Thank you. Yes it was a large purchase for us, but it will be worth it I will hopefully be having some drone footage on the next shopping intro!!! Super excited
Your video was great thr scenery when you going to get your shopping was amazing In England we just don't get that much snow looking forward to your next trip
Oh thank you!! Glad you enjoyed it. Plenty more coming your way with our drone hopefully! We are still figuring that out .... Take care and thanks for watching us!!
I enjoy this family cause they get what they get and not over do it. But once in a while they get an extra treat or drink or etc not plan for . Compared to most you tube families
Well thank you. Glad you enjoy our shopping videos. We try to teach our kids to only get what you need...but like you said every once in a while ....a treat is nice!
Thanks Cathy! We are absolutely loving the Firman dual fuel generator and the drone. I made fried potatoes with cheese on the wood stove for dinner after we baked brownies inside the wood stove! Busy day of cooking on the wood stove and routering birch boards...! Good day today for progress
@ I’m so happy for you all. You have sure kept this old lady entertained. Everyone works so hard and well together . I appreciate your videos . Looking forward to the drone videos. It’s great your using the wood stove for cooking saves on the gas . Every penny saved helps out
Hello I wish I was there I would have bought that drone and generator that’s for sure I love your channel and videos here from Ontario Canada ❤️❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦🇨🇦😎
Oh my, you have no idea.... He has " rules". No open drinks, and pick up your wrappers when you get out of the truck....! It's great though. Hey his truck is always clean and for a 17 year old boy, I am impressed!! Thanks for watching us!
Oh thank you. He is actually very outspoken...now he gets a bit shy in public though. He is our family self taught mechanic. He is 17 and can fix any small engine by himself... it's quite amazing. We are so lucky. If you watch our other homestead channel you will know we live off grid by choice. He fixes and maintains all our generators, blowers, lawn mowers, and just wired some lights on our green plow truck! We are soooo appreciative of him. He is a wonderful kid and takes good care of Mom & Dad ..which is everything as we get older...! Thanks for watching us. More snow later this week
I think this is the first time I’ve ridden with you where Brady is driving. I did not miss that dirty slush.🤣 I saw Boboli pizza there. Oh, I thought you were holding off on the drone. Thank you.
Hey there!! I pondered on it at Costco and the kids convinced me to get it because we have wanted one since last year! Glad we bought it because it's amazing. We can actually see our entire property now! On our new homestead video released today at the end of the video you will see us use it for the first time. It also has a drone clip in the intro.... Thanks for watching us! Hope all is well
I’m jealous of your ability to shop at Costco!! I live in Hoonah and we have one grocery store in the village. We can do Instacart by plane when the weather is good, but that gets pretty pricey too. Take care.
Oh wow Hoonah!! That is very remote.... Yes trust me I very much appreciate being connected to the road system. We do live remote but not like you!!! I think that's awesome where you live. Thanks for watching us!!!
Thanks for sharing, do you ever have to worry about things freezing on the way home? Just noticed the bread bags on the top of the cart they looked cold.🥶
So we only worry about freezing when things get left outside. We have an outside freezer we use as a" fridge " so sometimes things like sour cream or milk will freeze. We don't have power so we don't have a fridge inside the cabin. It's for sure a temperature juggling act in the winter! Good question though
Geeeez. Sounds like some of your viewer's are getting a little pushy with their comments 😮. Love seeing your family is just like every other family, well, almost, yours' is much better, in my opinion , 😊❤
Oh well, it comes with the turf and it's ok... Some are honestly just curious and they want explanations. I do delete the ridiculous comments It's ok. Everyone is different...we are absolutely loving the drone and the generator!!!
They are the family favorite!!!! We absolutely love them!!! If it was you that recommended them....thank you!!! Tasty healthy treat for sure and most importantly lots of fiber....!
Hello there!! So because it's so cold now, nothing warms up basically. It's like a constant fridge. I guess that's a good thing because nothing spoils in transit...now in the summer it's a bit different In winter sometimes you have to cover things up so they don't freeze, it's crazy here!
@ShoppinginAlaska I wasn't sure if you hauled it in the cold on the back of your truck or inside it. I was thinking of how people have heat on in their vehicles. I'm glad you don't have to worry about it. I saw another homesteader there that had to take coolers. It was a lot to unload.
Well I think it smells decent... I don't buy detergent with harsh smells or colors because it has lots of toxic ingredients in it. I have read those types of detergents can have chemicals that can disrupt hormones, formaldehyde?, just crazy bad to be in contact with skin all day long .. I really just need to make my own with lavender oil and borax or something very non toxic and neutral
@ShoppinginAlaska Especially if it cracks across your view. Well, in our state it does. If it's just a nick, they fill it to keep it from spreading. Check into it.
