Just discovered your channel and subscribed. You do such a wonderful job with your videos. Very peaceful and calming to watch. Your video production and choice of music is extraordinary! Would love to have a chance to hike in that area. It’s so beautiful and your video composition really brings it to life. Thank you so much for bringing it to the world! I hike in the northeast United States in the White Mountains of New Hampshire which are heavily wooded. We have wonderful views but this is……I’m literally at a loss for words. Very nice drone work also!
Thanks so much for your lovely words 😊 Glad to be able to share a different part of the world with you. I will have to Google the White Mountains, sounds magical ✨
@@FablesandFells The White Mountains of New Hampshire include a range called the Presidentials which, as the name suggests, are named after some prominent US presidents. Washington, not surprisingly, is the tallest at 6288 feet. Not a particularly tall mountain but one of the most dangerous in the world unbelievably. Many lives have been taken on this and surrounding peaks due to the particularly harsh weather conditions that change dramatically in a very short time. This range sits in area of convergence of 3 weather making air masses and when they come together it’s usually quite violent. Mt. Washington used to hold the world record for the highest wind speed ever recorded on earth. There are signs at tree line for all the trails that say that this area experiences some of the harshest conditions in the world and that you must be prepared for the environment or turn back now at your own peril. Many an experienced hiker has scoffed at those signs because they’ve scaled much higher peaks and have unfortunately lost their lives. Very challenging hikes to say the least but incredibly rewarding and fun. 🙂
Ahh of course. Thanks for that. Oh that's very sad. Unfortunately that happens over here too, particularly Scottish peaks in Winter. There doesn't need to be a great height to have some truly harsh conditions.

Good to have "Old faithful" with you I bet... I'd,ve been thinkin' about all the roman soldiers and what they went through there.. I don't scare easily but I may not have camped there (Scaredy cat!!). Great vid.. I've been.. Come up the pass and ended up swimming in Wastwater on hottest day 2022. Magic.. Look forward to your next one.. : )
Stumbled across your channel and such a joy to find. Beautifully filmed and accompanying music that doesn’t overwhelm. Wow, the colour of those fells looked stunning. What contrasts. I loved your dog filming too, really captured his beautiful soft eyes. And I LOVE the phrase “snurgle away”, mind if I use that one too ❤😊 Nice work, Chloe

There’s something mystical about the Isles, I’m sure it’s knowing that people inhabited the land for thousands of years. So rich in history it’s beautiful, thank you for sharing your video and take care from ‘Soggy Southern California’🙏 and I learned a few new words: torch-light and wander-hike 🤗
Thanks John! Yes, I was just saying to someone else it's amazing when you stop and think of all of the people who have trod these paths for thousands of years. My pitch was close by to the Roman fort - just imaging them being station there.
Hi Chloe, really enjoyed your vlog, as a fellow Cumbrian " immigrant " may I just say, I am so proud of you for showing how a responsible dog owner should behave when on the fells, Cam is lucky to have you, as you are him, some vloggers fail to recognise that these beautiful fells are and have been for centuries the place where many families make their livelihoods, largely through the raising of sheep, predominately the native Herdwick, who live wild and free for most of the year on our beloved fells, Sheepdogs are some of the most intelligent breeds, they have helped livestock farmers for centuries, because like all carnivores their D.N.A. their natural instincts are those of a predator, note to potential reckless dog owners on the fells :- ( that's how they scare the sheep into doing what the shepherd or farmer needs them to do ) domesticated they are, but globally many dogs are shot and killed every year for " worrying " sheep. it was brilliant to see you restrain him when needed, but let him be free when safe to do so, even the sight of a dog in " their home " can mean carnage for a pregnant ewe or newly born lamb, soz, Chloe, on a brighter note, beautiful photography, editing, dialogue and presentation, BRAVO ! Bon chance ! an illustration of what can happen, www.nwemail.co.uk/news/19987680.cumbria-police-reminds-dog-owners-consequences-sheep-worrying/
Thanks ~ yes, it's very sad how many sheep are killed or injured by dogs every year or the dog's go missing because they've ran off chasing something. Never worth it, and I say that as a spaniel owner (aka not a dog best suited to walking on a lead 😅).
Wonderful video. I don’t know if it would help but maybe score yourself an Infrared Monocular for those overnight stays. A quick sweep of the landscape might give you peace of mind when your dog feels unsettled. (Edit) I noted other comments as well about IR. Sorry I should have read those first.
Thanks 🙏🏼 That's a great idea! I haven't gotten through all the comments so this is new to me, and always useful to have a reminder anyway if not. I will definitely look into that.
Hi Chloe. I came across your channel for the first time and really enjoyed the quality of your video both visually as well as content wise. Living here in Canada, we also have wonderful and spectacular geography and sights to see during our drastically different seasons from minus 35C to positive 40C from winter to summer with Fall and Spring also being quite distinctive. Your aerial coverage with drone footage is most amazing and grips the mood and atmosphere of the place. I look forward to watching more of your videos. Cheers.

