    just started testing this build in HoT content and I gotta say it feels awesome being able to solo that stupid frog, or that bat or even that mushroom queen thingy. Thanks mang! Although I must say this is very far from the low intensity builds i've grown used to, like a power Reaper or soemthing. but that's a good thing , i feel pumped playing again!

      Yeah the value of Storm Spirit on 20 second cooldown is really big!

    Interesting. I personally prefer running Let Loose because I really like the focus on Ambush Skills and Qucickness for Allies as well, but booooi is Restorative Strikes some insane healing together with Life Steal from Ambushing.

    • @WilstormGaming

      Yeah RS is actually bonkas healing it's crazy, literally 20,000 health healed in 1-2seconds sometimes... just huge healing spikes. But punching if you stuff up that 4 second window and you need to wait for the next.

      I run almost exact build with a few key differences. Celestial and viper mix + the staff and Let loose, doing 17k easy. The staff unleash skill makes you soooo survivable it's scary and I'm a staff nut so love the thematics. With axe axe wh I clear 19k but not as cool as the staff😅

With iboga (current top dps pet) i did 13k on the golem (no boon or condi) with damage split equally between me and my pet (like 42% - 40%). Yeah the new dagger goes well with Condi, throw in an axe, torch or shortbow and you've got a few options. Spike Trap for bleed + quickness proc, sun spirit for might, etc. I have tried this but I didn't like it as much, restorative strikes only works with strike damage so the healing wasn't nearly as potent on the condition build and I struggled much more with some of the harder legendary bounties like Rubedon

      Since this is mostly berserker gear you can literally just swap Restorative strikes to Ferocious Symbiosis and play dps in instances content. Similarly take Let Loose and you're a quick dps, though there are some strange interaction with let loose so I'd watch my video on quickness untamed for that one

    Could invigorating bond be used instead of nature’s vengeance?

    • @WilstormGaming
      @WilstormGaming  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You certainly could if you are looking for a more defensive option - but I don't think it's necessary.
      Nature's Vengeance is simply higher dps due to the extra slam from storm spirit, which also provides another instance of quickness from Enhancing Impact (Untamed tree).
      Invigorating bond loses that damage and quickness but gains some healing and defensive boons. It also seems to be inconsistent in the way it proceed for me (autocasted beast skills weren't activating it when I tested).
      Overall though I wouldn't recommend. I think restorative strikes gives enough healing and the value of damage and quickness is greater as a generalisation. Would only recommend if you really needed an extra defensive option but in that case I'd recommend just changing some of your stats first (few pieces of celestials for example).

    • @WilstormGaming
      @WilstormGaming  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The longbow absolutely still works with this build without changing anything. Or if you want you could swap out Nature Magic for Marksmanship (keep skirmishing!) and take hunters gaze, farsighted and lead the wind.
      With sigil of strength and hunters gaze you should still have plenty of might.

  • @wyldcard69

    Quick question, would you use F1 - F2 - F3 or reverse it as F3 is a combo field and F2 is a combo finisher?

    • @WilstormGaming
      @WilstormGaming  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To really min-max the combo effect you should go F1 > F3 > F2.
      F1 teleports your pet to the target, then F3 (field) and F2 (finisher). Poison Blast combo though only applies weakness so not a dps increase.

  • @seikii32
    @seikii32 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    wait how does Storm Spirit give quickness? I feel like I am missing something

    • @WilstormGaming
      @WilstormGaming  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In the untamed tree there is a trait called Enhancing Impact that I recommend which gives Quickness every time you disable an enemy (stun/daze/knockback/knockup etc) and so because Storm Spirirt dazes the enemy it triggers quickness.
      Then because Nature's Vengeance trait makes the storm spirit slam twice it will daze twice and therefore trigger quickness twice about 3 seconds apart

