Before you attack with negative comments because of the black cage - it was a temporary cage where he spent 5 days then I moved him to the bird room with the flock. But I see there are some rude people who don't follow the video till the end. This spring the flock will be moved to the aviary 😃

Yes I did the same thing with my budgie, once she was completely used to me I set up her fight cage and got her on a better diet

Watched this yesterday and today my budgue stepped up!!! So happy omg. Cant wait for Milo to step up toooo! It took me about 2 weeks to tame 2 budgies at the same time. So glad ;D

I got a parakeet 3 days ago. The bird stepped on my hand the second day and allowed us to pet him on the first, he’s very sweet and chirps a lot.

Any bird can't resist lettuce and millet..😂 my budgies start to fight for the green i put for them.
My birds fight for spinach lol 😅😅
Mine still don't want to eat anything but, regular seed and spray millet. 😱

His cheeks are so cute. It's amazing how love can make a bird trust a human. Sadly I can't have parrots of my own because I have cats (don't put birds and cats together, no matter how docile and friendly your cat may seem to you - they are cute but fierce predators by nature, for a bird they are very intimidating because of instinctional fear, and if you have both cats and birds, never leave them alone unsupervised, even if your bird(s) is/are in the cage, a cat's paw is small and can and will go through the bars to reach for the bird and that can end up in a very painful and sad death for the bird that can always be avoided, and I can't stress enough about that) so I watch them on TH-cam just for their beauty and the way they interact with their humans and other birds. How is Ringo doing? Stay safe, you all!

I love birds and I have been fascinated by them ever since I was a child. Some people don't like them because they are noisy and sometimes bite - guess what, being noisy is in their nature and that's normal and for biting, everything with a mouth can and will bite, no matter what species it is, if it's a cat or dog or an insect.
As I was watching this video your jasper was chirping so my budgies started calling him ,

How did you tame the 5? I'm still attempting to tame the two I have and I'm stuck on the "will come to hand when hungry" and that's the furthest I got
@@dowdyhope6297 haha. It took months to tame them. If you get one of your budgie tamed. So it is easier to tame the rest of them. The other budgies see that a budgie eating in my hand safely, they also come to my hand without any fear. So it will be easy to tame them then.

You just won the lottery with taming that sweet bird. I’ve had my 4 close to a year and they’re STILL terrified of me just changing their food dishes/water. 😔 I’ve only just recently gotten 2 of them to eat millet from my hand and being able to let them out of their cage for some exercise. These birds were almost 2 and had likely NEVER been handled by people. So glad they gifted me with two beautiful chicks to hand tame. Maybe once the chicks are good and tame, they’ll help the others. 💕 I hope... 🤞

how long do you have him?
I just got my budgies and they started getting comfortable with me around the third day. They preens themselves and eats and from my hand but if i try to touch them without food the get scared. Does anyone have any tips for me

Start giving them treats for every step of progress
Probably if u teach them to step up then maybe they'll not be scared of ur hands

i have two make budgies and after a year they’re still scared when u even go near their cage to change their food and water, i don’t know what to do to at least hold them but i’m just glad they’re happy

Once I had 2 budgies 1 male and 1 female. They were soo happy and the female was friendly but I had to still win a little more trust with the male. Once I let them free from their cage the were happy for some time and when I had gone to take something from the other room and came back i found out that they were gone i searched everywhere and 100% sure the doers were closed it has been about 3 years and I still miss them a lot😢

What a cute little boy! I've been watching videos to learn how to hand tame my budgies. I've had them for roughly three weeks, but I have been taking my time and talking/singing to them so they can get used to my voice. I put my hand in the cage and offer them treats, they are still skittish. I did not know the thing about eye contact, I will be careful about that.

hi, i’ve got my budgie as a birthday present a few days ago and i really wanna make her feel safe and happy. she is quite scared of me, she bats her wings whenever i put my hand in the cage. she loves seeds and she ignored the fruits i put in there completely, only digging out for the lil seeds lol. i have been watching your videos since before i got her but i really don’t know how to start bonding with her and changing her diet etc... i really hope i can get some help, i love your vids ^^

i got my budgies to step up by recording them sing, and then i played the recording on my ipad inside their cage. i put my fingers infront of the ipad, so they had to step up in order to watch themselves
