great little video, bit of humour added to your Friday special.. Awesome bar, ps, the Red scooter above the pool table weights a tonne, took 5 of us to get that up there..... also, great place for Gin and Tonic....
Without tasting the food Geoff it's hard to score it, however it looked very nice and for £3 when normally it's about £12 in the U.K is a steal, I think the Mac Master has missed out on having a wonderful time with you in Thailand and would made for some epic viewing. Keep smiling Geoff
Another great video! Although these are brand new uploads, there’s a throwback remember-the-good-old-days vibe to them. It could be because you’re not using the latest model camera with stabilisation or gimbal (let alone overhead drone shots) but it still has the main ingredient that is Geoff’s cheerful commentary like we remember from years past. Don’t change and keep ‘em coming!
Hello Geoff Looked a nice portion of fish and chips there and for the money no one should grumble. Hope you keep the videos rolling and enjoy your time away 😊
£2.65 for fish and chips, tartare, peas of that quality is absolutely incredible. I had a good one in a pub in the North of Scotland not so long ago and it was £13.95 without drinks or anything else. Yes, staff costs, rent costs and general business operational costs are much cheaper in Thailand, but non local ingredients and things like malt vinegar or HP sauce aren't and honestly I'm amazed they can produce that quality and portion for 120 baht and still turn a profit. People that continually whine Thailand is far too experience these days are just cheap charlies. I had an absolutely beautiful massive feed in a very upscale hygienic food court in a mall in the heart of Bangkok and it was 140 baht - or 3 quid roughly - including a soda water.
Hi Geoff, Thanks for the Vlog like you enthusiastic personality the fish and chips look great I agree with you love crispy batter and crispy chips soft in the middle I als thought the mushy peas look a bit dry for me as well. I have to give a go when I arrive on the November 4th for 4 months touring around been Irish always had fish and chips on a Fridays usually made my my dear Mam. Only 23 sleeps to go But Who’s Counting 😂 Keep up the great work Cheers Irish Paul
looked lovely geoff i was taking the fish of your fork a well deserved 9 be definitely going there next trip to pats take care geoff and keep smiling beep beep all the best steve + nam
Looked delicious. Vinegar always before the salt. HP sauce is really nice, but when I was a youngster in London, we always had Daddies sauce, because that was cheaper and I still love Daddies sauce in Australia when I can find it, but very expensive. Have a great day.
Marquee was always the first bar i called into on arrival in Pattaya to see my good friend Charlie (R.I.P. mate, hope you're going well up there!!) never eaten there but that looked a cracking plateful for the price, i always say "ketchup for the kids, H.P. for the adults! KEEP SMILING Geoff
The Marquee Bar has stood the test of time, been in Pattaya for years, walked past many times though I am more of a rock music fan so never ventured in, the fish and chips looks good though
Just started following you Geoff and a great video and a great looking bar. I went to Pattaya last November and loved it. It’s great to see the sights and sounds again. Correct. Always vinegar first and then salt. But I prefer the daddies brown sauce. 👌
Since I couldn't smell it or taste it, I would give it a score of 8/10. Definitely vinegar 1st, then salt; preferably chicken salt. It was probably a cheap catfish or tilapia...we get one over here called "Basa," imported from Asia, and I won't touch it. Piece of fried cod over here in Sydney, usually costs about $8-$10 aud. Great video Geoff ! 🇦🇺👍 Jimbo.
I was gonna say the peas did look a bit dry. The fish looked nice and crisp with a beautiful color with nice succulent cod. Chips looked nice too. In general Thais are such good technical cooks that they can recreate any type of food really well. That's what I've found whenever I craved Western food and had it at a Thai restaurant in Thailand.
Hi Jeff I’m The Chippy man from Wales 🏴 talking with you at the marquee last week , didn’t fancy fish @ chips last week but sore some being served ye great value 👍👍👍👍😀😎
Looked great for the price, I paid £11.90 for fish, chips, peas and curry earlier in South Yorkshire. HP sauce with fish and chips - now I've seen it I'm going to have to try it.
@@psgnoobz2005 BBQ sauce on fish & chips? Wowzer, that sounds just as odd as Geoff using HP brown sauce here! To be honest I'm just happy with good old tartar sauce and salt & vinegar
@@geoffcarter the brown sauce had the consistency of genuine HP, and that i congratulate, as many times all over europe and uk cafes , ya get a very worn out bottle of whats said to be HP but comes outa the bottle faster than mee after a vindaloo . regards
Appreciate your efforts uploading these Geoff whilst on your holibobs! Thank you. Better than other vloggers who promise loads of videos then never do!
HP on chish'n'fips? Never done that as a Yorkshireman..... not a thing here, but wouldn't be averse to trying it. Looked great, Thais are obviously very passionate about their grub.....can't believe the price, amazing! Cheers for sharing. Top marks.
GC 10/10 fish and chips 10/10 don't forget there roast diners. Mate i am so happy that your back i wait eagerly for every video makes me smile all day.

