Oh, my good grief. This whole performance is a lucid dream. They are so intense, so full-on damned serious about their music; every sound is nuanced and composed just so. Sophisticated, erudite... They are musicians completely wrapped in their muse... it's a privilege to see them at work like this. Hey thanks Dubliners and KEXP. I felt extremely spoiled catching Fontaines D.C three times in 2019. With idles in Portland, a surprise (to me) at Roskilde Festival in Denmark and again back in Oregon late summer of 2019. Seems like years ago now. Grian has trouble expressing himself? Nawww.
Deadpan delivery of some excellent lyrics against an intense wall of sound from the band. Is that Roy Buchanan's lovechild on lead guitar? I'll be following these guys from now on. Good work Fontaines D.C!