We did have 7 chickens. We rehomed them this summer to a family because we were gone so much working off the property. (We were worried predators would get them) We may get some in the spring again if we feel like they would be safe here. Good question though
There is a drone shown on that Costco trip that we bought. We show it in use on our other YT channel.... @alaskan6pack Homestead Living Alaska Check it out Hopefully that answers your question? Thanks for watching us!!
I randomly found the ginger chews at an Amish store. Your right- the lemon ones are AMAZING!! I also grabbed the blood orange flavor and they are just as good.
I don't know if you guys have dollar tree up in Alaska but they have the Prince of Peace ginger chews at Dollar Tree.. it's a 2 oz package I always buy 8 that makes it a pound and it comes to just under $10 just thought I'd let you know.. I'm also the same way about my windshield it has to be clean but I'm also retired truck driver after 26 years I buy my windshield washer fluid by the case usually from tractor supply or family farm and home when it's on sale for 99 cents a a gallon a couple times a year. And here's a great tip you can go to any auto supply store or Walmart and by what's called a chip kit for your windshield if you catch them when it first happens they will not spread.. Basically it's a pad that you put over the chip with a hole in it and then you insert a plunger with a super hard super glue epoxy blend push down on the plunger to get it to cover the chip and fill any micro cracks then you wait for a little bit take the pad off and you can use like a flat razor blade in clean it up you can just barely if at all see where the chip was when you're done.. I have one in every single vehicle the only downside is you have to do it when it's warmer out.. or for future reference if you go to Safelite they do it for like 50 bucks and they guarantee it if it's starts to spread they will replace windshield for free
Oh wow, this is all such great information!!! Thank you for taking the time to let us know this ...I am unsure about Dollar Tree... haven't seen those yet here. When we lived in Oregon a long time ago, those stores were everywhere. Limited stores up here for sure! We love our ginger chews, so much better for you than a candy bar! Plus there are health benefits of ginger too Good tip about the window chip kit. We will look into that. Makes sense and what a preventative tool!! Thanks for watching us More snow later this week We are absolutely loving our dual fuel generator so far...we have been running it on propane.
Yes, good point. As you probably know we live off the grid in a dry cabin. So I was cooking with a small propane oven in the cabin with a hood, but we just got so sick of the fumes ..so now I am officially cooking everything (on top of or in) my blaze king wood stove. I am learning how to cook so many different meals in or in it, very fun but challenging!!!! Bread is next. We are now baking my homemade brownies in the wood stove, we have found a way ...!!! So I guess it's a learning curve for sure Thanks for watching us!!! New video out soon!
I Never Understood Why People Throw, Toss, Shove and are Just Plain Rough When Putting Grocerys Into Their Baskets. You "Children" are No Diffferent!! Especially The "Daughter"!! Rough as Hell!! What is Up with That?? WOW!!
Hey that's a good point and I will do my best to explain it. I think when you live in the woods like us you have to be scrappy. We are bucking up wood all day, we raised 500 LB hogs last year, we haul water in the cabin, we live a lifestyle that seems like it's always requiring " strength" of some sort or another. So I think when we shop and handle groceries our bodies are still used to that ... I am unsure if you have ever lived off grid but it's a different mind set and your body follows the requirements. We will try to be more aware next time ....hey they are only groceries -not huge spruce logs so good point! Thanks for watching us!!
What the hell IS wrong with you, Karen? 😂 Acting Like a psycho WITCH. See a shrink or simply Shut the fuck Up, bitch. The stuff is packaged Well enough to survive shipping . It can handle being dropped in the basket Just fine
If you’re gonna buy salt by Celtic salt, it’s much more healthier for you and it has minerals that you need to the point where you can mix it with water and drink it
Why are you guys buying flour tortillas when you can make them yourself all you need is the press which is like nine dollars and English muffins you can make them just as easy as the tortillas I make them all the time and they taste better and they’re better for you than the store brandbull crap in it
You are 100 percent correct there. I made homemade tortillas last year with our hogs lard. They were amazing What fat do you blend in for tortillas if any? I can google how to make English muffins We cook 100 percent on my wood stove , so sometimes certain items can be a challenge. I am hoping to get a wood cook stove next year eventually
Well maybe they don't have time to make them you know a lot of people yeah we can make everything homemade but a lot of times people don't have the time to make stuff homemade you know what I'm saying
I mean it's just kind of rude in a way to say to people why are you buying this you don't know what goes on in their life they may not have time to make tortillas in English muffins with kids and everything else maybe you have the time but they may not have the time
@ excuse me I work a full-time job in the medical field and I’m out of the house by 7 o’clock in the morning and I don’t get home until seven at night and work at 12 hour shift and I have kids to No I don’t have time to make that stuff I make time on the weekend to make it and put it in the freezer so excuse me, I wasn’t being rude. I just simply asked a question. Since they were living on a Homestead, trying to make a better life so if anything you’re rude.
It is great you get this time together and accomplish so much.
Oh well thank you. Jeff and I really enjoy our 4 kids. They grow up so fast!!!
