They don't.listen to their husband and make no effort to improve their health. Despite them having all illness. Every celebration involves tons of suger sweets fried food and Surrey drinks.

I appreciate the honest assessment of.lack of nutrition teaching in medical school. As an RN in the US, it is outside my scope of practice to Rx medications, so I do extensive education on nutrition for my patients. Part of my job is to teach my patients how to reduce the risk of returning to the hospital. Nutrition is SO IMPORTANT!!!! People are eager to learn because it's something they can control. I've asked many docs in each area I've worked (Nephrology. Cardiology, Orthopedics, Neurology, and currently GI!!) why they don't teach patients nutritional ways to help manage their health conditions. The answer is the same - they don't study that in school.
All that to say - food IS medicine. If your nurse is trying to teach you about how to use nutrition to manage your health, please listen and ask questions, etc! We LOVE teaching these things!

One of the best and easiest to "digest" videos I've seen recently about real life, functional nutrition. What to include, what to eliminate, and most of all, why! Also dispels a bunch of myths about certain go-to and traditional foods. Great interview. So much great practical advice in context!
And, btw, start your evening meal by FIRST eating a huge salad including every veggie in your fridge or freezer, a few chopped nuts, chopped/grated apples for sweetness, with a savory dressing, maybe chopped hard boiled eggs for protein. And then eat a protein (meat, fish)...but usually I'm too full for anything after my humongous salad. The order is important to avoid glucose spikes. And there's a glucose goddess online with useful specifics for a good intro to what both docs say in this video.

I think the fake meat and vegan labelled food is mostly in the West - slowly 3:45 creeping into other countries. I was a vegetarian and for me, this meant not eating meat. In my country meat is expensive for the the average citizen and many people eat meat 1-2* a week, even maybe a few times a month so technically a lot of people (especially the poor) live a vegetarian lifestyle. We already have many meatless meals.
I didn't even know of vegan everything - meat/ice-cream/yoghurt.... until I moved to Germany in 2019!

hi Dr. Berg. I come from South Indian background.. all my life when i was living in India we were told that eating lot of meat will make you fat and the lethils with rice and samosas and all other indian snacks are good for our health since or ancestors lived close to 100 years. but when i moved to Ireland and i prefered mostly non vegetarian diet but this time i havnt had lot of rice with it. Almost every day i was having protein and my parents were worried about my diet but believe me i lost around 15kgs and never felt better. i took my vitamins and included good amount of protein and l cycled for 8-10 kms everyday. but things changed when i moved back to India. In India food is very cheap...believe me somehow it is cheap to eat street food than to cook at home and within two years i developed fatty liver, round belly, hair loss, and i look 10 years older. But i have had enough.. I have been avoiding sugars for a week and started cooking to avoid street food, taking vitamin d3 60000 IU per week and im already feeling great. Now my whole family is a huge fan of your videos and stopped going to a local doctor for nutritional adivise. I'm 118kg as of today.. but few months from now i will be proud of myself. I'M glad that i found you..please keep doing god's work.
