As always nice review! But I can't believe we wanted this long for the Snowtrooper helmet and the inside looks like something a duct tap mechanic finished.
Sith Sim I agree. It’s seems like such a simple design that it shouldn’t have taken 3 years. Plus no black box or anything that would require extra approval from disney.
Received my ST helmet yesterday, and I've got to "say", I'm quite disappointed...especially after waiting well over a year for this piece. I initially ordered the "weathered" version, but about a year after that, it was cancelled by Anovos for whatever reason. For the amount of money I paid I was sad to find the cheap tape inside the helmet falling off, as well as the front vinyl piece warping....I suppose I could fix it w/some heat...but I shouldn't have to. the helmet is a bit flimsy, and one of the sides is warped. I've contacted Anovos for similar types of problems, and they always defer to the "It's screen accurate, and uses the same materials"....I think that's just an excuse for inferior materials, and quality control problems. This particular helmet probably doesn't cost them more than $5.00 to mass produce. If this was the first time I had an issue with one of their products I could be more forgiving. I've noticed a decline in quality control that I never had w/the MR and EFX helmets which weren't that much more expensive. I only display my helmets, and they can argue that these "lessor" line of helmets will be much more comfortable for the cosplayer, etc. My intension was not to ruin or take away from your video Gabriel...which is a fine video...I guess since you're the first to review it, and we were some of the 1st to receive ours, I just wanted to vent...maybe I'm the only one that feels this way about many of Anovos's products, and apparent mismanagement of their company. Instead of introducing new product so often, they should get their $hi! together...I'd rather have fewer superior items I don''t have to wait over a year for...than a slew of subpar product. Again Gabriel, sorry to vent...thanks for the video!!!
Could you do a little story time on how you started with the R2D2 builders club, what reserach did you do and such. like a tip guide for getting started.
Gabriel i got a question: Where can i buy these acrylic boxes, where you keep your helmets in? ive ordered an anovos darth vader helmet and to display it i need these kind of "boxes". would be awesome if you answer this comment. ps: would be great if this item can be send to germany (im living in berlin :D) Greetings Felix
I was gonna say that actually, i cannot imagine how much of a wait that must have been to arrive. Also how does it fit in terms of wearing it? Ive seen someone elses review recently where they said that the type plastic they use for the veil prevents the helmet from fitting on their head
Hello There these companies will sell the preorder before making the product. Sometimes they run into manufacturing issues, plus they have to get the final OK from Disney and that all takes a long time. However, I think 3 years is excessive
Three years? You're a more patient man than I am. I would just get a custom made one.
Julio Inoa I agree, but I bought it when they had the tier system so I bought it at a great price. Plus I ran out of room so I was in no rush hahah
Very nice, the tape on the inside seems a bit unusual for annovos. I have an ATAT on order. Great work as always, keep up the good work
Looks excellent Gabriel!
Terence Tan thank you!

CopOutProductions You waited over a year? Wtf why?
I'd suggest RS Prop Masters. Actual screen accurate armor that is not mass produced and tailored to your specific proportions

How about giving a prize piece away ?
Why do you always need to wait so long to get them arrived?

Damn
You waited 3 years for a duct taped helmet. Wow….