Living in Germany I´ve spent 2 weeks in the 90s in the lake district when I was a boy scout. I´m going to come back for the first time next week and I´m so excited! Thank you so much for this beautiful video!
It's utterly amazing to see beautiful people, such as yourself, doing the things I'm going to do in the coming years. It's admirable that you're alone in that there's no other person/significant other, besides your faithful doggy. To me, making a journey, short trip or long, either by myself or (if I find her) with my future lovey, would probably be the most soul fulfilling experience (and damn romantic!). At 52 years of age, my daughter will be off making a life for herself in the coming years and so I'll be doing the same, in a way. THIS method of adventure is marvelous. I'm in shape, thanks to ultra trail running, so I'm totally ready to roll! Thank you for posting

Oh I absolutely loved this video. The landscape is practically primordial. You wouldn't be surprised if a mountain Troll or a pack of Orcs walked past! New viewer and new fan. Thank you.
@@FablesandFells I always wondered what the poor Roman soldier who was transferred from sunny Italy to Hardnot Fort had done to deserve it. What a shock that must have been! I once made the mistake of driving the pass in winter at night trying to get from Sellafield to the Mason's Arms at Strawberry Bank. Headlights up off the road and ribbons of ice everywhere! I needed a pint after that!
Ryan and I always say that! They did have mercenaries and auxiliaries coming from all over but yes, must have been such a bleak posting if they came from the med 😅
A big fat Wow. I've just found your channel. Great editing and filming and the music you have chosen to go with it has just blown me away. I've been just watching TH-cam for two years watching channels just like yours.well you have blown me away.thank you. And your Springer spaniel. Sorry for the fermiliarity, but sweetheart, that is the best wild camping video I have ever seen. Beautiful place Beautiful companion, beautiful visual story. I love to walk and camp with my dogs. Getting harder now, I'm 62. Can't give it up just yet. Thank you for your wonderful video ❤❤
I too found you accident, happy accident. Your videography is beautiful. Your presentation is interesting, and the music has a calming affect that I enjoy listening too. I am an artist, and TH-cam fills the silence. I have already found myself replaying your videos. Far and few between, I hope you post more. Thank-you for sharing. Oh please include more of the pup!
Really enjoyed this - TH-cam recommended it after I’ve binge watched Kent Survival videos. Well shot and completely different setting - would love to have seen more of the kit you cook with, that’s often the most fascinating bit to me! But I loved the dog and the drama - top stuff!
Such surreal landscapes and otherworldly views! The tone of your voice and choice of music further bring out the already stunning visuals. So well done! Subscribed 👏🏻👏🏻

The atmosphere is much better than the lord of the rings tv series. İ loved it. Music, cinematic, editing... Great
Haha I don't know about that, but thank you, glad you enjoyed it 😊
@@FablesandFells It s better you dont know, for your sanity 😅

Ahh thanks so much Paul 😊 Haha snurgle away 😄 I grew up hiking and camping on Dartmoor so you have a beautiful part of the country too 🙏🏼

The lakes are just stunningly wild and beautiful, its not surprising so many poets and artists travel to them. Thanks for the upload.
Yes, definitely. Thanks for watching 🙏🏼
You really captured the essence of this place perfectly with music and film. that was a spooky going on at midnight! I've had similar experiences wild camping, its almost enough to put me off.
Thanks Dave 🙏🏼 Ahh really? Did get the adrenaline going a little 😅
Scary! 😱 I’d have been frightened!
I now at 49 have fibromyalgia, so cannot walk very far. This is only the 2nd channel I’ve subscribed to. I love watching the other channel, and I think I’m going to love this one to, loving the music and the countryside xx
Aw I'm honoured, thank you Tarnya ♥️

Brilliant presentation. I have pitched many times around that area. The Crincle crags being one of my favourite..
Love Crinkle Crags, the whole area really, but that's such a nice walk over to Bowfell.

First what a great video loved it all the views the music and especially your companion , what a star. Remember back in the 1970s my wife and I overnighting in our VW camper van in this area that was when you could do that no problem. Thanks for showing this made my day by bringing back these memories for us.

Absolutely spectacular scenery, what a artistic showcase! Breathtaking!!!
Thank you so much 😊 Glad you enjoyed seeing this part of the Lakes ⛰️
I've watched a lot of TH-cam but I've rarely ever seen anyone that I've so readily connected with so quickly. You have an amazing on screen presence you are quiet & well spoken. I have subbed your channel & I look forward to watching past videos. God bless you always. Good luck in the future.
Ahh that's lovely, thanks so much 😊 Being quiet has so often been seen as a negative over my life so I appreciate that 🙏🏼
You have created a magical atmosphere with the filming and music combined with the natural beauty of the landscape you are exploring. A truly wonderful production of the highest qualiity. Loved it. Can't wait to get back to the Lakes.
Thanks so much Phil, appreciate it 🙏🏼 Wishing you a speedy return to the Lakes ⛰️

Which isles? Or is it witch

I, too, just discovered your channel and really enjoyed this video. I have subscribed. Wishing you the best from California.
Thanks so much 😊
Cheers.
Thanks so much Murray 😊 Canada has been on my list for too long, it's absolutely beautiful, I really need to do a trip! 🙏🏼
Just Wow! I can't believe this is only your 7th TH-cam video. It's so professional! I've loved seeing your skills, confidence and creative style, develop. Excited to see where it takes you next. 👏👏👏 🥰

Hi Chloe, just discovered your channel, beautiful video and spectacular scenery! I watch a few channels that feature these areas (hiking/camping and motorcycling) and I can't believe the beauty of the place. What a lovely little film. Can’t believe TH-cam hasn’t recommended me to your channel until now! Really enjoyed this.
Ahh thanks, glad you enjoyed it 😊
it’ll just be the Hard Knotty Bogey man that startled Cam. He’s always milling about this time of year 👀

Thanks so much. I hope you have a lovely experience when you get out and hopefully you'll find a like mind the more you do 🙏🏼
