Basement waterproofing - Type C membrane
มุมมอง 9K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Type C waterproofing is defined in BS 8102: 2009 as ‘drained protection’. This is achieved by the incorporation of a drained cavity within the basement structure. The basement wall must provide enough primary resistance to water ingress to ensure the cavity only accepts a controlled amount of water or dampness. Water is collected in the cavity, between the external wall and an internal lining (...

This is another film about an injury I recently received. It is bit of a time record day by day as to how the amazing body healed my fingers. It shows the wound after the accident and how the wonderful people at the NHS managed to save my fingers There is a bit of blood and gore and a few tears so if you are squeamish best not watch it. #injury #healing #handinjury music by the Mini Vandals www.y...
LIATHACH
มุมมอง 9872 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a a short film about my recent ascent of the fabulous Munro Liathach which, is in my opinion, the second best mountain in the UK. Liathach, which means the Grey One, is located in Torridon and consists of 2 Munros, Spidean a Choire Leith (1055m) and Mullach an Rathain (1023m). Its great terraced wall, rising above Glen Torridon, is unique among Scottish mountains in conveying the impres...
A boat trip out to the Isle of Mingulay
มุมมอง 4.2K3 ปีที่แล้ว
At the southern tip of the island chain of the Outer Hebrides sits the Isle of Mingulay - abandoned by its last inhabitants 100 year ago. Now owned by the National Trust of Scotland, Mingulay can be accessed in the right conditions by boat tours and charters from neighbouring islands including Barra and Uist. The history of the island stretches over seven millennia, and the final families cast ...
A cold walk up to Cross Fell in the Northern Pennines
มุมมอง 3393 ปีที่แล้ว
Well I have walked up Cross Fell a number of times, but to celebrate us coming out of Lockdown we went up there again, this time with my daughter Holly. Cross Fell is the highest mountain in the Pennine Hills of Northern England and the highest point in England outside the Lake District. It is located in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The summit, at 2,930 feet (893 m), i...
How to frame a Highland Cow
มุมมอง 1423 ปีที่แล้ว
Last summer I managed to escape to the Outer Hebrides for a bit of wild camping on the fabulous beaches of North Uist. One morning I woke up, and whilst munching on my cornflakes I noticed a large red hairy mass on the beach. At first I couldn't work out what it was exactly but then it dawned upon me that it was a Highland cow sat on a wild white Scottish beach, I just knew at that point that i...

@@rosstetlowadventures9751 I had my eye on Manaslu circuit just after Covid but got Pneumonia, I still fancy that, but time off work is an issue, I've previously done the EBC and Annapurna Sanctuary to ABC & MBC, Lang Tang or possibly one of the 2 I've done previously if I can get my youngest son interested.

I just sent you a comment with an external link but looks like YT deleted, god knows why, I have a YT channel myself and know the rules, the reason there are so much derelict cottage s around can be explained by searching for “ The Scottish Clearances The Isle of Lewis “ which may give you some answers, although that one cottage seemed to have a kitchen sink that quite modern Another good video by the way
What a lovely delightful film, Barra looks such a lovely safe and happy place to live, reminds me of St Mary’s on the Isles of Scilly although far more populated and commercial they too leave produce at the roadside with honesty boxes for the money, it seems to me that these offshore uk islands are hidden gems without the trappings of the modern world in which most of us live, thank you
Thank you , it's just a fabulous place , there is so much more than my film can explain , you must go 😎🙏🏼
Just started myself in August, how long have you been vloging?
Four or five years
I am heading to Nepal in September for a month and can't wait
