Three Peaks UK, challenge !!

On the 19th August 2019, Caitlin, Niamh, Alice and I (Holly), aim to complete the three peaks UK challenge. This will require careful planning to ensure we stick to a strict time schedule and the help of my lovely Dad, Ross, our designated driver. We would be ever grateful for even the smallest donation as we face this challenge.
Dementia is a broad term used to describe a range of progressive neurological disorders, that is, conditions affecting the brain. There are over 200 subtypes of dementia, but the two most common are: Alzheimer’s disease and vascular dementia. Dementia can affect both young and elderly people, all in different ways.The Alzheimer’s Society reports there are over 850,000 people living with dementia in the UK today. Dementia can cause all kinds of heartbreaking problems for both sufferers as well as loved ones. Problems include memory loss, decreased cognitive ability, and issues with communication to name a few.
Holly would like to complete the three peaks challenge in memory of her Nana, Norma, who suffered from vascular dementia as well as her Great grandmother Eleanor. Dementia UK is an amazing charity who work to provide specialist, loving care to both dementia patients and their entire families to help ease the difficult process. They help families to live more positively with dementia in the present, and to face the challenges of tomorrow with more confidence and less fear.
