1958 Ford Fairlane Skyliner Retractable

Check out this spectacular 1958 Ford Fairlane Skyliner with Retractable Hardtop! This Skyliner has undergone a complete frame off restoration done by RM in Canada prior to them becoming an auction house. RM was at that time, the premier restoration facility in Eastern North America. The paint and body still look like it was done last week. The previous owner has owned this beauty for well over 30 years. The interior is in spectacular condition, and was fitted with custom, clear plastic covers to not only preserve the material but the let it show. The engine is its original numbers matching 352ci V8 and it was just recently rebuilt to stock specs and runs like a top. Tied together with the numbers matching engine is the Cruise - O - Matic automatic transmission. The car was very highly optioned when it was new and is equipped with power steering and power brakes. The Skyliner top was just rebuilt in 2017 and works flawlessly. It works perfectly both up and down and all the components were either replaced or rebuilt, so they are like new. With the restoration being a frame-off, the undercarriage was restored as well as anything that required replacement or rebuild. That is beautiful , I actually got to own one , not near that nice , but I was 17 , bought it for 175.00 , not running , got it all running , it had the 352 interceptor special , 300 hp , Cruze o matic trans , 2.69 rear end ,, I was a young guy then n that car , no modifications , foot on the floor would do 65 in 1st , 105 in 2nd , n bury the speedometer in third , excess of 135 ,,, n it kept on going !! That is correct on everything I see on that car , including power windows n power steering ,, correct valve covers n air cleaner , BUT , the engine was a light green originally ,,
