I watched this movie before my international Taekwondo tournament in Germany 89 I listened to this and won all my matches coming in first place. I had to fight 13 and 14 year olds because of no kids in my age group. 2 kids were bigger than me and my Dad said I had this possessed look of intensity. Van damme inspired me. Years before that I watched Karate Kid and Bruce Lee. When I started at 7 but Van damme movies were like the martial art version of Rocky. Kick boxer and bloodsport my all time favorite movies from him. This song is dope and hits me. If you have been practicing martial arts since a young kid then you will feel this post. Peace!
I don't practice martial arts but I feel very much connected with it and I have immense respect for it and martial artists as my father was a Karate fighter and he used to make me see Bruce Lee's and Van Dam's movies back then by bringing me the movie CDs, today he is no more and I have tears in my eyes while writing this because with this music I can recollect all the expressions, gestures, styles and moves of my father even today after 10 years of his death. I love martial arts, I love my dad and I believe he is always with me.
