- It’s a tradition that whenever the kids have a snow day or we have a snowstorm, Noah and I make a huge breakfast. He is usually in charge of the pancakes, Izzy is in charge of the fruit, and I am in charge of the eggs, bacon, and biscuits and gravy.
We got up Hailey and Joshua went to the barn to wash eggs and then Izzy took care of all of the horses because my husband and David headed over to the church because we are building a new church and they are trying to finish up the drywall. And Noah went outside and shoveled the front and back. Sidewalks and porches. Well, I started breakfast.
Two days ago it was 60° and sunny with no snow on the ground and then the next day 6 inches and only 15°. Now today it was 40° and the sun is shining. But that’s just what it’s like living up north in Michigan.

Never cut in the butter after adding the liquid, then you may overwork the mixture cutting in the butter after adding the liquid. Over mixing makes for tough biscuits, just fyi. 😊❤

My mom and I love snow days!!! Having everyone home and everything you need and just enjoying the day is so nice!!! My mom and I live together in a tiny apartment, and before a storm, we stock up on everything we need. The rest of the day is baking, cuddling with our blankets on our love seat, watching movies, playing all kinds of various games (board games, tabletop games, video games, card games, etc.).

You all are wonderful to share with us all that you do. I come form a big "melded" family we would have a big breakfast on the weekends now that we are all grown and living all over the states we don't have them but we do have our memories. ❤ to all.

Both my parents would spoil my siblings and I. My dad would tell me, you will still be my baby at 80 yrs old. Sadly they are both gone. I love the way you spoil your children. I mean that in a good way. May GOD continue blessing you and yours always.

Down here in the south we let the flour cook a little longer until it starts turning dark golden. It gives the flour time to cook in the sausage oil a little bit. I also use milk but I put one can of evaporated milk in mine. Love your videos. ❤

Wow! This weather has been absolutely nuts this year. I'm in upstate New York where it's usually snowing this time of year, but we've had 60s today. It's supposed to be 60 again, but at night. It drafts down until like the 30s. So it's awesome. Pretty much all day long like a fresh Spring day. And then you go out early in the morning to let the dog out. And you run back into fast because you are freezing to death. LOL! Praying that all of your family. It has to be out there in this mess. Stays safe and found it is scary. The last storm big storm we had was ice and then snow. And then more icy rain after that. And then the worst part is when it Starts to melt then during the day, then it gets freezing cold at night again, then it turns into another sheet device which is worse than the snow. Especially that kind of race and if you get snow on top of it, and it's the other dangerous thing you get snow you're ice than yet snow, and you don't expect her to be ice into the snow and you go walking outside. You gotta be careful. The joys of living in the north of the united states! Stayell Safe Bìell family.!
Did you put yeast in the biscuits that I did not see or you did not say? If not, no need to knead if no yeast. Again, the more you handle the dough, the tougher the biscuits, still a kind fyi.😊❤

❤ Great episode! I’ve never made sausage gravy 👩🏼🍳, so I’ll try it w/ Jimmy Dean Sage sausage. I make chipped beef w/ gravy, so I guess it’s similar. I add a few drops of “Kitchen Bouquet” in the gravy. (it’s browning additive).

Can you tell me why their enclosure is full of gaps. It’s probably just as cold in there as it is outside. Thanks for teaching!!!

Planes can’t hold on waiting to see if people might show up, others on plane have connecting flights and is that really fair for them to potentially miss their flight because someone was sleeping. And why didn’t his girlfriend wake him up before she got on the flight.

I used to love when back in the day my kids had snow days. ( Chicago suburbs)Making breakfast, staying in pj's or comfy clothes. Maybe all of us baking something together. It's not like that these days since covid ( when my granddaughter has a snow day they do remote learning)

Season the castiron with a light coding of oil. That helps with the sticking, about three times maybe four, depending on how big you castiron pan is. The heat should be high on it too,just be careful when your doing it. Its just like when you prep your grill and or outside griddle or flat griddle with the high smoke point an just a touch an or a little bit of oil cooking oil vegetable oil or olive oil, or whatever you would want to use an just spread it out evenly wait a few minutes an then do another cout.

I like the jumbo eggs but you can’t find them in the store anymore. The jumbo eggs sometimes has a double yolk and they are considered good luck❤. Great job Izzy’s telling us how you feed the horses. I love the Clydesdale horses.

Please tell us, one day, about raising all the children from the time you adopted. How many children had you adopted when you had Gideon? My oldest brother married a Catholic girl years ago and for unknown reason she could not conceive. Later they had a beautiful boy. God sends messages we do not see at times. After the baby, my brother came down with severe arthritic. He later died from cortisone intake. At that time, long term effects of cortisone was not known. It ate him up inside, because of long term usage.
