Wrong! 13th Space Wolf great company traveled with Leman Russ into the Eye of Terror to fight Chaos, they where never seen again until Abbadon’s first major attack on Cadia (the one before he threw a Black Stone Fortress at Cadi), and where wearing a hodgepodge of chaos space marine, MK7 loyalists, and Great Crusade era armors. They where all also turned into Wulfen due to the powers of Chaos speeing up their transformation.
Thinking quickly, tabletop tactics quickly improvises some space wolves using nothing more than khorne berserkers, assault intersessors, chaos legionaries, mark vi marines, and 3 types of space wolves.
Too many kits? At this point I’m making entire squads of CSM from over a 20 year collection of bits Got troops with pewter, Multiple shades of plastic, resin and new colour coded push fit (in one mini) When Primaris dropped all my firstborn kits went straight heretical.
Damn those old mark backpacks do *not* fit with Primaris lol. Old mark helmets too. At least the MKVI beaky. $80 for tiny parts, when you could have spent $30 for a primaris upgrade spru.. Pauldrons are solid though. CSM for SM just doesn't work, unless you go and shave off aaallllll of the chaos bits. Leaving any on is...Too not SM. Especially Space Puppies lol.
Love the idea but,( and I’m only being honest) they look ugly. I know u haven’t finished the models but using a lot more furs and dead animal bits could flavor them up more and don’t forget in space wolf codex each marine needs to be visually unique even if it’s small changes… just as long it’s noticeable. Also instead of a beaky you should use the wolf helmets found in first born kits.
I'd love to see a contempor or redemptor dreadnought version of murderfang. Also, a judiciar but instead of the chain attaching to a lantern, attach it to a wolf
My most expensive kitbashing was for a Siege Breaker consul for 30k. Ended up buying several FW kits to make it. The parts list included: Praevian: £24 Mk4 close combat box: £24 Mk4 Command squad: £30 (all I wanted was one arm!) If I wanted to buy the model's backpack, it would have been another £14 and if I wanted to use the Night Lord Praetor head, that would have been another £24. As it was, I traded for those. Gotta love having a thriving 30k community! So, that would have been £116 for one infantry model, if I bought the kits separately. The model does look really good, though.
Really cool stuff, thank you for doing these videos so those of us who'll never own such kits can enjoy them too. For me the amount of vintage metal fantasy miniatures I can get with the price of one of these is just much more appealing, just recently bought a full army of Dwarf models from `87 to `04, around 100 metal models and a bunch of plastics, the price was around the same as this kit or maybe slightly more. Still, I love seeing these awesome FW models built by a pro too!

This is awesome, but also a harsh reminder of the world that used to be. Kid Bashan used to be one of my favorite parts of the hobby, but with GW and their increased prices I will never kit bash again. It is so unbelievably expensive, and just not worth it anymore. Their prices have killed my modeling desires.
I love kit bashing, just can't settle with a "standard" army that looks the same as everyone else's just painted differently. The only problem is, as folks are saying here, it's already so expensive just building a 'normal' army!
Custodes for a character or two? Bigger size (yay), can have a spear, Odin style for a character too? Iconography would need be changed, a backpack added, possibly change gauntlets and/boots?

Funny thing is ive used that power fist for kitbashing. No putty so instead i just smacked a big ass skull with wings from the guard command kit over the chaos symbol
I Took some old dark eldsr I think you got 16 in the box I used a single box of harlequins and a couple of extra swords + some green stuff Made 20 harlequins and a seer and troupe master

I love that the new chaos marines are scaled with primaris almost like they were supposed to be the new scaled marines and not a completely separate thing gotta love that space marine players are the olny people that can whine and cry so hard that an updated range gets turned into a separate faction
