I love the stones and their fans. You all fill me with such warmth. The way you simply love the music and don’t judge their age is truly wonderful. Stones fans are proper music fans, you don’t care about their drug use etc. in the old days - you’re just into the music. I’m also an older guy myself nowadays, with a similar past to Keith.
I saw the Stones in 76 at a rock fest when I was a young lad myself - and you make me feel just like one of you. Thanks for that ✌️

Ordinarily I'd take poison over hearing Country but the Stones doing it puts the soul, southern sour mash and nastiness into it as they did with everything. Like some jazz players saying "those Rollin' Stones man, they some nasty MF'rs" !!

My older brother went to one of the Ft Worth TX 1972 shows, pretty sure it was the afternoon show (they played two shows in Ft Worth that day!), because my brother told me Jagger commented from the stage that it was getting, "hotter and hotter" (July in TX). It's amazing to watch this video all these years later, it looks and sounds so good (I hope it wasn't enhanced with AI). I love the Stones and am so glad they are still cranking out new music today. For me, a big part of what makes this era from the Stones so great is the clarity in Mick's voice blending with Keith's harmonies. Once age and hard living caught to them it never sounded the same. Especially Keith - his backing vocals sound more like a growling dog but the late 70s.
