That's roughly 18 hours of rough, physical work a day without a day off in between. I did that for so long that I developed a neurological sickness related to stress, which causes pain on my whole body that feels like being burnt alive 24/7. My wife told me that if I wanted to do her a favour, I should start to relax more often and show my true feelings in front of her whenever possible, so I did what was asked of me. Not even one month later she started shouting at me at the breakfast table that she's lost her apetite due to the sad face I'm making that early in the morning and that she's rather having breakfast alone in another room than starting her day in my miserable company. To all that went wrong with me that time, the bad feeling of having made my wife feel miserable was added. I sat there alone at the breakfast table, crying in silence for 15 minutes without eating anything before I got up and left for work. After that I went back to telling my wife that everything's okay all the time. I'd rather walk through hell on my own than having to drag someone through there with me, and I know that most men would agree with me there. If you want to help your man, just walk over to him, give him a hug and a kiss from time to time and tell him that you're appreciating what he does for you in a way that he can feel that you mean it. Give him peace. If you're addressing something that you don't like about your relationship, do it in a positive and calm manner. Instead of, "Why is it always me who has to do the laundry?", say, "Sweetheart, I'm a little bit stressed out lately, would you mind doing the laundry for me from now on?" and you'll experience wonders.
