Defensive motorcycle riding sometimes is not enough. My Denali horn has saved me a few times now. Money well spent for sure. Just ordered another one for my new bike as the old one got traded in for a new bike. Five years with no issues. This sucker is LOUD!
It's a winner. Mounted one on my V-Strom 1050XT and it sounds more or less like a Mercedes. Gives you an equal footing on the street when car drivers get out of line.
Great video! One thing to mention is that, the Decibels scale is non linear, meaning, a 10db increment is different from where you measure that increment from. These things are loud!
I think the SoundBomb Original would be a good replacement in my Jeep Grand Cherokee. I'll definitely look in to it, because it will be close to twice as loud as what the Jeep came with for a horn..
Great Video! I have the Sound Bomb original on my 2021Yamaha Super Tenere mounted with the bike specific bracket. It is really LOUD alerting other motorists when needed!
I ride a Triumph Rocket GT 22 and I think the standard horn is pretty limp. I was going to buy the Danali Sound bomb mini, but the test in this video made the difference between it and a standard horn seem minor. Thank you for the vid none the less, because I learnt more about power requirements for different units, and that a power relay must be some sort of booster/amplifier.
@@andrewscarlett2225 I did end up with the Denali mini sound bomb. I installed it myself, but it's really squashed in, and the echo chamber should be facing out. Mines facing in. Sound is louder but not obnoxious, and there's a screw on the side that might make a difference. Safe riding.
Glad to hear how it sounds. I bought the sound bomb 1 piece for my 2021 street bob, it came with no instruction manual at all so now i can see how to wire it up. Denali, Fiamm or Hella, which is the loudest. I am looking for the loudest electric not AIR horn worth a separate compressor with tubing. Cadillac used to have a "5" electric horn set up. Tones A, B, D, F and a small like 9" trumpet. That was not quite like a train, but it was loud. Also, I assume you used a Dialdim controller for the D4's? what mount is that as well? Another thing I would love to add to my Chieftain instead of buying Indian lights.
We will feature the Indian setup in a future video giving all of the details of the install. We used the DialDim with the D4s on our crash bar mount. Keep an eye out for that video in the coming weeks!
I would say the sound bomb original is the ideal horn for a John Deere 12 wheeled articulated tractor or any large ag tractor over the factory Hella disc horn because of the monstrous size of the big machine. It beats screaming any day.
Great demonstration! The driving lights on the Indian flashed when used that split. Is that a feature to help be seen? Or because the bike wasn't on and the extra draw on the battery?
I know your comment is old but it's due to the voltage drop from using the horn and having the lights turned on without the power source being charged. It's the same concept as when you have a 12in sub in your car and the lights dim when the really hard bass hits, there isn't enough juice so everything on that circuit is getting a little less than it optimally wants.
Please tell me which flat bracket you used to mount the compressor that's on your website for ordering? Also, so you have a bracket available for the horn section? I have a 2023 Indian Pursuit, which is set up just like the Challenger in this video.
For a 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport SV, what one would you recommend? I know I will need a relay and that would take the place of the existing horn so that it can allow power to the horn without overloading the vehicle's horn circuit. I can even tell that some low strength LocTite (the weakest one) would be helpful to keep any horn from vibrating off. Just make sure that it doesn't interfere with the ground of the horn or it might not work. It is like a glue or plastic.
Depending on where you mount it, the Original or Split would be a good choice. If you you have the room to mount it, the original is less complex and produces the same sound.
