My old man had a 1956 Packard back in the mid 60s. It was light blue and just like the one in your video. The coolest thing about it was the 'automatic' shocks. My brother and I would get in the car just to feel the back seat rise up all by itself. Ahead of it's time like the Studebaker.

In 71, I owned a 64 Olds Jet Star 1. It rode like a dream, had power out the wazoo, came with dual glass packs from the factory, bucket seats and an automatic on the center console, a large back seat, and a posi rearend made it go great in the snow. But at 70mph, it wasn't fond of curves and if you got it fishtailing, that big a$$ wanted to switch ends. And, it liked to be fed.....often. But all in all, it was and still is, one of my favorite car memories.

Mostly Hogwash here, prime example you will not find a 64 Ford Galaxy 427 dual quad 4 speed car for that kind of money even if it’s in sad condition. Nor the Corvair, Mercury Monterey, or anything else in the video unless it’s a worn out POS - The Cadillac example is one of those you don’t want because of all the engine problems they had. The Rambler maybe, but it’s not going to be a fully restored red convertible! The funniest thing is they show all showroom condition cars for under 10 grand, that’s only if grandma is selling and has no idea what she has and no one to let her know the value !!!!

And the '79 Dodge Magnum, lol. The last great '70's car was probably the '74 T/A Super Duty. I also loved my '70 Buick GS 350 that was fully loaded even with bucket seats which I have yet to see in person on any other GS Skylark including the 455's.

No way in hell can you get any of these cars under 10k.
Btw, I have a nice 68 cougar project car for sale for $7500. Totally disassembled, so you have to put all back together again.

I wouldn't even get my wallet out of my jeans for any of these. Give me a Duster with a slant six and zero mods over this lot, but I guess something that original goes for top dollar in this crazy market. I miss the warm 360 in my 69 Dart, but I sure as hell dont miss the fuel bill - the slant six was a reliable old gem of a motor.

Yeah this is kind of a click bait video. There are some cars from the 60's or early 70's available for under $10,000 but many of the cars shown in the condition shown are WAY beyond that. Attractive and restored two door hardtops with big V8 engines from that era are typically not affordable for people on a budget. The air cooled Corvair shown would be a possibility, and the later cars like the Allante are available in that price range, but if you want a performance vehicle from the 60's you can more or less forget it. Your best bet is to look at four door sedans or compacts like the 6 cylinder Rambler shown. They shouldn't be dismissed, as they are good cars.

I had a 63 Ford 4 door V8. I remember rolling into the Waffle House in the winter when it was freezing outside and when I hit the breaks all four doors would open. I’d be the only one to get out 😂 Then I’d have to go around and close all of the doors 🤪