Never eaten in the Marquee bar but I know it's got a good reputation especially for their Sunday roast. That fish & chips looked very good and what great value for money. You'd be paying those kind of prices just for the chips back in the UK.
I'd say 9 out of ten looking at it. However I'll reserve judgement until we go in November. Could be a ten. 😉❤️
Ah spoiler there. Mac master in Thailand …. ?

Yes! Vinegar on first as it disperses the oil/ fat..Are all the Scooter bars still open?

Marquee is our local bar when in patts, I'm a big ska/regae fan, also trench town bar along the street.
9 out of 10 for the scran it looked belting 👍
Looks a top gaff that Geoff and great scran. Chips look like they were frozen before cooked but for that price I wouldn't be worried.
Happy birthday Geoff have a good one my friend 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍹🍺🎉💜👍

Bloody hell Geoff cant get over price of that fish and chips, looks beltin, the marqee bar is right up my street, love all that xx❤

Fish chips mushy peas and..... parsley sauce... with a thick slice of crusty bread and butter. Made in Sheffield.
I walk past there every day, never knew they did fish and chips for such a great price.
Hi Jeff I’m The Chippy man from Wales 🏴 talking with you at the marquee last week , didn’t fancy fish @ chips last week but sore some being served ye great value 👍👍👍👍😀😎
Cheers Colin. Bet your fish n chips are better in Wales 🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴

So happy watch you! Great entertainment Geoff! Keep Smiling😂
I'd rather tomato ketchup than brown sauce on fish & chips. That was different Geoff. Glad you enjoyed love ❤
We are all different 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'd pass on ketchup as I don't like it grab some bbq sauce and hell yeh I'm happy
@@psgnoobz2005 BBQ sauce on fish & chips? Wowzer, that sounds just as odd as Geoff using HP brown sauce here! To be honest I'm just happy with good old tartar sauce and salt & vinegar

Looks absolutely delish. For that price, you can't go wrong. I agree with you 9 out of 10
Appreciate your efforts uploading these Geoff whilst on your holibobs! Thank you. Better than other vloggers who promise loads of videos then never do!
Great feed,
Cheers mate,
Great video Geoff enjoy Thailand the curry sauce was missing .😂
I put the salt first so the vinegar washes it down.
Big question is what type of fish? For that price had to be Pangasius which I would not touch, Cod and chip around that area usually around B280/300
John Dory 🐠
Wife and I have had a meal's there before, all good and cheap. Drinks a good price too
I use it regularly and enjoy good service and value and same with their Sunday roast.
HP on chish'n'fips? Never done that as a Yorkshireman..... not a thing here, but wouldn't be averse to trying it. Looked great, Thais are obviously very passionate about their grub.....can't believe the price, amazing! Cheers for sharing. Top marks.
