I’ll be catching a connecting flight from savannah to charlotte Douglas airport and will have a 4 hour delay before heading to Michigan so thank you for the airport tour
Flew to phoenix from Chicago last winter first and it really wasn’t bad at all. Repeating in late June ( I know, it’s family)
I have flown six flights with AA this year, including in Flagship First on the 777-300, First Class on a 737-800, Main Cabin Extra on an A321, and two 737-800's. Overall the service did not seem that bad although I would also prefer seatback entertainment. 4 hours in Main Cabin Extra on the 737-800 was pushing it when it comes to comfort.

I switched most of my business to UA thanks to those awful interiors after 2 million flight miles over 17 years on AA. They have been going downhill for years now, especially after the merger. Thank you UA for comping me to Global Services, so it was a no brainer to switch.
Comped to Global Service? Wow.... they really are making it easy to switch over haha.
In fact, I'm starting to do the exact same with my mom. And I wish they had more chrome jets
I haven't flown AA since before the MD-80's were retired--have only flown FC once and that was on Alaska Airlines SEA-IAH some years ago--interesting retro scheme on that AE aircraft at Echo 15

Cool trip! Bien hecho! Can you once show overhead compartments once in a while with luggage! Just to get an idea! Especially as the captain mentioned how to store items! I have a American A flight next month! Upgrade to business $120 not bad! With your blog I remembered no storage for First row seats!!so I changed just in time to 2a thru 2f. Thanks a life changer.

Dude CLT is my home AA is all i fly. I love flying with them in first class. but then again i dont know any different. Food has been great in all my flights last year.
For the planes that were originally delivered with the original Sky interior (built from 2011 through 2016) and later refurbished with the space bins, do you think the original bin components were just shifted and adjusted to transform into space bins or were the original bin components thrown out and replaced with brand new components?

I flew American two weeks ago after Delta cancelled, rebooked, delayed, and oversold my flights. So I just cancelled them and flew American for 9,000 miles and made it home in a timely manner!
3:57 Is it just me or does the visually asymmetrical seatback remind anyone else of the old Koito first class seats found on United's 737-800s?

Basically the 777 and 787 premium economy is the 737-800 First class, but without IFE, I wish they added them back, they were so much better, and the internet is not even free, just the wifi. It’s not good enough, before oasis, it used to be killer, used to be great, now its possibly southwest with hot meals and longer waiting times, and other stuff to. Im flying them soon on their economy service.
What camera do you use to make your videos?
I’m not a fan of AA’s new Kodiak product since they decided to remove all IFE screens. I do though like that they painted the logo on the winglet!
I've been a few AA flights this year. The amount of fingerprints and grime I've witnessed is concerning. AA made a mistake with no seatback IFE. Switching carriers for these reasons.
Do the seats recline on that last row of first class?

Is that blue lighting in the lav so they don't need to provide sharps containers? As for your flight, it looked perfectly acceptable, although I expect you wouldn't have been so happy overall without your PP lounge access.
I probably would’ve been ok tbh, it was a short layover anyways so the lounge was more of a “oh lets visit it” and less of a necessity.

I am surprises that for a first class , you don't have a screen on your Seat.

The “first class” on a 737-800 is basically a 777 and 787 premium economy but without an IFE.
AA is certainly not as bad as people make it out to be
I never really minded the Streaming service and removal of IFEs.
For that, you need to fly with JetBlue.

I'm flying AA in First next week from ORD-PSP. The flight offers a breakfast in First which I have already pe-ordered. Has AA brought back American Way magazine? I'm old school so I've missed seeing it during the last couple years of Covid when they pulled it. I saw it on your video when you showed coach but did not see it at all in any of the seats in First.
They have not, I used videos of coach from an older video to visualize the cabin, but unfortunately I don't see AA bringing back their magazine anytime soon. As far as I am aware, in North America only United and Aeromexico still print magazines.
How was your first class experience? Can you share some details? Was it worth it?
@@beautyfromashes8775 I feel it was worth it. The meal was pretty good and the extra comfort was definately worth it. You also get priority boarding so you can board right away and get settled which makes it nice. I always try to upgrade whenever possible. I'm flying back this Sunday and have upgraded to First Class again on my return trip.

poor computer has been through a lot, I take it everywhere I go, its probably due for a deep cleaning though
Does the last row of first class recline like the others?
Yes, the bulkhead wall is "soft" so it doesnt restrict recline in the last row

american is an ULCC that happens to have business class and charges tickets like a legacy. I avoid them like the plague if i could.

I’m seriously not seeing the appeal of AA first class. Aside from getting a small meal, more legroom, and your beverage in a glass instead of plastic cup, it’s very hard to validate the cost to purchase off the bat or upgrade. Alongside other folks, I agree that removing IFE because people have their own electronics was a wrong move. I honestly preferred not killing my phone battery and having a bigger screen to watch.
Be cool to fly on first class on an almost empty plane like maybe four or five passengers more peace and quiet 👍😊👍

I just did a 6 hour flight from Anchorage - ORD and they offered no food. Not even for purchase. Pathetic. That’s why I try not to fly AA.
But I haven't seen any articles from The Points Guy or OMAAT confirning the completion of Oasis for A321s
The A321S only has Kodiak not Oasis
They have, I’ve gotten confirmation from people with access to internal AA fleet documents. The only fleet not to have oasis is the 32 A319s with sharklets
So the A321S does have Oasis?

@@masonbachara yup, the only A321s without oasis are the transcontinental ones. Both LUS and LAA are all 100% oasis-fied
Is AA still using these 1950’s style first class upright seating? As first class and premier business class cabins go these are NOT the semi-private lie-flat seats that most other airlines offer. I flew these 3 years ago, so nothing new about AA, as far as seats go. I don’t know how the choice of nuts goes though. My best advice is to check the web and compare. But thanks, your video is the AA briefing on all that.
