I think he didn’t even keep a copy, just had everything filled and filed for him. Usually If your paper work is ok and your story is straight forward they don’t even call you for an interview. But yes, one wonders what he thought he’d be asked about once he was being interviewed…

Im a BRIT and cant understand 90 percent of the Glaswegian accent. I wouldn't be able to answer most of their questions.

Id say it was based in fear, she tells the police she asks for trouble. Its big business for the criminals who supply info to them.

My children ( and i of course) livein Finland, citizens and all, but when they studied at universities full time they also worked. At the moment only my youngest one still studies for master degree at university, works FULL TME in a bank and studies. Moreover he lives in Helsinki but his university is in Waasa, which is like 4 hours by train. I m writing it all as why are the officers surprised that students work while studying. It is normal. The youngest works full time 40 hours at a bank, takes days off to pass exams, lives at the centre in a very nice apartment with his gf who also works full time at a bank and studies to be a lawyer.
If they work 40 hrs where is there time to attend classes and study?
It's normal to work whilst studying in the tertiary sector of education. However, international students who choose to migrate to a different country to study are granted entry into the said country based on a Student VISA pass. Student VISAs have their conditions; for starters, you MUST be a student. That means your main reason for existing in the said country is to study... not work. If someone wishes to work full-time and study part-time, they should enter the UK on an employment-based VISA or any other immigration pass that permits full-time work. It's unfair for foreign employees if international students are allowed to work full-time... since it's easier and less tedious to obtain a Student VISA than to get a Work VISA (at least for the UK). People would abuse and take advantage of that system.
I agree bambina, I have 2 different Jobs and a 5 year old, I work 40 hours at one Job and 10 to 15 hours a week on the other. Both physical jobs. That would work the same way with studies and work. Not everyone understand... spoiled or lazy??

It is fascinating that these guys don’t even try to make up a plausible story when they go for an interview. Surely they must know that getting a UK visa is difficult??
They want to work. They do jobs some natives don't want to do. Same here in USA. People complain about immigration, but they do jobs that others don't want to do. And then, we have the locals on the dole who don't want to work. These immigrant are brave to try and improve their lives. Sad situation.

Some cases are sad, because there are very good people and all that they want to do is work and live in a safe place but the law is so cruel that will give free money to people who don't want to work and kick them out the once who wish to work almost for free to only have a safer place to live.

That young Ukrainian female is a quality person. She never informed on her associates. She can teach several million US prison inmates a lesson in character. I've worked with many inmates throughout my career as a Corrections' Consultant. Many of them are just natural born manipulative snitches right off the streets of NYC. The American criminal justice system depends on info gathered from confidential informants.(CI). There is a US Supreme Court decision written by Justice Douglas where he formally referred to informants as "OLD RELIABLE". (1954). My respects to that beautiful refreshing young lady. They should have left her in the UK. Britain needs excellent people like her.

That's a Scottish accent. While Scotland is part of the British Isles, their accent is always specifically referred to as Scottish. So many ver different accents in Britain, but usually it's either the standard BBC English accent or London cockney that are referred to as British.

Being from Canada we very rarely find people sneaking in by vehicles but due to are large boarder with the States we do find people crossing far away from the official crossings but even this is very rare are usual finds are drugs coming in by plane in people luggage or concealed in shipped packages. In fact one of are biggest things is Americans crossing the boarder with guns, many Americans don't know how strict are gun laws are and in fact many think if they are allowed to carry a weapon in the States they can do the same here (They are wrong) under Canadian Law if the weapon is declared they are just turned around and sent back to the States but if asked at the boarder and they say no and yet a gun is found they are arrested and charged under are law and the gun is taken and destroyed by the Canadian Government.
Well in high school my friends and I took road trips around North Dakota and in Canada. Certainly no American or Canadian control. Nobody cared. But we obviously didn’t have guns lol. We never even got out of the car. Things were so great when I was a kid.
Also, people coming in and out of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario aren’t dangerous people with guns. They’re just country folk probably have a rifle in their backseat for deer, mountain lions, or whatever on their ranch. ❤️🤟🏻 🇨🇦 🇺🇸
