nabokov is going down as probably one of the greatest shoegaze songs made this century
i discover shoegaze thanks to Nabokov, I love her so much!
I´m kinda surprised to it be labeled as shoegaze but, man, it sure is on of the best songs i´ve heard for some time. The backing vocals are so sublime - oh my god!
Well...no but it is a fantastic song
I think decade would've sufficed but even then Slowdive came back in 2017 and that record is unmatched

They are future Glastonbury headliners. Absolutely killer band, brilliant lyrics, nice guys. Gonna be huge.

Fontaines D.C. Is the perfect sound to this new era, so fresh but at the same time like the 00's indie music AND with three records this guys keep doing really good.

Actually the best band to come out the late 2010’s. Their music can be hard yet also eerily sorrowful and its beautiful.

Saw them open up for Idles in 2019. It was one of the best concerts I ever went to and I didn’t realize it until later. So good.

I come back to this performance from time to time. It is what has gotten me into Fontaines, fell in love with Nabokov instantly. Had the pleasure of seeing them this year in Amsterdam and it was one of the best shows I've ever been to (they played it too!). Can't wait to see what future brings for them!

This band continues to evolve into a unique sound. I find myself listening to them a lot.
You get to see just how complex the lads really are. Just fucking epic how good they are now.
Since this was so popular on the parcels video, I thought I'd do it again here: I love how their outfits ranges from professional dodgeball player, ship captain, country club rebel, to alex turner impersonator
I love how each band member has their own look, style, or attitude. Lead singer is channeling the Gallagher brothers from early Oasis. The guitarist in the white shirt is a greaser from The Outsiders, total attitude. The bass player has this androgynous, kind of glam look, but super understated. And the drummer invented his own style with the sweater vest with no shirt underneath. He just screams Irish. I don't know why I'm noticing this but it informs their music and makes them unique I think. They're a great band, though.
You know what, once I read this I had to back and watch the vid. And I have to agree, each member has such a individuality, but it all comes together, Im sure each members tastes contribute to their sound that is so new yet timeless.

for me its blue shirt lad & bass player = strokes , white shirt is more like from something chaotic like Frank carter & the rattlesnakes , drummer straight outta Refused and singer is Ian curtis 😅

Absolutely incredible. Best post punk since interpol and at the drive in. Better, even, in many ways.
they’re good but c’mon… there has been an absolutely incredible post punk revival after interpol that hit it’s peak around 2011-2018, though is still going strong. these guys aren’t as innovative as bands like Women, Protomartyr, Iceage, Swans, Xiu Xiu, Liars, Bambara, Savages, Girl Band, just to name a few off the top of my head. at the drive in isn’t even post punk

@@heksail Fontaines DC is more accessible. No disrespect to those other bands, but I think that is something to consider. Fontaines may not be as good as Swans for example, but they'll reach more ears. There's a reason they're opening for Arctic Monkeys in the states next year and those bands aren't.

Awwww...I was hoping to catch a performance of Jackie Down the Line and I Love You. I'm not disappointed though. This new album is just awesome! These blokes are easily one of my favourite bands!
i mean honestly I'd just like to have them perform the whole record, start to finish. if I had to pick one song they could've performed but didn't, I'd pick the title track
