235 width tires are stock size for the Evo 9. The rubbing issue is not the tire size, it's the wheels that are too offset for the car. Looks good but doesn't function good on track.

As others already commented, you had quite a few mishaps recently, not that they're your fault, but from experience i know it calls for backing-off a little, just temporarly, before something really bad happens (though it was a good call to lap the GT3 shortly after the crash to get back on your horse !).
We just want you safe out here Misha, to live a long and happy life with Megi and all your projects !

That yellow came at just the right time, because the water temp had been rapidly increasing. The stock gauges in modern cars are usually quite heavily center weighted so when they start to go north of the centre line they're usually on their way to overheating. This is why I like an extra gauge that gives an accurate temp reading. Him turning on the aircon didn't seem to do the temp any favours either, more load on already heavily loaded engine. You'll see the gauge started to go north of centre at around 8.55 and aside from a brief cooldown during the first flag, its steadily climbing after that. Maybe he could change the coolant to that waterless stuff where its less dangerous for the temps to get high.

Indeed what Misha said, I feel sorry for him because we were behind him... Yea I agree on that one. He was careful and wanted to leave room but most likely didn't pay attention to his outside line and too much in his mirrors, bit of curb and grass and it's over. Respect that both of you checked each other out and for the owner to ask if you wanted to continue (as you said not much you can do but still very thoughtful)

just for the record - since everything was ok in that case: theres no way to continue driving.
conditions were absolutely fine - he could have parked in the grass and ran back.
in a situation like that you have to make sure the driver is ok, setup warning triangle - and never rely on another person to call in without communicating!
the photographer might have phone/connection/battery issues or whatever.
im sad to say it but because of people acting like Misha in this case theres people unnecessarily dying every day. :(

Seems like a tarmac spec rally car will be ideal around the Nurburgring. Monza Rally was part of the WRC. A German Rally with a N'Ring Special Stage would be very cool. They could include the South loop, too.

There's an event they do where the rally cars run the circuit the opposite direction. An onboard of a tarmac spec Opel Manta 400 or Sierra Cosworth RS500 would be an absolute treat.

Hi Misha! Great content as usual! It would be great to see a video about what people who aren't much into mechanics should look into with their old cars if it is their first time taking it to track! Would also help prevent easy mechanical failures :) Thank you for the lovely content

Tbh, I thought with the noises and scratching, I feared that the car might break or disintegrate but I am glad that it held up.

Misha, your a stand up dude! Nothing more you could have done for that fella that got sideways. Plus like you said. There were plenty of folks within 100 or so meters from the accident. I hope they were okay!

just for the record - everything was ok in that case - but theres no way to continue driving in such a situation.
conditions were fine - he could have parked in the grass and ran back, call in and set up warning triangles.
in a situation like that you have to make sure the driver is ok and you can never rely on another person to call in without communication!
im sad to say it but because of people acting like Misha in this case theres people unnecessarily dying every day. :( i was shocked he didnt even consider stopping and instantly excused his wrong behavior.
btw this is coming from a nürburgring driver, race car driver and ex-paramedic. seconds count - you have nothing to lose but another persons life! dont be a coward

A lot of Scandinavians has this habit of adapting accents, so a lot of us can sound somewhat "American" when we speak English, I'd say Nordics, but Finns... do have a strong habit of Rally English :P

Wow, they were doing probably more than 180kmh and lost traction, getting sideways slowed them down to maybe 150, but its still lethal speed, amazing that they were standing next to the track after that, i know i would be hugging the nearest tree.
