GBO2 Psycho Zaku MK-II [TB]: 500 cost berserker raid!

- This video contains two recent matches I had with the Psycho Zaku MKII on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 500 cost raid with 4 melee swings, outstanding stun ability, insane mobility, access to a great range of skills including LV2 Power Accelerator and very high melee damage if given space to do extended combos. Its weaknesses would be low thrust, very poor durability, poor damage if it has to do shorter practical combos and short melee reach. I think I have improved quite a bit with this suit since the last video I did with it, so these two matches should better show off the potential of the suit. I see it as a pretty flawed suit but one which can do really well if given the right opportunities. I hope that you enjoy watching!
Its primary ranged weapon is a bazooka with 1650 power, 5 ammo, 7.4 seconds cooldown, 17.5 seconds reload, 2 seconds swap time, 300m range and 80% stagger value. This has quite poor performance for a 500 cost weapon on its own, but it can combo with your other stuns to easily restrain the enemy. The stagger value also pairs nicely with your machine gun to break MA.
Its primary melee weapon is a heat hawk with 1600 power, 2 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time and 100/105/110/125% combo modifier. Its power is absolutely awful and the range is short, but the combo modifier means it does more damage the deeper you are into the combo. Though the reach means that you won't often hit every swing in a four hit combo due to the attacks knocking them back.
Its first sub weapon is an enhanced type cracker grenade with 1800 power, 1 ammo, 10 seconds reload, 1 second swap time and 10% stagger value. Unlike other hand grenades, this instantly staggers. It has a large splash radius and a much improved throwing arc so you can easily work this into stunlocking combos from range. It can also be used sort of like a boost firing stun since you can begin boosting as soon as the throw animation begins.
Its second sub weapon is a pair of heat hawks with 1850 power, 3 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time, 50%x2 side swing modifier, 75%x2 downswing modifier, 100/105/110/115% combo modifier, 150%x2 heavy attack modifier and 2 seconds heavy attack focus time. These do much more damage than the single heat hawk due to the side swing modifier being stronger. The downswing is very fast and easy to confirm if you need a knockdown. The heavy attack has fast focus time but it does awful damage, it isn't really worth using unless you are aiming to clash on purpose with another heavy attack raid.
Its third sub weapon is a machine gun with 120 power, 50 ammo, 400 RPM, 10 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 300m range, 800 DPS and 9% stagger value. This has high stagger value and fire speed, on par with a Hizack machine gun. Useful for finishing off low enemies or to accumulate stun.
Its fourth sub weapon is a machine gun grenade with 1000 power, 1 ammo, 8 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap, 300m range and 40% stagger value. This is a fast reloading instant stagger so you can use this with your other stuns to close the distance before melee.
The LV1 Psycho Zaku MKII has 15000 HP, 15 ballistic resist, 14 beam resist and 25 melee resist. The suit has no shield so this durability is quite awful. You will be destroyed in one combo or close to it by any general with good damage output. It has a 15% reduction right shoulder buffer but this doesn't help much. Its actual defensive skills are good though with LV2 in both Maneuver Armor and Emergency Evasion.
It also has 145 walk speed, 225 boost speed, 55 thrust and 84 turning speed. This is absolutely off the charts mobility for a 500 coster, definitely making it the fastest suit at 500. You will be using this mobility to make up for the low durability, by avoiding damage rather than tanking it. It has LV2 Forced Injector and LV2 Flight Control which further improves this mobility.
It has access to LV1 Offence System which makes it hard for enemies to interrupt its long melee combos, it also has LV2 Power Accelerator which allows it to turn clashes into an advantaged situation rather than a disadvantaged one. It can aim to clash on purpose with enemies so it can then boost out of the clash and do a full melee combo on them before they can move.
Overall I think that the Psycho Zaku MK2 isn't the best 500 cost raid, there are certainly more consistent and reliable options. Its entire gameplan relies on fighting more isolated enemies, so it sort of falls apart if playing against enemies with good teamwork. It has no huge burst damage in short combos, so in most matches you would be better served using a raid that has this. I don't think it is a bad suit but you will definitely be working harder than most raids need to. Thanks for watching, and I hope that you enjoyed it!

I love this suits design. The idea of it being a highly mobile combo berserker is so fun in concept. Wish it had a little more to be a better option but W in terms of fun.
I feel like it was neutered because of the complaints the Sturm Gallus was getting, and although the S Gallus's shotgun got nerfed pretty hard, it still hits much harder when it actually pulls off the melee combo.
This should've been noticeably weaker due to the much higher amounts of ranged damage and stuns it has access to, but it often feels like it needs 2-3 combos to finish off enemies that would have been left more damaged by a standard 500 raid doing the same.
The base weapons just need an increase in power, and if that doesn't fix any issues with the suit's performance, then the HP and/or defenses (outside melee) need a bit of nudge to make sure it can survive long enough to have the average player actually land these giant combos.
I had terrifying encounters with this Zaku and it's insane amount of combos.

There it is. Hate that this suit is so cool yet so not....good. It has an interesting plan but at a volatile cost like 500, it's just not the move. You just explode if you can't kill someone within half a nanosecond and this suit relies on getting suits in on a 1-on-1 scenario that is not very likely to occur. Although at the same time I feel if they buff this suit it would be way too good, it's really pushing that boundary, but it falls short right at the last step. I honestly think this suit is just gonna get tossed to the side and forgotten, which is quite sad.
Still watching the video (since it just came out lmao), but I'm already expecting good shit even with this suit because you're playing it. Keep up the good work. 👍

Titania is more versatile and has better utility. Option between RDII zook, Goog Jager bmg, with sub weapon shotty and dual faust means you have multiple stun plan options to self initiate. Arm gatling is just icing on the cake to do chip damage on low hp oppenents. It also has good beam def to tank beam shots which is really useful at 500 considering this is the point where beam weaponry become prevalent. High thrust boost gauge, speed, and sharing the same ds as nacht's with dual cold blade make it quite annoying to deal with.
Definitely. Titania doesn't need to do long elaborate combos, still has insane stuns and has better midrange pokes.

@@GutsOfRivia No one is going to pull for a filler MS and would end up being a waste of resource and time. Look at all of the filler MS they release and end up being shelved because it so subpar and mediocre that it doesn't even have a niche role to make it unique enough to play it.

this game sucks too many people hiding around corners and wiggling to take shots.
If you know to expect it, do something to get around them. You've got a jump, boost, and typically even a dodge roll. Instead of trundling along in a straight line and complaining about getting shot for it, mix up your movements. Use the environment as cover, abuse maneuver armor if you have it. If the same thing keeps nailing you, find a different strategy. There's always something different that you can try.
Alternatively, you can keep complaining and give up.
