@@ron7ie666 Yes, I am perfectly fine now. Thank you. I had a 350z HR bone stock (never planned on modifying it & I was the second owner) and owned it for two and a half years before my accident. I ended up buying a 370z sport package, very nice car. I was pretty scared to drive again, but I can’t let fear get the best of me.
My guy bought a car without even looking for insurance prices or test driving it.. 😂
And a 110 thousand pound car at that...

Probably buying through his company- likely as it’s electric - told to buy it by his accountant before April 4th (the tax year end) which is why he rushed.

You could have bought a used one for around 50-70.000£. A new doesn’t make sense as the new version is already out. For the insurance you should have put the car under your parents name and added yourself. All in all this view steps would have saved you some 20.000-40.000£.
He most likely bought it for the tax write off. He can claim the full price of the car as a tax deductible expense since it’s a brand new fully electric car
why would he put his parents and then put himself as a named driver. he wouldn’t be getting any no claims benefits
depreciation on taycans is terrible. same with most EVs ATM. no one wants them and too many were sold as fleet vehicles so the markets flooded.

trust me. brand new is better. once you get brand new you never go back. Also putting yourself on your parents insurance may make your insurance a little lower but then you won’t build up your no claims discounts so it is pointless and better to have your own insurance. may be expensive at the start but if you don’t crash before you are 25 then you will be fine

@@willd4102 not true, they pretend this massively. mark mccan got a series exposing it. he got offered 2 taycans and would get an allocation, no buying history. plus check autotrader theres more 992 gt3rs' than base carrera 4's. they covering up the huge increase in supply so they can sell loads over sticker (porsche dealers asking 100-200k over) autotrader got a plugin called AT Price tracker gt3rs have dropped 100k average this year because supply is way higher than 991 gen

I don't think many would say it's worth it considering depreciation of the car.
In a couple of years you could sell it for £80k maybe, that with the insurance you're looking at around a £50,000 loss after 1 -2 years of ownership?😧
He could have a got a Ferrari GT4Lusso, Ferrari FF, Ferrari California, Porsche 911 Turbo S, Lamborghini Huracan. Instead he went for a Porsche taycan, don’t get me wrong. I have one, I paid £10,000 deposit on £250 a month for a 2020 taycan on 25,000 miles. I feel so sorry for him right now

My thing is even if the car is "more expensive" to fix than the car itself, it doesnt mean its not worth it.
Reason being, you still save on the monthly expenses and down payment on a new one anyway. So technically, it IS worth fixing because you're still not paying nearly as much as you would for a new car
