Not sure how you got most of these numbers. For example, I fished for over 100 hours by now doing the most efficient thing possible, including finishing the repeatable achievement over and over. I get 25 gold per hour if I get lucky, but on average its closer to 15~20 gold per hour. When I do Dragonstorm and sell everything I got including currency conversions, I barely reach 5 gold per Dragonstorm daily.
As with most games, best way to make currency is just to play. I do appreciate that anet is either smart enough or lucky enough that raiding, fishing, and map quest chains (all very different content) are all viable options. Seems though that the best is just get good at raiding so you can knock out daily and weekly fractals, strikes, and raids fast. Spend one day spamming and get a few hundred gold
Hello, Great vid! noobish question here, how do you calculate the gold actually? Like Fractals, do I have to sell all the mats etc... to get the said profit?
The "noob class" is t1. You have to start there anyway, because you won't be able to open the higher tiers before you finish the lower ones, and because you need agony resistance to play the higher tiers. You learn the fractals by progressing through the tiers and they get progressively harder as you go from t1 to t4. So, when you're finally a t4 player, you'll know your stuff. So, just hop in a t1 group, it's fine! T1 fractals are easy, and you can always ask other players if you get confused.
Pretty much, yeah, all professions have their pros and cons. When you play higher tier fractals, you'll start to notice that the groups ask for different roles - like dps, heal, qdps etc. Sometimes specific professions are listed, like hfb - a heal focused firebrand, but pretty often it's just fine whatever profession you play, as long as you fulfill the role that is asked for. In order to do that, you need both the right build, and the right gear. I started as a dps player myself. I’d say that it’s the role that is easiest to start with, if you’re inexperienced with playing in groups. All you need to do, is hit everything as hard as you can, stick together with your group (literally, stay close together with the other players so that the support characters can heal and buff you), be friendly and have fun. If you play a dps role, focus on builds and gear that makes you hit harder, check out snowcrows.com/builds if you need help with figuring out what to choose in that regard :)@@gangrel1234
Pretty much every class is viable :) If you’re new, I recommend picking up a low intensity DPS build, you can find loads of those on hardstuck.gg . Discretize.eu has got pretty much the best “meta” fractal builds
Hello! Is there any way to "break" the gifts of magic or power that they give us in the wizard's tower to recover the T6? I'm not interested in making legendary content but gold is good for me, I thought I saw somewhere that you could unite the gift of power and magic with the ectos etc and make the gift of luck, and you could "break" that one. and recover the t6 and those that could be sold, am I drunk or is there a way to do that? Thanks in advance for reading and future responses :)
What I'm kind of missing is what I'm supposed to be doing to actually get the gold. Just doing the events and such gives me chests and items, but how do I turn that into 20-30 gold? I make like 1 gold from a single run in Dragonfall, but you say it should be 30 gold. So I'm doing something different then. So how do I actually make this gold?
I sorta mention this at the start of the video, but this is how much gold you get if you were to sell everything you get! For Dragonfall, a huge part of your income is also the mentioned trophy shipments, don’t forget about those Should you actually sell everything, though? It kinda depends: if you get materials that you know you will need later, you are better off stockpiling them, instead of selling them and then buying them back for more later. However, even if you decide to keep certain items, that is still “value” you get, so they are included in the profit numbers
@@Laranity Yea, I probably stash the components in my bank that would net all the Gold then. I have a really old account but hat a long hiatus of over 8 years and now get back into it, playing through all the stories and unlocking the mounts (which can be expensive). So I don't have a boatload of materials unfortunately and all the areas I visit will give new stuff that I never had before. Also don't have a whole lot of time to play so I have to pick and choose and avoid getting burned out otherwise it's just a waste of time. By the way, are you Dutch by any chance?
Good info, sadly as a semi-new player i have found both Strike missions and Fractals (low level at the moment) to be full of the most toxic people i have encountered in the game. Shame, as some of the Strike missions seem fun but seem to be gate kept by the min-max crowd.
you actually dont even have to play fractals to make gold off them, just buy the deeply discounted keys and buy the chests for them and you still make more gold then chests and keys costs. but that does cut into them, then there is the weekly buying items in arborstone that gets you 14-20 gold each week
Pro tip for Fractals: every day buy the 30 discounted keys, do daily + rec, if u can cm too, and open the encryption when u have 250 or 1000, so u upgrade u're chances of getting the expensives drops

I was told that Octovine was super profitable, but I couldn't motivate myself to farm it every day. I'm glad to not see it on your list. :D Recently, after a big loss of raw gold (finished a legendary), I tried to always do the tier 4 fractals and the daily strike missions, and indeed, my gold stock visibly growing, it's very motivating. I'll try some of the other content you recommended from times to times, but I prefer quick and various content, otherwise I'll become bored easily. Oh, and the fishing, yeah! I had a period of time when I did like one hour of fishing while listening to some podcasts, and indeed, it's perfect to make easy gold while having you brain occupied on something else. :) Have you tried the leviathan farm in Cantha btw? I heard it's quick and gives a good amount of ambergris, but never tried it myself.
