Woah this video was very informative! I didn't even notice that he approaches static and dynamic poses differently in a sense that he puts character in FG for static ones and that part about the sun giving the scene a sense of vastness was quite interesting. Mingchen Shen has a really great style and moods in his illustrations are always really interesting! If you ever run out of ideas then I'd love to see an analysis of his art. Either way thanks for another great video, I look forward to more content!

Okay, first off. That was not an unfortunate circumstance you found yourself in. That was the gods (ALL of them) personally intervening to shut off your water, because they've decided that you are to be the one to usher back in the glorious era that was 80s fashion and hairstyle. Look at the singer Gowan back in the day. Just look at him! That is one magnificent mane of hair the man's sporting!
Second? It's a bold choice to have a potato be your co-host. Not sure I would have gone that way, especially since the potato isn't backing you up on that Big Hair revival, but it's a bold choice and it's your channel.
That triangle shape blew my mind. Because for the first time, I might just be able to deliberately and knowingly use leading lines in my works. Usually, they end up in there completely by accident. And the addition of the curved, encircling bits really caught my attention, too, because when I'm doing any kind of scene where the character isn't in full motion, I have to spend a lot of time tweaking the pose so that it doesn't look like I'm doing a pin up. Don't get me wrong, I like and have done pin ups in the past, and will continue to do so in the future, but that's not always what I'm going for, and adding those curved lines might just save me a lot of frustrating redesigning and reposing in the future.
And the bit about putting the characters in the mid-ground on action scenes and the foreground for tranquil scenes was kind of inspiring. I never thought of doing that before, and now I'm wondering how much things could've changed for me if I _had_ thought of doing that. Lord knows, I definitely will be doing it in the future.

Ahahahaha you're right, perhaps I have been blessed with a renaissance 😂
Omg right?! This video has for sure made me rethink composition and dynamic movement in art! There are so many ways to use leading lines, but Bo's art has truly helped me do it more deliberately, and that is such an important level-up!!

That was actually a brush from the Medsmap brush pack that came with the course, which I then converted for personal use on Krita :)

Hey hey hey! You have improved the lighting quite a lot since I last checked this channel out. The only issues I see are regarding the proportions and I think flipping the image a lot more would be very helpful. The hand and forearm look way too chubby for such a skinny character and the eyes are not aligned, I think some more references would help out a lot especially when it comes to H*NDS(artists sworn enemy >:( ). Keep it up, you are improving a lot every upload.

Thank you, I super appreciate the feedback! This painting felt a little rushed, which is probs why the anatomy is off, but I shall keep this in mind! 😄

Bo Chen studied someone better than him when he was still a beginner, that's the whole point. You're always trying to improve and learn.