  • @MaselMMO
    @MaselMMO ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hi! Nice to see another fellow GW2 content creator :)
    I have a few constructive remarks about the build:
    1. I've had discussions with other content creators in the past on how build guides should be advertised. My personal stance is that one can never claim that a build is "the best open world build", because open world is multi-faceted. In pure solo gameplay, this is a very good build to play! If you do a group event where a lot of boons might be provided to you, this build would fall behind other options that build for less self-sustain, but that's still open world gameplay isn't it? Again, my point is not that this build isn't good, just that it is not "the best for open world". I get that many other content creators do the same (sigh), but there are several videos claiming to have the best untamed build for open world out right now and use different builds. They can't all be right can they?
    2. You suggest using celestial gear if one seeks more survivability, but there are way better ways to reach survivability in the game. Celestial is a bad prefix for power builds, as you waste a lot of the stats AND it costs a good chunk of money. You might want to look into -10% damage taken food and potions of karka toughness first (you're using lifesteal food, which looks like much, but it's neglectable for survivability). You'd be better off slotting the stone spirit for higher protection uptime and aegis, which is way more impactful and much cheaper than any gear change you could make.
    3. I'd also like to mention the availability of the relic of the cavalier paired with the skyscale engage skill (or any engage skill to a lesser degreee) and jade protocols, which are insane for self-boon coverage in general roaming. The relic can be used in story instances, the protocols cannot.
    As i said, just some options/remarks to consider.

    • @WilstormGaming
      @WilstormGaming  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Masel! I've watched a bunch of your stuff.
      Thanks for reaching out I appreciate any discussion/feedback. On your points:
      1. I agree overall this was definitely designed and aimed specifically as a Solo build not just Open world which could still apply to grouped open world content. I've even added Solo to the title because I think that's perfectly valid. As for the 'best' thing I agree in principle, but I am new to this so still finding the balance of intriguing titles that aren't misleading - with that said (bar minor changes) I do think overall this type of power Restorative Strikes build is the best untamed solo build right now. Ive tested lots with the condition variants and I think this is better... but yes there is always slight changes with relics/runes sigils etc.
      2. I do think celestial is still a very forgiving stat set for this build that still has enough power/precision/ferocity to heal you up combined with the increase in effective health pool. There's lots of alternatives like commander's for example or changing skills for stone spirit as you said but I think overall celestial will provide a more generalised 'jack of all trades' type build that I've played with and is very forgiving.
      3. Cavalier relic is definitely very good when moving around lots in and out of combat (roaming as you've said) but for extended solo fights ~3-5 min+ it's value drops off very quickly I think.

      @@WilstormGaming 1. no worries, it's all good. Seeing that you're new to this, the video is very well done and informative, not too long/to the point.
      As I said, I totally get that in a competition, one has to use the dynamics of the platform to one's own advantage, but I still think that its important to keep a certain standard. If you make a build guide, you have a kind of responsibility, since people will take what you say at face value if they don't know better. And overselling a build will eventually lead to people being disappointed because the build might not be able to deliver what is promised.
      What I like about you approach Here is that it's pragmatic and does not overoptimize for a niche scenario. It's focused on solo gameplay, but still quite easily adjusted for group content.
      2. Cele is mathematically not great for power builds, because you're not making use of condition damage and expertise really. A lot of healing on this build doesn't scale heavily with healing power, it scales with damage dealt (via restorative strikes). So reducing your damage by increasing survivability reduces survivability, if that makes sense.
      It also has enough vitality without cele, so it ultimately boils down to power, precision, ferocity and toughness. Toughness from cele is a minor gain compared to having higher protection uptime, and you can reach more power, precision and ferocity by using dps gear.
      If you want to have discussions about this stuff, I can recommend joining the gw2 discord. In the pve chat over there, we discuss a lot of these things.
      3. Yea definitely, just wanted to mention that it's always good to tell people that these options exist. Cavalier relic and jade protocols are insane if you know how to use them

    • @WilstormGaming
      @WilstormGaming  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Masel I value and appreciate the feedback. I agree celestial definitely is not optimal for a power build, although axes 2/3 benefit a little from conditions but overall it's just a generic stat blanket that kinda works for anything. I'll be keen to look more into prefixes like Commander's for Power/Precision/Toughness/Concentration for example. I'll join the discord, keen for more discussion around this stuff

      Yeah let's take 15 min with 0 boons instead of the usual 5 min, in a daily strike that we've all done at least 100 times, because people wanna play 3k dmg bearbow rangers instead.
      Playing in a group setting obliges you to do what's best for the group to succeed and accomplish their goals, otherwise why even play with other people. Instead you are now telling people that you don't respect their time. It's a fair tradeoff, to be expected to bring a decent build, for harder content.
