Every Seraphon reveal has been amazing. I love the new lizards so much. The raptor bois are so expressive and have that cute smiley lizard face.

Hay do you know any good lore channels for AOS? What really drew me into 40k was the lore. I haven't been able to find anything similar for AOS yet.
@@TheLordofMetroidsPancreasnowork has a “Do or Don’t” series that covers AoS armies. Going from fantasy background, to AoS lore, and then positives and negatives from a lore standpoint and a model/tabletop standpoint.
What I love about the Tzeentch warband is it reminds me of the old horrors which really emphasised that changing mutation in tzeentch.
I love the Cities minis. I really want them for city guards for D&D. Please also give me another couple options for them to have spears, and for bows/crossbows, and we're golden. This would become my defacto "town guard" model suggestion.
The Cities of Sigmar armour is super historically accurate. I'm a HEMA instructor and historian, and There are historical examples of armor in books and museums, that are nearly identical to what's sculpted here.

Oh I love the Cities of Sigmar models... They feel like an in-between point between the old Empire, Brettonia, and D&D town guards... which... honestly works super good imo.

ive seen a lot of hate for the new cities guys, idk if its older people who thought they would be more like old models or something. Idk anything about fantasy so maybe im missing nostalgia or something. But i really really like them, idk why though haha. I cant wait to see what else they get. The seraphon are amazing and i want them too
For me it’s them looking like they’re going for a more medieval look rather than a renaissance look, I prefer the older empire/freeguild look personally I would have preferred they stuck closer to that just with better sculpts. I’m biased though because my army is made up of freeguild and I’m worried all my stuff is about to get squatted
For me personally, I like the sculpts themselves. I'm just not a fan of the paint job. It just doesn't vibe with me, the shade of Orange used or how the metallics looked. I want to see what the rest of the range has, and I'm excited for what a new CoS range represents. The paint job for me just put a dampener on my excitement.
I'm personally glad the Cities are getting an update, just wish they'd showed off more than just some men-at-arms types. Like some handgunners would have been nice to see. And some different color scheme than orange.
@@menschman1464 To be fair, your current minis should be fine to use. They're almost certainly gonna have the same weapons options.
@@Pemmont107 I’m a pessimistic dude lol. I’m afraid that their just going to do a clean slate new thing. If I’m being more realistic they may just do an orcs thing where there are a few sub armies each with their own range.
I love the Warspawned Krox! But they again I play Warhammer Total War and they went for very Krokodile-Looking Kroxigors.
And we need 2W for Saurus definitely. Being so incredibly buff and having 1 wound would feel weird
I hope they still keep Bastiladons, Terradons and Stegadons for purchase causes there still amazing models for Seraphon toooooo!!!!!!
Always happy to see you cover more AoS on this channel! I love the new Seraphon since they *really* needed the range update. If I didn't have so many armies in my backlog, even I'd be interested in starting a force. But I guess I'll just settle for allying the new Slaan into my Stormcast army. For the new Cities of Sigmar models, I like the Sculpts themselves, not a fan of the orange, the trim around it, and I don't like how high the boots are. But those are nitpicks. I'm excited for the rest of their range. I'm more excited for the new OBR book than the model, even though I love the levitating bone-assembly and the wierd spider ribs on his back and head. As for Ivya Volga, I'm happy GW hasn't completely dropped the Vyrkos Dynasty even though they released everything for Cursed City. But when it comes to the Underworlds reveals, I'm excited! I have both armies and I'm SO here for both of them, and the theme of this season as a whole being literally ALL about Magic is really intriguing to me. So consider my interest re-ignited in Underworlds, beyond the Warband models themselves. Although. . . my favorite detail for the leader of the Tzeentch warband is that the growths on the head forms the shape of a crescent moon, a Tzeentch symbol that, in my opinion, doesn't get used enough.
The Carnosaur, Stegadon, and Terradon Riders are indeed more recent. They are only ten years old compared to the twenty years the rest of the range is.
“My brain hurts” is a rather tame reaction when looking at Tzeentchian Warp Horrors
I will consider Tzeentch when, and only when, they get a mini that's suspiciously like the Beast of Craggy Island.

