I very much appreciate that you showed and explained every skill and its usage within the build. So many people pumnping out builds forget about this, and for beginners to a class this is extremely helpful. So thanks for that! Great video :)
The opener I usually use on heal chrono if the encounter allows for it is staff4->staff3->staff5->mantra of recovery (granting flock barrier & the last needed clone)->swap->CS. During CS I will always dump all shatters while using Well of Action and Gravity Well if I have them, double tap scepter2, use one charge of heal mantra, then press shield5 and immediately end CS. Coming out of it I then press shield5 again right away which means two waves are in play at once, collecting them will lower the cooldown of Shield5 to 10 seconds so you can use it again quickly. This CS procedure bootstraps your boons very effectively including capping might.
That's a great tip using the Flock Relic and Mantra of Recovery before swapping to Scepter/Shield. One of the best things about Chrono is that it's incredibly flexible and you can tweak it to your liking.
Rifle is a much stronger healing option than staff, just swap it out and the rest of the build is the same :) Honestly you can even just camp rifle and you're good to go.
I love this guide, made me pick up my mesmer again to try something entirely different than the alac/mirage I've been using, with dual staffs. Is this build, weapons and so on still viable with Janthir? Or has something changed enough that another build, weapons and such makes more sense at this point?
In standard t4 and below - definitely For CMs just be prepared to provide enough stab and aegis together with cc and you are golden The only healer capable of rivaling HFB in fractal CMs is this build…which will be even better with rifle!
For regular T4s this is gold! For CMs you must be very good with the build and overall gameplay to make it work! Otherwise it’s gonna be a mess, trust me!
@@Azsharah truth be told...any fractal besides CM can be handled by any healer But for CMs you really need to know what you do - especially as the defensive support And its not that HFB is easy to play ^^ There are sometimes people that try CMs with other healers like scourges which is...quite meh in the results... Regardless heal chrono is the only one with the potential to be an alternative to HFB there
Great video! I geared something similar to this not long ago, but this guide may be just what I need to understand what's going on 😂 Keep up the amazing content!
We already have it. The heal build is basically a condi spec already tuned for healing and boons. Just run Chaos 1/3/1 a swap insp for dueling 3/2/1 for Scepter/Pistol or take dueling 3/1/2 and Illusions 1/3/3 if you just wanna go all in on the scepter and have a flexible offhand
Why does quickness last so long for you , so basically we have to shatter before it expires? The number of clones doesnt matter for renewing quickness/alac?
Hi ! Been playing "agressive" mesmer for years now (Mirage and Virtuoso), only touching healing with Scourge, back then. Noticed that you do stick a lot to scepter/shield in your clips, and it seems to work just fine. Was wondering : since SOTO did bring the rifle to the boon Chrono builds meta, and that I don't have SOTO yet lol, is this config still viable today without it ? I do have Ipos I could also use off-hand if there's a switch needed, though scepter/shield seems just fine. Thanks :]
In my testing during beta Rifle worked best as a replacement for Staff that acts as a useful swap for moments where more dedicated healing is warranted i.e. when Vale Guardian greens are going to rough up your squad, and also as an optimization tool that can replace portal for returning single players that need to run off to handle mechanics back to the group. With the blast finisher on double tapped 3 on the ethereal fields of your wells you can even give yourself and your squad chaos armor so you don't lose that source of regen Staff had.
how well does this build work in wvw or pvp? any recommendations for changes i could make to it to make it suitable for those modes? absolutely loving this in pve so far
Amazing Guide! I was devastated when they killed my alac staff mirage. Time to dust off my mesmer!... Now if only i knew how to do those S+(X) Keybinds :o
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it. Like @CodenameJJT mentioned, I have some of my keybinds set to Shift + another key. Makes it much easier to map multiple skills I find.
New to the game .. in fact I’m still downloading the game .. few questions .. in wow I used to play hunter/warlock/druid as healer etc I loved necro in Diablo .. soooo what is the best healer in game ? And what is the most needed dps in group pve? I saw chronomancer is considered the best healer besides Druid .. can u help me a bit 😂I love dps but lately I’m into healing
i use my chrono for strikers a fractals every day, scepter don't is the best weapon for me, staff is me main weapon, rarely use scepter, only for tank some dmg, only weak part on staff is forced movement
Glad you've been enjoying Chrono! Once amazing thing about staff (especially in fights with shorter phases like Fractals) is that thanks to Staff 3 you can very quickly ramp up quickness and Alacrity.
Main reason is that we want to maximise our healing with this build as much as possible. Harrier/Minstrel/Giver's gear does a much better job of this compared to Celestial.

Mesmer has been my main since I started the game and this looks so good. I love chrono and I love healing
Great video, I follow your guide since the chrono boon. Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much :) This one pairs perfectly with the last Power Boon Chrono build. For PVE it may well be the only class you ever need haha.
Was curious about how well rifle healing was in comparison to switching out staff. Neat vid 👌

My initial plan was to wait for rifle to come out before trying this but I may try it earlier just for some practice.
I expect Rifle to only improve this build. More ranged healing is always a good thing. So now's a great time to jump in and get a head start.
@@connorconcarne Did you have time to test the rifle? What should be swapped for rifle, scepter/shield or staff?
Can I use this in Fractals instead of HFB?
Yeah. I've been using Heal Chrono in fractal for a while now and it works great.
In standard t4 and below - definitely

Fast forward 10 months and we have chrono rifle builds

Would you prefer rifle as a secondary weapon now? Maybe even primary?
hola, no supe que estadisticas de armadura, armas, runa y sellos para el crono healer.

What exactly will change with Rifle?
More burst heals better range heals and barrier 🎉
@@Theuubestofbuus thanks I meant more in practical terms like which weapon set it replaces and playstyle due to easier healing and boons

Great guide but why would you apply slow and chil on alies? You said at 12:22 .
I know you wanted to say on nearby enemies :)

does this work in open world at all? will I kill like a wet noodle if no one else is around?
I don't recommend running a heal build in open world. The boon chronomancer build I covered in another guide works fantastic though.
I’m assuming rifle also now huh?
Yep, just replace staff with rifle and you're good to go.
Amazing Guide! I was devastated when they killed my alac staff mirage. Time to dust off my mesmer!... Now if only i knew how to do those S+(X) Keybinds :o
You set those ability hot keys as "SHIFT + (another key)" and it’ll change. So his ability one is set to "SHIFT + 1" and so on

Try Heal Scourge, it’s a good protector, healing, group reviver!
How does Rifle affect this?
No rifle?

😂
