I really appreciate the added effort you made to make such a clean install. You take pride in your work and it shows. I have seen installs that look like a rabid coyote got a hold of the cables and furiously shook the wiring. They do not even use zip ties, run the cable to the cab through the door opening, and the button install is held in place with duct tape. Keep up the good work and showing the world that you do not need a, "professional," to get professional results.
I have air horns on my F150 (that I found out about after I bought it) and once I realized they were there, it's just my go-to. I've had people just start drifting into my lane, not paying attention, and half the time they don't even hear the regular horn. They hear the big daddy, and they get the fuck out of the way.
Great video! This is just my opinion but if someone is looking at these videos in the future, I truly believe that people really want to see right away what it sounds like. Maybe a honk honk in the beginning and then explain how to install it? 😊I always go through these videos and read the comments to see if someone posted a stamp so I can just jump to the good part lol thanks to the person that posted it!
Thank you, i just installed that horn, the instructions were crap, i was about to send back, then I saw your video, thanks i did exactly what you did and it all worked. Thanks
Nice job! Good voice work, solid explanation, the camera work is well done. Props to this guy for making a great do-it-yourself video on this horn (which is much louder almost all others).
Nice install, and a great price for those horns. But it's kind of a joke for the manufacturer to call those "train horns." They are nowhere near that loud. They're loud for a car, so that's cool. But true train horns are probably 50 times louder than that. I have some real train horns that came on a used car that I bought about 50 years ago, and they will make you lose control of all your bodily functions. They are unbelievably loud, as in, you can hear them from miles away loud. I guess that's why they're illegal in the U.S. (on a car, anyway).
Nice tip with the pick through the grommet thing. I've been spannering for a fair few years and I've never done that before. Thank you. I've got the same horn on my Range Rover Classic but with a tank and compressor.
Bro when you're running wires put it in split loom so it don't chafe and short on the frame. 1/4" for a couple small wires and 3/8" will fit most. Harbor Freight has the cheapest I've found
I would love to hear a follow up. I had one of these but the direct drive compressor went out. Opted for a more expensive unit. Its worth it to me, but can't say its for everyone. I wonder if mounting the compressor in a PVC tube for protection may help ? Just my 2 cents.
Spent close to 1k on my hornblasters . Maybe the most awesome purchase I’ve made as far as my vehicle I tried five or 6 different cheap horns just to be let down . The difference is incredible worth every penny

Hello, i have the wires all connected and it is set to go off with my horn, but when I press it down the relay clicks but compressor doesn’t turn on. Any ideas?
Hey buddy what’s up. I’m in Miami and I see you are from here as well. I’m looking to buy some similar train horns with small compressor like the ones you install. Wanted to know if you could install them for me.
I have the same one and it just says to not go longer than what they give you which is like 20 inches otherwise they say it will affect the performance. Hope this helps
I didn't get any wire with the horn I got just screws trumpet plastic tube and compressor. Not happy I will have to go and get extra parts to install it
Ok i have a question 🤔 if "someone" would wire 4 of them to the same 12 volt wire thats meant togo to the stock horn would is power all 4 of them? Asking for a friend lol
Is there a reason I can't plug this in using the preexisting wiring in my truck? I'm not electrical savvy but assuming it's 12 volts it looks like I can plug the wires straight in from the old horn.
Probablly not the best place to position it with all the water that hits the front of a car .The compresser is gonna die if it hasn't allready as the electrical connections are exposed and the compressor needs to suck in clean air i put them vertically and up near the battery, the horn itself should aim downwards slightlly to reduce water ingress. My old air horns still going strong after years although i very rarelly used them ...
hey thinking about buying this. Im curious if you've had any troubles since the installation. Some reviews say that the compressor dies after a while. Did you find this true? thanks
Did you really ground everything through your PLASTIC overflow tank? Not to mention your relay is right in the front of your grill. Its not even mounted to protect from vibration and debris but its also gonna get wet. I understand that it works but its very prone to failure from what I can see.
There's no such thing as a "300 decibel train horn". At 300 decibels, you would literally die from blown out eardrums and ruptured organs. The human body has a threshold pain at around 180-200 decibels.
I bought an aluminum momentary switch on Amazon if a switch has 5 pins on the back that means it’s got LEDs you can hook up to turn on when the switch is in the in position
@@KevinToraya damn i was hoping the led would stay on constantly lol. Not just when i press it, but thanks i got some work to do 😅 first time doing any wiring job
You can but I wanted a separate button altogether to have the option of the regular horn. Now that being said you can switch the ground for the train horn and still use the steering wheel and you’ll be able to have either just the stock horn or both the stock and train horn at the same time.
@@KevinToraya Ok, Im wanting to remove the stock horn and just use the AIr horn only with the stock wiring and horn on the steering wheel. Cool deal thanks!

lol im just gonna splice it into my normal horn wiring harness so that all the horns go off at the same time
Right, who uses horns on a regular basis anyways..

Looks good but the relay switch wires should of been facing downwards to avoiod water getting in not upwards.
you want to have the Rear of the horn higher than the front and so condensation can run out and not stuff up the horn
How is the horn holding up and would you recommend it?
You did a clean job bro of setting the horn up. Everything in your truck is clean...good job.

Just did mine. 100% recommend.

Can you reply with a link for the horn please?
A train horn i recommend is a Nathan Sandcast K5H or a Nathan K5LLA. they have multiple chimes.
you want the fuse as close to the battery as possible.......you should have soldered the blue wire in first
why not just cut the wire from your original horn? or get a plug for that og horn plug it conncts to?
Very clean job but do you think a plastic overflow tank is the best ground ?
Its not but I figured the bolt would be sufficient for the current being pulled
I would love to know how you wired the switch if you have a little more information
Can you put what switch you’re gnna end up using I wanna wire it to a switch as well and don’t know what to get! Thanks!
I just purchased the same horn. Should I mount the compressor in a vertical position?

I mounted it horizontally I don’t think it’ll cause any issues
