I lived the majority of my life in the U.P. from Republic to Calumet to Marquette/Gwinn. Lived on base for about 10 yrs...my son grew up in the U.P. We unfortunately moved to South Carolina in 2015 and miss home dearly. When I came across your videos and found out you love Ian Skandia, it made my absolute year! It gives me a sense of happiness and smile to see home. You guys are awesome! 😊
Your Clyde's are beautiful. Love your farm and your chickens and the hundreds of eggs you must collect in a day. Sounds like you have an amazing poultry business. I also love your dogs. At 79yrs. old, farm life has always been in my heart. God's blessings for all your hard work and your love of it all. Diane
I am from Grand Rapids area. I didn't know you all were Michiganders too. You are so wonderful and kind. Thank you for sharing. I love Clydesdales and have 2 labs.
Heather my Grandpa would be so proud of your chickens and set up!! He was a chicken farmer all his life in Southern California. He loved his chickens! ❤ I keep saying one day I’m having chickens!! Love your beautiful family! God bless you always
My old house used to be a chicken farm. I could grow anything in that dirt! That chicken poop is the best for growing things. My veggies and flowers were huge! I sure miss my dirt.
Heather, I so so much enjoyed the tour of the farm!! We have a few chickens but nothing like y’all do!! The horses are gorgeous!! You and your husband have a lot to look forward to when your children get married (like Haley) and you have a lot of grandchildren! You will never know how wonderful it is to have grandchildren!! It’s a completely different kind of Love. Love how everyone works together! Take care and God bless all of you!! ❤
We got 100 baby chicks every summer. I would take them out of the cardboard crate that they were delivered in one at a time. Dip their beak in the water for their first drink, then set them down by the feeder. So chicken chores were always a thing, you locked the door at night, opened it up in the morning. Plus all the feeding, water, and just checking to make sure they are healthy. So also know how to dress chickens, process, cook them or put them in the freezer. We raised our own beef and pork also. Big family on the farm.
Heather, I’m so envious! You have my dream life! God Bless You All! Yes, As I do, Keep counting your many blessings! You are now my very favorite channel! Hugs from Grammy Lorraine, Southern New Jersey!❤️🤗🙏
Thanks for sharing your horses and chickens and family. It is so interesting to also see the farm part. Growing up a friend of mine lived on a chicken farm. Lots of work but I always liked helping them. You have a wonderful family & farm
I love how she says, Hello. So softly, so sweetly. I have no idea where you find the time to cook when you are out there helping the family with the chores, etc. ❤
Love seeing the Clydesdale horses I used to ride at my local therapeutic riding center and they had two Clydesdale horses that were brothers. Their names were Bill and Bob.
Thank you for the tour! Did ask if you sold your chicken manure, glad to hear you are sustainable and use it on your fields, your garden, etc. The egg business is wonderful that your farm is able to supply to all those businesses including the college! If the college has a culinary program, great that the students would have farm fresh eggs to cook, bake are learn with! God provides and is so good! 😊❤
Wow! You and your children put a lot of love and care into the chicken barn. Beautiful horses! 🐎 Cute dogs! Thanks for sharing a day on the farm with us.
You and your babies are so awesome I enjoy watching your videos of your farm when you prepare food when you talk about your cookbook you're an awesome lady I don't know how you do with so many people that you cook for and clean and what not
Love The Bells!! She is so uplifting and kind and fun.. How exciting her life is!!! Love your property in Michigan, how beautiful..... Keep up the great posting...❤❤❤❤..
Oh how I miss Michigan... My grandma still lives on UofM campus, Dexter Ave. I hope we never lose that house, my dad & uncle have discussed selling it if she passes, turns 91 this year. So hopefully she sticks around longer... Thank you for the tour
I grew up on a farm and didn’t really appreciate it like I should. Now I wish I could go back. I live in the country and love it, reminds me of the farm sometimes ❤️😊
I love your farm. Would love to come and play hahah, love from Florida 😉🤗🌞 I’ve always loved chickens and I finally talked my husband and teen sons into building a coop a lil over a year ago once the city here approved our 5 hens lol. So I have 4 girls and just love them. They hear my voice and come running- there so sweet and friendly 💖🐣🐔
How can you tell if one of your chickens are ill or passed away? Do the other chickens leave them alone when that happens? When the chickens go out in the Spring do they go back in at night? How to you gather all them up if you do? What happens if it storms when they are outside? Are you worried about Coyotes? I'm sorry about all the questions. It's so fascinating to me.
You and your husband are absolutely amazing You opened your Hearts and home and now you have a beautiful family that are so precious God bless you and your beautiful Family ❤️🙏

I love seeing this video. Great idea Luke, it was definitely a "culture" shock because I grew up in the islands and my dad was a small scale paniolo (Hawaiian cowboy) meaning the largest animals we raised were pigs, lol. I never imagined how hard it would be for people raising animals in the snow. Thank you Heather for being open to his suggestions ❤

Heather You are literally living the life that I alway’s dreamed about. I love how you are sharing your life it’s so Beautiful how much I wish that I had a chance to meet a farmer who would love the same kind of life that I wanted. But I met a guy who is a businessman who likes a lot of the same things that I had in common. But his family weren’t outside, camping or even walking in the woods at my Mom’s house he got a bug in his eye and you thought he was being eaten by a Big Bear 😂. Before I knew him I tried so hard to find a Great man who would love the outside world like me, for 10 Year’s I would go out with my friends and every weekend I would drive Up State to my Mom’s & Step Dad’s house. It was a 5 hour drive from Long Island NY, to Up State but you have my all time favorite life. I love all of your animals the horses are my favorites I’m in so much Love with your Clydesdales horses❤ My Very Favorite Breed ❤ every time that I get a chance to ride a Clydesdale or really any breed I go riding my life growing up my Grandpa always would love to see me riding a horse because I loved riding horses. My Grandma alway’s spoiled me and my Grandpa to gave me a lot of things. If I ever won the lottery I would pick a different life for the next 50 Year’s or pay an Amish family to live a life like yours for a while. But I don’t know if my health would have limited work to do. But I haven’t won the lottery yet so God only know’s. ❤🙏🏼🥰💖🙏🏼💞💓💖💞💓💖🙏🏼 God Bless you and your Family 🙏🏼

I love your videos. We recently found my grandfather's will from the 1930s. He listed 50 pullets, 3 cows, 4 goats, 1 horse and 2 mules.