I love that the head of the Tzeentch warban leader's head looks like the icon of Tzeentch
I do hope we get new skink infantry for Lizardmen, they are the only old model not getting a glow up so far.
I don't even play AOS, but I kind of want to buy some of that range's models just to paint.

Kirioth. I get you on the army box. It's also not the composition I would have liked to see but it is a great starting point with a Slann and some Saurus.
Also, if you do want Kroxigors, a few skink units of some kind are going to be desired because most of the Krox appeal narratively lays with how much they instinctively wish to protect their skink buddies. They're like the Ogryn are in 40k I think (correct me if I'm wrong) with their almost pathological need to protect their friendly guardsmen they fight along side.

I love the seraphim. Best overhall GW has done since lumineth. It really just feels like we got new old seraphon instead of a new entire faction if that makes since. The cities guys are DOPE. Can't wait ti see more.
Well when you compared the Ephilim to the Gaunt Summoner my first thought was that it's in very relative terms like a cuter version of it, so makes sense that it's an apprentice.
The new Cities of Sigmar figures remind me of Terry Pratchetts The Watch.

I like how the cities of Sigmar infantry, Chaos legionaries and grave guard all have a similar look to them.
You can tell that the original Sigmar soldier has either been corrupted or raised from the dead

Since they made the headpacks for the space marines, technically you can use some of that has a doesn't have technology on it and place it on some of the sigmar sorcerers if you don't like their heads.
I love that they kept the falchion's blade profile but still adapted the furnishing to match the rest of the unit's visual language ^^
I love the Gaunt Summoner's head, since it literally just has a crescent moon shoved through it!

I'm liking the new Freeguilders model's at the moment.
I told myself that I would not get any seraphon until they make new kroxigors. I loved the range, and could deal with how out of date everything else is, but my favorite unit in lore and artwork looks so silly and old on the tabletop.
These were everything I could have asked for, and I no longer have an excuse to not start seraphon. Cue Jurassic park theme.

Love how they filled out the Cold Ones. Do you know what Shrink Wrap Theory is for Paleobiology? The old Warhammer dino models fell into it pretty hard, and GW seems to be moving away from it. In Total War the Saurus Warriors were already updated, but the Cold One models were sticking to the dated Tabletop version. So not only are these new girls way more filled out, the proportions have been adjusted to look like they could actually carry a rider as heavy as the Saurus. As opposed to the thinner raptors carrying the Skink knights.

Love the Seraphon stuff so much, I'm getting out of every army I own for AoS, save for FEC and maybe Skaven, and going full Lizard. I love how the Kroxigors are brutal but had some intelligence, then the Warspawned will eat anything that moves except the Skinks that look after it between fights. The only thing I have against some of these reveals is this...
AoS seems to be more like Age of Cinematic Rip Offs. Because those new Aggradons looks just like the Raptors from Jurassic Park, even the Scar Veteran's mount looks like Blue from Jurassic World, in pose. Then you have the new Underworlds warbands who literally have Obi-Wan Kenobi and two fellow Jedi and one of those Tzeentch Daemons looks like a Dugg, the alien race that is Anakins Pod Racing rival Sebulba in Episode 1.
Other than that some pretty solid reveals, that new vampire lady looks cool but I'm not very sold on the Cities of Sigmar, which is a shame as I was eager to see some stuff for them.
Damn, Ive been printing seraphon proxies lately but these new models are superior in every way. Looks like GW will be taking more of my money.

The dinosaurs the Seraphon rides on looks like they have sort of cartoony smiles, but they look very good. I don't hav any Seraphon, so I probably won't get them, but I do like their looks.
The Cities of Sigmar dudes look nice (maybe not the helmets). I look forward to the release so I can add them to my Cities of Sigmar army (maybe I get to paint some of what I already own before these figues are released) and I hope they give us more units to be revealed at a later date. Would love more Duardin units.

