Nice to see some positive Sequel content for a change. The First Order military really is badass! They look SHARP! My favorite is the Megablaster Trooper. I just love how Disney incorporated the use of a Squad Assault Weapon (SAW) into one of their factions. We see them blow up Poe’s X-Wing, Fire at Finn and Poe’s TIE, and pin down Rose. I kinda wish they were used more often. Like they could’ve laid waste on Takodana. I wish we saw the Resistance(I prefer to call them the New Republic) have one of these in the movies.( I know they’re in BattleFront) Also there are two kinds of First Order TIE Fighter, the double seated Special Forces variant and there’s the standard all black single seated variant. Also I thought I could recall that The First Order regarded all their assets as non expendable given they were initially the underdog. At least that would make more sense.
I’m obsessed with your videos. I’ve watched like every video. I’m into first order soldiers so I enjoyed this one! Could you try to make a video particularly about sith troopers? I love them because red is my favorite color. Great video!
I wonder are they better then stormtroopers from the empire like the og stormtroopers Also at 5:07 do you hate this scene in the movie where they fly now like jetpack weren't a thing back then
It's kinda a shame we haven't fully explored the First Order, we probably would've gotten much more content, backstory, heck even their POV, I always saw the first order's "ethics" as: "The empire TRIED being cooperative, but we all know cooperation doesn't work in this galaxy." *It's the same situation as the prequels, just give it time and effort, and we might get something second to the clone wars cartoon.*
At this point they really should've just brought the clones back, seriously I find it so ironic that clones were considered not human, expendable and only had numbers as their names, yet they were able to customize their armor, had names like Bly, Rex, Fireball, Cody, Kix, Tup, Fox, Fives etc and they were could actually think for themselves and allowed to have a personality, they needed to be mind controlled in order to do what Sidious wanted them too. Here these troopers are more clone like than the actual clones themselves, and if the first order is gonna treat them this much as subhumans, then they may as well have just used clones again.
While Disney's take on Star Wars has been hit and miss (let's not kid ourselves, it's mostly miss), admittedly the Sith Troopers look really cool...even if ultimately they're just red stormtroopers with textured bits on their armor. All the writing room nonsense and injected politics aside, there _are_ still people working on the IP that just love Star Wars and you can see that in several of the ship and alien designs. It's just a shame that said designs end up associated with objectively horrible things like the infamous fart wedding or the lesbian space witches magically impregnating each other with a goofy ritual.
The plot of the sequels may have been a jumbled mess, but the trooper designs were pretty great. F.O. Tie pilot, Flametrooper and Sith Trooper were some of my favourites. I also think the Snowtrooper was an improvement over the Imp version.
Yeah it honestly just makes more sense, the Imperial troopers had life support hose attachments on the helmets that literally never got used. Those attachments make sense for pilots, but not rank-and-file infantry
@@leonrussell9607 I know those attachments were used by pilots and probably purge troopers, but were they ever used by regular ass disposable stormtroopers?
There were actually 2 types of First Order TIE Fighters: Type 1 was the standard single seat fighter that was much like the ones used by the Empire. Unlike the ones used by the Empire, these were capable of planetary combat, had deflector shields, and a limited hyperdrive. Type 2 was the Special Forces TIE, unlike the standard fighters, these ships had 2 seats: One for the pilot and one for the gunner. The Special Forces TIE also had more weapons beyond simple laser cannons as they also had missiles and mag pulses among other weapons. Special Forces TIE Fighters also had stronger shields than normal TIE Fighters and better hyperdrive Special Forces TIE pilots are identifiable by the red markings on their helmets and only answer to the upper echelons of the First Order
How can it be more effective to kidnap individuals and brainwash them instead of getting clones delivered or people who actually volunteer and are therefore loyal out of choice and dedication instead of fear.
Because the First Order had to keep its existence as secretive as possible, so kidnapping children from forgotten and/or outer rim worlds was the best option
Not gonna lie the sequels are not my favorite trilogy. However, the upgrades to the original model of stormtrooper is impressive. And the new technology does look better and looks like it functions better. That being said, the fact that they treated their stormtroopers as disposable when they are the First Order’s first-strike shocktroopers seems wasteful. Training them to ban together for their Supreme Leader’s cause and for one another is how you get fanatics to fight to the death and keep each other alive. Hence, the U.S. Marine Corps. Also, they would need Garrison forces in order to hold whatever planets or territory they captured. That means that they would need non-stormtrooper soldiers, much like the imperial army troopers who only had helmets and breast plates over a uniform, as a way to save on Funds for equipment and training. Plus if you had washouts of the stormtroopers they’d just go into the First Order regular army instead of being executed so you don’t lose soldiers. Finn for instance could have been dropped from the program and put into this branch when he showed non-conformity issues during training. There’s a reason not all soldiers are trained to be shocktroops and it’s because they are only supposed to be used for certain missions after they’re done either the regular army comes in and takes over or they leave the place. Policing duty and security of non-critical assets is passed on to the units whose job it is to do them. The original imperial stormtroopers were turned into a peacekeeping force bc they had no real enemy to fight except for isolated insurgents. Which again, is not what you should be using these troopers whose job is to go in, kill everyone, and hold the position until relieved. Same mistakes, different decade. That’s my two bits on it. That and flamethrowers are terrifying and cool.
