This is an extended version of the main theme ("The Eagle Lands") of the classic Jean-Claude Van Damme movie « Kickboxer » (1989) by Paul Hertzog. This is not a remix, this is the original material taken from the original soundtrack. Several tracks have been used to make this extended version. It took me a lot of time. I originally planned to make it a bit shorter but it wasn't possible without removing important parts, so here it goes a bit longer but for the best! I hope you'll like it.

I’m 29 and grew up watching van damne movies he was a massive inspiration to me I had no dad or anything and watching kick-boxer and blood sport got me to join a kick boxing club when I was young. We don’t have heroes like this anymore
I'm 22 and movies likes these(and my father in my case) got me to start doing Karate and now Kickboxing/Muay Thai

Yeah JCVD and others like Arnold/Silvester were such an inspiration back in the days, they carried us weak little boys and created our dreams and goals. I grew up without a father, nobody in my family is even slightly athletic or into sports at all and here I am shredded and athletic at 37. Thank you JCVD and thank you all out there who recognize and appreciate this era of great role models as much as I do!

This suite sounds great! I don't even remember how many times I watched this movie when I was a kid, alongside Blood Sport of course.
This music is spiritual with a motivational character. It pushes you to be better.

"Bloodsport" was great but to me "Kickboxer" was the movie that made me realize Van Damme was going to be a major player in the action movies for years to come. It was a good story of revenge, redemption, and becoming more than you thought you ever could be for the sake of honor and family. It had the emotion factor in it that makes you get invested and makes all movies great.

You should go to Thailand and find the champ his name is Tiger Tong Po and fight him but be careful he practices his kicks on brick walls
I used to be into martial arts as a child and teen. Every time I hear this it makes me want to get back at it. Only at my current age, its gonna hurt a LOT more lol

My Grandmother would rent this movie for me almost every day of the week ..back when video stores were around (90's). I never knew if she paid to rent it or the store manager would just give it to her. She eventually brought it home,for good! I think I still have it along with all the other VHS's I have 😎

Sometime in 1996, I watched it for the first time on VHS. My uncle had a VHS library. Dad brought the Kickboxer movie, but it turned out that there was a wrong VHS cassette in the box. It was already late around 10pm. Dad went to my uncle and got the correct movie. I waited while lying in bed. Finally dad came. He inserted the cassette into the VCR. It was that great movie with great music. I was maybe 12-13 years old. I remember that day like today and I love this movie to this day

@El Rey by the way, remember those karate magazines that people use to buy @ seven eleven and circle K stores and grocery stores? Those were the days. I just have honor for Martial Arts and especially doing what put you on the path to be where you are (destiny).

My workout “playlist” back in high school consisted of these themes being recorded on a cassette recorder from the movie being played from VHs tape. lol. Man if only I had this mix back then!

Van Damme should have contacted Paul Hertzog for the Quest. That’s the only thing that movie was lacking, a classic soundtrack comparable to Bloodsport and Kickboxer.

Esas eran épocas de inicios de la globalización, a occidente nos fascinaba descubrir lo que hay en Asia Oriental: Comida, paisajes, cultura y por supuesto artes marciales. Street Fighter II fue un videojuego engrandeció esa curiosidad, Kickboxer se sumo a la ola y muchas otras mas.
