Please don't make this song about you. There are PLENTY of songs written for women in "bad" relationships. This song is about the unrealistic expectations that we as women put on our men. Maybe you can listen again with a different perspective. Maybe your guy does infact listen to your feelings, but doesn't know how to respond. Up at 5:30am making Egg and bacon or sausage English muffins, or breakfast burrito, fix his lunch, made sure he had fruit, snacks, and always homade brownies, or assorted cakes everyday. Made fresh lemonade for Arnold Parmers as he left for a fulfilled day building golfcourses. We were great! He shopped with me for me, and we had great set. He was my Real Man and after 21 years he wanted a divorce. It's been 8 years and I still miss him and sadly I still love him, He took everything. He broke me into pieces that no longer feel. For three first 6 years I cried everyday, itst down To 3 -4 times a week. I'm 67 and thought we would grow old together. He's living the life,. A real Man? I supose so. Just not mine.
