you paint your RV walls? This is a question we have been asking for quite some time! We knew we wanted to remodel the interior of our RV, specifically the walls. After researching different ways to paint RV walls, we were left with more questions than answers! Should we use primer, then paint the walls? Should we use a paint and primer combo? Do we need to sand the walls first? What is the best way to clean the walls so the paint will stick? In this video, we will show you what we ultimately decided on along with a few RV interior upgrades we made along the way! We did the same to our 2018 Jayco Eagle 317RLOK 37’ 5th wheel. We went with a reclining love seat on the drivers side rear living slide across from the entertainment system and fireplace, and two swivel rocker recliners across the rear where the sofa was. It really looks good, feels good, and makes our rig feel like home. Great content.

I used the paint and primer combo. I have not had any issues with the paint adhering to the walls. I started with a primer but didn't feel it did any better than just using the paint and primer combo. I did use about 3 coats of paint. (white). I did not use any TSP.