Yeah, AoS got the best toys in the announcement. The seraphon army box is a tough one. I love that it comes with 10 skink raptor riders; I regret missing out on getting the old Tich-Huichi's old one cavalry from back in the day. Not as sold on the slann, but I've never liked them. the box needed 3 kroxigor. The cities militia are great while also remind me of Playmobil men at arms which I'm not able to unsee. The SBG hero is one I think I'll get just to paint, the character is too good to just be in a SBG army.
Sigh. Too many neat things, I already have too many neat things. Gun to head and can only choose one: the vampire hero.

The Seraphon getting their update with CoS is incredible to me, but honestly the Stormcast Underworlds warband is peak Sacrosanct to me; the flowing cloth meshing with the leaner armour is peak Stormcast wizard to me and tbh, completely overshadows the Tzeentch tomfoolery going on. The only thing I have to work out now is if I can find some Paladin/bucket helmets to put on them for maximum "I'm going to burn this place to the ground" vibes lol

I can't help but compare the sleeves on the stormcast with the chunky, solid resin sleeves with painted shadows of the traitor consul they previewed last month. These are so much better, why do they insist on using resin for things like that.
I preferred yesterday's Beastmen with chainswords because what is not to love 😍 🐐

Mortisan Ossifector: The name may be awefull, but in the best way. It literally spells out what this guy is all about: an Artisan of death that manufactures stuff from bones. I'm still not too fond of the whole range, but I certainly won't complain about a faction I don't have the strong desire to collect.
Hope they do the same for the scaven now

It's odd to me to see Kroxigors as more humanoid, rather than hulking and chunky. They also seemed much more based off of dinosaurs than crocodilians.

I have mixed feelings about the new cities of sigmar, on one hand these new models look bad ass and i will be getting them when they come out. At the same time it's a very different vibe to the old Empire model that was an aesthetic I really enjoyed because of being a fan of Renaissance history. I'm probably going to use both old and new kits for my new cities of sigmar armor so I can get the best of both worlds.

the 2 death heroes look cool, but they're also about as far as possible from anything those factions might have wanted or needed.
OBR already have like 5 mortisans or mortisan adjacent heroes, 2 of which already never see play largely due to overcrowding of the niche that the new guy can only make worse. and the glut of small named never played vyrkos named heroes is even worse.

I absolutely adore the new Freeguild people. They look fantastic! Pleasantly surprised to see Medieval-esque, slightly grimdark, fantasy footsoldiers. And it's totally fine that they don't look like Empire State Troops; they're AoS minis, after all! They're a hell of a lot better than those old "battle pyjama" models.
Also! You're currently my favourite Warhammer TH-cam personality: Not only are you entertaining and genuine, but you're one of the rares who *don't* have an unreasonable dislike of all things AoS. It's nice to share the hobby with a channel that doesn't berate it all the time ^^
To be honest, the hate that it still gets makes me want to play it more!

Cities of Sigmar soldiers look like Duplo toys for some reason, the overall design looks good in theory but their execution looks wrong. Great to see CoS become a legit faction and not a grouping of runoffs they didn't know what to do with.

The rest is fine, great even, but I REALLY dont like the Cities-Minis.
Ironically I think by trying to make them less generic, they made them more generic.
The Empire-Infantry Leftovers may just have been largely 15th Century Infantry directly lifted and copied into a fantasy-world, but as far as Fantasy-worlds go, that was a really unique aesthetic.
The new guys are technically more unique sculpts, but they are just the same dime-a-dozen high fantasy aesthetic you see everywhere, and thats rather boring. And the helmets are just ugly.
Cities was the only thing in AoS that interested me, and if thats the aesthetic going forward, I think I can safely skip the entire thing and wait for The Old World instead.
Im so bummed about the kroxigors to be honest, i was hoping they would be more like thier total war counterparts with some nice meaty proportions, instead they elected to use the derpy proportions of the old models which is daft when the Bloodbowl Krox is CORRECTLY proportioned

There's one thing I dislike on the new seraphon, the "hands" of the mounts, all those dinosaurs have broken hands sadly.
I know Jurassic Park dinos are cool, but please artist/modelers/creatives in general, stop breaking the limbs of those poor creatures ffs