@@bobiboulonif you are fishing Kaineng docks you can join a Levi farm session to basically add +10 ambergris to your loot for that day (10 is the daily cap)
Is it worth doing the T1-3 recommended fractals as well as the T4 dailies? I always assumed doing T4 + recs was the best thing for me to do, although that can end up taking an hour.
In my opinion the fastet way is: Clean the neighbors' windows. Take the cash. Buy gemstones and exchange them for gold. This way you can earn 1250 gold in about 2-3 hours. You also farm reputation in the neighborhood.
With CMs added into the equation (at least 99 through 97, 100 might be a stretch atm), and some tweaking to my loot, I hit nearly 1k gold/month on fractals.
Drops, liquid gold, and also eternal ice shards! You can trade those for mistborn motes, consume them for Volatile Magic, and then buy trophy shipments in Dragonfall
Well I have just one particular problem in guild wars 2. I have a really hard time finding a commander or group that is doing this trains/runs etc. Maybe its just me, the time on which I play I dunno. I joined discord Hardstuck to track what's going on, I keep checking ingame group search etc. I sometimes have the feeling that without the latest expansion I am almost alone roaming :) Any tips/ideas for me?
A new surprise gold farm in the current state of the game: WvW. - The most recent WvW update has juiced tf out of the instant reward track potions you get from skirmish chests. - The End of Dragons reward track is still a solid 18g/hour BEFORE taking into calculations the skirmish potions and all the reward track and WXP bonuses from various sources. - Rank up rewards give you around 30 liquid silver. - There is effectively no down time as long as you can keep up participation, which is easy. - The g/h can only get better the longer you play WvW. Higher WvW rank gives you more pip/tick -> you get skirmish chests faster - Reward tracks give magic-find-affected boxes which you can save up for one MF-juiced opening session.
Not sure how this is supposed to work. Joining a coordinated zerg with discord and keeping participation at tier 6 all the time, also running +25% reward track progress, i complete a reward track in a little over 4 hours. According to fast farming, the entire reward track for End of Dragons is worth roughly 23 gold. How do you reach 18 gold per hour? Edit: I also just remembered I used gw2efficiency to track gold income using the Farming tab, and it showed 8 gold per hour.
@@omegasrevenge Not sure what counts toward gw2efficiency's number but the 18g/h figure of the EoD track comes with the assumption that you always make the best choices in selecting the weapon boxes and armor boxes and you can convert the Writs to Imperial Favor and then to T3 precursors to sell for a premium.
@@aquapendulum Yes I am always picking the choices that fast farming is telling me to do, and it already converted the writs into gold from the best precursor to make and sell at the time of calculation. Best gold farm in the game: T4 aetherblade fractal with fractal account buffs (takes a bit more than 1 year to max out but it get decent after 6ish monthes). It is intensive but non gated. 2nd best is doing T4 + CM runs, even without the fractal account buffs. The challenge mote fractals give overall more raw gold than T4 and greatly speed up fractal meta progression toward unlocking titles. Seems though that the best is just get good at raiding so you can knock out daily and weekly fractals, strikes, and raids fast. Spend one day spamming and get a few hundred gold
Ok FINE, I subscribed. Your gw2 content is really good.
Thank you so much for this video! It is a HUGE help!
Very nice video! I didn't know about your other "You might be rich" video lol (You should have put a link to that in the text!)
Hello, Great vid! noobish question here, how do you calculate the gold actually? Like Fractals, do I have to sell all the mats etc... to get the said profit?
Very useful, thanks!
Keep em coming sis 🎉
What’s the best „noob class“ for t4 fractals? Like, where I’m most likely some kind of help and not a burden😮
@@MrsHjort thanks, so any Class is viable?
@@Laranity thanks! I’m new in terms of instanced pve, only played open world or PvP😅 I’ll give it a try
Octovine is not listed..is it top 10?
Lost my account and had to start all over.. this guide is gonna help me get it all back ty!
u always make these at the perfect time thank u
What is that epic, orchestral background music? you usually have GW2 music in background, but i don't recognize this one.
They really turned gw2 into rift? Like they took the best aspect from the previously best f2p game and added it... amazing
How did you got the drink coffee emote? Wasn’t it tied just for us delivery?
new to gw2 but not mmos and your vids are so nice ty sm :)
Girl, you're killing it lately.
For Dragonfall, a huge part of your income is also the mentioned trophy shipments, don’t forget about those
Should you actually sell everything, though?
Amazing video, tyvm!~
Thanks for your video ❤
Goeie video’s, duidelijk en informatief! Je praat makkelijk weg in het Engels. Ik vind je Nederlandse accent wel best heftig, als ik dat mag zeggen
i dont know what a "dragons end meta" is. can u explain? is it a world event i just go searching for?
How? Please elaborate.
