the hair omg the hair im literally 24 hours trying to understand how NIXEU paints hair its so chaotic, i think lineart brushes, oil paint brushes, soft airbrush also is difficult to understand how she uses the colors. im obsessed with "blue eyes wallpaper" its a rendering about jinx a character from league of legends, the hair is making me crazy, i can do the yes but the hair is making my head explode. thank you so much for your video

you made figuring out the art so much easier, I was trying to replicate their art as well to improve my own, and watching this made everything so much easier to understand and my art defo improved from this video alone 🤭
Some things I've noticed that I haven't seen mentioned in the video: a lot of inspiration from the fashion industry (poses, fabrics, different aesthetics and of course jewelry), predilition for desaturated or cold color palettes (I believe this depends on the metals displayed), lots of playing with lost edges especially between the clothes and background, the entire eye fissure is always in shadow while the forehead is always the opposite, she also makes the space between eyebrow and eyelid very thin so that each tilt manipulates the expression. Sorry if I repeated something.

I've found this series is also extremely useful in helping me find new artists to be inspired by. The advice of "study your fav artists works" is all well and good but tbh if you don't have enough running through your feed it can get discouraging :(. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go stare at nixeu's painted jewelry because it makes my brain go brr pleasently

"Trust the process and listen to your Mom." Truer words have rarely been spoken, especially the last. However, you forgot a third rule of thumb: "Keep a selection of choice swear words on hand." It's oddly therapeutic to scream almost incoherently at the screen at times. Granted, the dogs end up looking at you as if to say, "Have you thought of decaf every once and a while?" But they think they're saving my life when they bark at random plastic bags that blow across the yard, so what do they know?
Listen, the choice swear words would get this channel demonetized, so I just keep those to myself 😂 but yes, dogs are truly our most gallant knights....until there is actual trouble, and they then run off under the couch or bed to take cover.

Nix’s art is awesome. I don’t understand why people think of degrading their work simply because they started off heavily inspired by WLOP. Yes, the style is similar and one might say that Nix’s popularity stems from that. But also? That’s their artwork and even if it’s WLOP-like, they made it and that should be praised a lot. I just hate to see people downgrading other’s works by calling it lesser. It’s no small feat to achieve that. Someone made it themselves and that’s highly impressive. The people who study and make WLOP esque art style are doing awesome.
Sorry for the rant 😅. But people gotta stop looking down at others. Your style study was amazing and super helpful!

Omg I constantly wonder this too! A lot of this stuff is probably very subconscious, like when you learn a new skill and internalize it to a point where you don't even have to think while doing it? Which probably points to just how much time these artists have devoted to studying the principles of art 😭😭😭
@@SrishCreates exactly! The amount of time they must have put into studying these things blows my mind. I think i can say i am just approaching 3k hours in draw time since last year when i started actually drawing. But it really makes me wonder the lengths they had to go to master their craft.
To them it's just drawing i bet, they just "do" without "thinking" about the technicalities of it all and yet they are always within their pieces! Absolutely fascinating how they do their work!

I've been really into semi realism but my problem is it's really hard to do layering especially since my goal is soft skin and I can't really find proper tutorials when it comes to semi realism this helps alot tho I can't really support you on Patreon since i don't have but I would love it if you do like have tutorials on how to do eye or nose😅

I had been following NIXEU for a long time and I always thought that he was just using WLOPs style😶.. But now after watching your video I really feel that he has developed more towards his own new style🤩!!!

This is a long time scammer being spoken about (nixeu) who traces and scams that went by the username numyumy. Pls tread carefully.
Could you elaborate, because no amount of tracing can help you achieve this level of skill.
@@henrysteketee3059 they trace popular artists work and then move on when they get exposed. At most they are good at coloring, but other than that, you can literally fake that as well. Its not hard to tool drop colors and just plop it on areas that they are tracing from. Nixeu also lies about being from china and being chinese, nixeu isnt a guy either, shes spanish and for some reason she just constantly traces.
ALSO Zed is another artist who is sketchy too, they trace as well, they have posted a halloween pen art that looks extremely low quality, but then posts high quality digital works the next day. Its sad that the digital art community is VERY un monitered when it comes to stuff like this, and its not helpful at all when people excuse this behavior simply because YOU yourself cant trace art (including lineart and the coloring) it doesnt mean someone else like Nixeu can not. ANYWAY, tldr; nixeu traces, lies about gender and ethnicity. Do not buy their stuff.
