People forget that Imprezas and Evos of the time have proper mechanical 4WD systems that launch and grip so well even today…they don’t need huge power for decent 0-60 times etc…I still love them

This was my dream car as a teen in the 2000's. I nievely thought that i would be able to afford one by now as a weekend/track car, given they are around 20 years old. I was wrong. Would love one but i can't justify the price they go for as a toy. What are they like to drive?
@@reddragon1572Remember going go karting early 2000's about 14, was commuting in the back of a friends evo 8 the G force is something I'll never forget, literally thrown back pinned in the car seat haha.. It was more thrilling than go karting btw true story😎

Legendary cars, and crazy fast when they came out new ! It was similar to how the R35 GTRs came out and destroyed everything !
I miss my Evo 8, hopefully have another one in the future, absolute weapon on the road.
Its a fine line with power verses useability...if you can put it down on the limit ,nothing beats that.
Good thing about this bhp is easy achieve, basically a stock engine, simple couple bolts on mods will easily get to 450bhp,and totally enjoyable and useable for every day driving

Ricky I've a choice between Subaru STI 2005 and Evo 9 2.3 Stroker Engine What one would you go for dude? Much lag on STI. With Stroker I would say low down and mid range and fantastic low down torque and punch Thanks Richard

‘ RS3 Killer’ is clearly click bait. As an EVO and RS3 owner. The DCT transmission, direct injection and variable valve timing make the RS3 reliably slaughter most bolt on EVOs. Unless you spend ridiculous money building your EVO and putting big turbos on it - then you will beat stock RS3’s - but not stage 1+ E85 ones. (10sec quarter miles)

430bhp in a CT9A chassis isn’t really enough to be called a killer. The CP9A cars you’ve had on the channel and sold are lighter, faster.
