mine might be a bit untraditional since I'm self employed and have a sporadic salary, but I have automatic deposits every month of the minimum amount that I'm comfortable with contributing. if I had extra left over after all of my fixed expenses and monthly costs, I'll add more to my savings and investments
Either your earmuffs are abnormally large, or you have a really tiny head. 😂 I lived in the W. Village in my 20's and made pretty decent money at the time. When I left NYC in my thirties, I don't think I had much money left over. Moral of the story: Don't be like me. There are so many "normal" things in NYC that aren't normal anywhere else.

So roughly total yearly expenses are $62,000 per year. Thats pretty decent for single person in Queens.
curious, but how are you able to save up per month after all expenses? that's something i struggle with living in a big city myself.