Nice! Thank you!
just reached lvl 80 my gear sucks i want make some gold and do fracs whats minium gear i need for tier 1 fracs? best way to progress?
nice info thanks!
Mistborn motes can also be turned into amulets for a chance at the salvaged excellence (~400g) for fractal reliquary.
What is a comfortable amount of gold to sit around?
Now I know how to sustain my crippling addiction for new characters and I'm happy to announce I'll soon have 45 slots with every class for every race and I *WILL* be grinding to grant drip for EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM.
i used to grind gold farming karka shells back in the day when i was unemployed. now i just swipe, much easier LOL. 1 hour of work = 1500g vs having to farm 50 hours.....
farm gold irl, enjoy game
Have you tried the leviathan farm in Cantha btw? I heard it's quick and gives a good amount of ambergris, but never tried it myself.
no,leviathan only drop 1 ambergris per kill, and only spawn during certain event ,basically it just a nice addition if you are in the area
@@joyboy6067 Ok, ok, thx! :)
@@bobiboulonif you are fishing Kaineng docks you can join a Levi farm session to basically add +10 ambergris to your loot for that day (10 is the daily cap)
@@insertwordthere Good to know.
This video is worth it's weight in 🥇
Is it worth doing the T1-3 recommended fractals as well as the T4 dailies? I always assumed doing T4 + recs was the best thing for me to do, although that can end up taking an hour.
Recs aren’t amazing for gold/hour tbh, but they are easy and you can get fast potions + fractal currencies
@@Laranity thank you!
ty for the tips, this game is so good ! 💌
I didn't expect the fishing to be at no. 2 as a full time fisherman I can confirm this.
In my opinion the fastet way is:
Clean the neighbors' windows.
Take the cash. Buy gemstones and exchange them for gold.
This way you can earn 1250 gold in about 2-3 hours.
You also farm reputation in the neighborhood.
Nice definition its a real sh1t on this game haha
With CMs added into the equation (at least 99 through 97, 100 might be a stretch atm), and some tweaking to my loot, I hit nearly 1k gold/month on fractals.
30 mins of T4 gives you 20 gold without counting the mats you can sell later, to me thats the best way to make some quick gold.
Where does the gold come from the IBS strikes?
Drops, liquid gold, and also eternal ice shards! You can trade those for mistborn motes, consume them for Volatile Magic, and then buy trophy shipments in Dragonfall
dragonstorm 7.5 an hour that you can only do once a day, every 2 hours. ..30g an hour? fixed. I got Rytland's frostsaw ! but I never made over 5g
Bit old to the party but can i actually do any of this with just core game?
nice vid! ill use this to bait my friends to play gw2 again
Higher WvW rank gives you more pip/tick -> you get skirmish chests faster
- Reward tracks give magic-find-affected boxes which you can save up for one MF-juiced opening session.
Sounds awesome, gotta try this!
The entire reward track is the best one in the game and its worth 23g. At least according to fast-farming. I don't know what I am missing.
You missed the actual number 1. Even in 3rd world countries like the US you earn 350g/hour flipping burgers.
The gem to gold converter is really an underestimated farm with an incredible profit that is just unnoticed
What hammer skin is that? The one with the lava look
It’s the Primordus variant of Aurene’s Weight! Legendary hammer from End of Dragons
thank you@@Laranity
does anyone know if Dragon Stand has any profit at all? i find it a really fun and amazing meta but no idae the value of it
Do you sell or salvage green stuff?
if you have an runecrafter salvage kit use that. if you don't have that one either sell it or use basic/coppper fed salvage kits
Fractal account buffs and infinite pots are the best thing you can grind for overtime, it is a masssive overtime generation of karma, mystic forge juice and raw gold. Find some friends and make it is 30-40mn afterwork daily ritual, you get good at the game and it gets funny trying to beat yourself there. Also, I play mmo since the inception of the genre(I'm 39), and CM 100 is one if not the best pve fight I've ever experienced in a game.
Haven't played for more than a year, but this video made me want go back... I guess here we are again, bye social life! X)
Riba run is about 30 minutes and yields 3G if you sell everything on TP. Thats 6G per hour. I dont know why people say 20G per hour.
No Auric Basin?
I've spend 2-3 hrs fishing, it is MIND NUMBING. If you are looking to farm for 3-4 hours, I would not recommend doing this one unless you can't find other groups and desperately need the gold.
Tot bags and wintersday boxes hVe decent chances to farm charted quartz crystals... they have no cap per charged quartz crystals used from the vendors. Halloweennis coming so get farming
are these maps avalible if you dont have expansions?
Of the list in this video, only the Silverwastes is available for those without expansions.
so far for me it is fishing thats the best gold farm, i get about 40-60gold per hour based on luck but the best luck i had was 245g in half an hour, ever 2 fish out of the 3 and some time all 3 was legendary, and some asceded was dropiung the abmber too, the price for amber was 2.80g somthing at the timeas well so this helped :)
